Massage Envy – Brier Creek

This is my second visit and I have to say it was wonderful. I think my therapist was Gerrie G. He was excellent. I feel like I have I have a new body. I have frequent headaches and he relieved a lot of tension. My vision seems a little bit more clear afterwards too. Brier creek is also a very nice clean part of Raleigh and this massage envy is in a prime location. Definitely will be coming back to become Gerries regular:

I just went to this Massage Envy for the first time and I enjoyed everything so much I am now a member… and massage envy has been trying to get me for a couple years of intermittent massages. The in house staff are courteous, the place is clean, and overall was a good experience.
I had a deep tissue massage with JARED. He’s amazing. I don’t usually like a lot of pressure and I have never had a deep tissue before but I hurt my back and my doc recommended some massage or physical therapy. Since my issue is muscular, I decided to try massage first.
First off he was great at identifying what I needed and he took it easy on me being as I have never had anything more than a ¹⁄₁₀ pressure or «relaxing» massage. It HURT like the dickens but he was able to work out so much with his technique not with strength or digging in my back.
I had so much pain in my right shoulder and whenever I turned my head it also hurt or pulled a muscle… as soon as I got in my car and I checked my rear view which usually makes that pain trigger… nothing.
Already scheduled another appointment in 2 weeks!

High pressure sales tactics. The lady at front unprofessional-​she was eating food up at front, couldn’t get my name correct nor schedule the right time. Customer service lacking tremendously!

I got a Hot Stone massage here. I had Celeste and she was great. Very attentive to my needs and made me very comfortable, def recommend her! The reason I gave 3 stars is not a reflection of her, but a reflection of the fact that this place is a chain, and they do try damn hard to get you to become a member and pay monthly fees. I expected this but nevertheless, it is a bit annoying. I don’t blame front desk staff — they were very friendly and sweet, but it is their job to «sell» you. Good overall, without bells and whistles, but likely would go to a non-​chain spot again.

I signed up for there membership over a year ago and have really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The girls at front desk are very friendly and make sure your comfortable while you wait. My massage therapist is Melissa, she is amazing and really shows her concern about my muscles and what we need to focus on to get the most benefit from the massage.

As part of a sporadic ritual of healing and purification, I drag my wretched self into Massage Envy for a two-​hour restoration effort by Amanda. Like a human Swiss army knife, she brings forth an arsenal of tools to address my growing list of maladies. With surgical precision, her fingers probe and prod deep into my neck, arms and shoulders as she targets invisible knots lurking beneath my skin. Her palms firmly persuade the toxins and tension from my thighs. As word spreads, anatomical structures of nefarious intent just run away in fear.
After flipping onto my stomach, forearms and elbows are deployed as she works her wizardry on my hamstrings, glutes and back. There could have been a knee used somewhere in the process; not quite sure and, at this point, I really didn’t care as Zen was fast approaching Amanda is the only therapist that can deliver me into enlightenment, but without the requisite lifelong vow of celibacy, isolation and melancholy chanting in monastic robes.
Afterwards, I stagger into the sunlight feeling as though I should somehow pay it forward — like an unknown force is charting my life balance of give and take. I have a sudden urge to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, or at least write someone a check.

I had tried another ME location and wasn’t happy with it, but decided to try again since I had a gift card and really needed a massage. The reception staff is quite friendly and efficient, and the waiting room is wonderful (calm music, drinking water, etc). No hard sell here, which I appreciated.
My massage therapist didn’t keep me waiting. Jason was friendly, professional and great at his craft. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable having a male massage therapist. He focused on all the areas that needed attention, and I walked out feeling amazing. After a few months Jason left, but he referred me to Jessie who is just as wonderful.
I started this as an experiment, thinking there was no way I would want to have a massage every month. Now I am a happy customer and can’t wait for my next appointment. It is a great way to remove tension and stress from a desk job and physical activity. It’s my little indulgence.

I have been going to spas for 30 years and have been quite surprised at the quality of the massages I’ve received at Massage Envy in Brier Creek. Aaron may be one of the best massage therapists in Raleigh – several others are excellent as well. They are kind and efficient. Well done!

The deal for your first time massage here is great…$ 49 for 1 hour deep tissue? Excellent!
This definitely isn’t like a spa, but it works well for people with busy schedules.
My massage was great, though honestly quite painful. It was my own fault for not saying anything, but I assumed that the pain was going to be a good thing. When I walked out, I felt ready to take on the day. However, hours later I became extremely sore on my right shoulder. The massage therapist had spent at least 15 minutes on that location. As the evening progressed, my shoulder became swollen and tender to the touch. A bit concerning… After looking this up online, it appeared that this can be a side effect of too much attention to one area. While I appreciated his dedication in trying to work the horrid knots out of my back, I am still sore 2 days later which I’m not a big fan of.
Regardless of that, I still think this place is great.

Not bad for a chain. This place gets 5 stars because:
1. It runs like a well massage-​oiled machine. There were many options for appointment times, I was checked in and out by friendly and efficient folks, and it was as quiet as a library in there.
2. My therapist was so wonderful. Her firm pressure didn’t leave me sore for a week after the massage.
I plan to go back to see if they keep all 5 stars and are worthy of their name. It will be my pleasure!

Massage Envy is a chain and this one is located in the Brier Creek shopping center. They managed to lure me in because as a first-​time customer, they have a special where you pay just $ 49 for a one hour massage. That’s a pretty good deal in my book because their one hour massages are usually around $ 90. What’s awesome is that once you get on their mailing list or after they get your information on your first visit, they start sending you these awesome coupons about every month to every other month asking you to come back to try out their introductory special of $ 49 «one» more time!
I’ve had three different massage therapists do my massage here and all of them did a great job. I’m a deep tissue massage kind of girl and I’ve had massage therapists in the past that don’t have the muscle for it, but that definitely wasn’t the case here. The massage therapists do a great job of going over your problem areas with you before diving into the massage. Their facilities are very clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Don’t expect this to be like a day spa though because it’s not.
Lastly, if you’re the kind of person who gets massages often, this might be a great place for you. They have a membership program that offers their massages at a discounted rate if you sign up for a year’s worth. Just ask them about it when you go in!
