We had repeated bad experiences at this goodberrys. The ice cream is fine but the service is really bad. We went there on evening and service was slow and two kids behind the counter had their phones out. Another time the person taking orders forgot ours and we had to go back and ask for them again. Last time my daughter ordered a vanilla custard soda and it tasted terrible. Instead of using vanilla syrup they used straight vanilla extract. When she tried to explain this to the person behind the counter, they didn’t seem to understand the problem. The place seems to lack any supervision. Just sad.

Today we came just for the coconut flavor. When i asked what size does it come, the cashier said any size. Noting they only have the concrete sizes in display. So I ordered a triple thinking it was the biggest. When i saw the triple i asked nicely if i can just get the jumbo instead. I was met with a blank stare in all the employees faces like it was the end of the world. The cashier rolled her eyes when she walked away to a calculator. I can understand if i order something complicated and they put a lot of effort into it and had to redo it. But it wasn’t complicated… I just ordered coconut with nothing else in it. I felt the attitude was not warranted and felt all the employees were rude. Poor customer service.

My husband and I are Fresh and Coldstone lovers, but the line for Coldstone has been crazy long lately and Fresh was too far. My husband convinced me to try this place. I was skeptical b/c I’d never had custard before, but he assured me it was just like ice cream. First, customer service is a big deal to me. Everyone that walked up to the window was greeted warmly except for me any my husband. It was my first time there, and there are no instructions on how to order. I had no idea there were only 2 flavors. The only thing listed on the«menu» are toppings. I mentioned that it was my first time, but the cashier just stared at me blankly. Finally I started to order. «Chocolate w/brownie and almonds-» Then I was cut off by the cashier who was ready w/our order total. Um… okay? I guess that’s all I’ll get mixed in. I had planned on adding caramel, but maybe she was in a rush. Hmpf! So the custard– It was cool. I couldn’t really tell there was any brownie in it. It seemed like the brownie had broken into tiny crumbs. No more than 5 minutes later, most of it was melted and it turned out to be more like chocolate milk w/almonds and brownie crumbs. LOL My husband happens to like melted«ice cream.» So he didn’t mind, but I was wishing I had gone to the place w/the long lines, unlimited mix-ins and welcoming servers.

FORGETIT… My Fiancée & I were just here. Ice cream was decent.(For 5 $ a pop) We sat down by the fountain; only to find A FREAKIN’ MOUSE crawling inches away from our feet! So We moved and sat up on the bricks … Just to make matters worse; we finished our ice cream, went to exit &THEBIGGEST(what we think was a) BATTLEBEETLE was on my fiancées shoulder !!! Thing was at least 3 inches in length … Had a whole crowd of people around us as I slapped it off of him. You could literally hear it hit the floor is was so big. My best advise to management: pest control maintenance plan is $ 95 /month… Sell 19 damn overpriced custards & you break even. Have staff hose down patio daily & pressure clean weekly. From one manager to another there is NOEXCUSE on earth for lack of customer care !

As good as it gets for a sweet summer treat! Fun combinations in their concretes! And nice rotation of flavors each season. Now if only I could convince them to keep rum raisin in stock year round!

Milkshakes here are great… You can actually use a straw with ease vs. spoon which is how a real shake should be. Tastes real without all the fake stuff. Lots of options to choose from as far as flavors go. The jumbo isn’t huge but definitely sized a little bigger than the regular one which is only a buck or so cheaper.

I love their concretes! They always get my order right and you can watch the custard come out of the machine as you order. They have a different specialty flavor each day of the month, although they always have chocolate and vanilla. I ordered a chocolate concrete with raspberries. My raspberries went about ¾ of the way down, but I really didn’t mind because even the custard was delicious. They have a great outdoor area(there is no indoor area) for sitting.

This place officially has my heart. Good berry is thick, delicious custard GOODNESS. I’m originally from Connecticut where we have a bunch of great homemade ice cream shops. So, I was hoping I’d find a great homemade ice cream store here in NC. I wasn’t having any luck finding one. So, I plugged in «ice cream» in my ever so faithful Unilocal app and«Good berry» popped up. I’m a sucker for anything unique, so I decided to try it. I couldn’t be happier to have found such a perfect creamy/cold treat! I got the vanilla custard with coconut and toasted almonds. YUM! Another plus, the mini concrete(similar to the blizzards at DQ) are so big! I’d say there mini size is equivalent to a medium at most ice cream places. Please check this place out if you’re looking for something completely satisfying. This place is the real deal when it comes to custard. I am really looking forward to my next visit here.

Goodberry’s isn’t ice cream, it’s frozen custard. There’s a difference. Know that when you stop here. I had a pretty serious craving for some Goodberry’s last night so we stopped in. Most locations are a walk-up style where you order, then hang out outside or head somewhere else to eat your custard. I ordered the Reece’s Sunday and it was DELICIOUS. The ratio of custard to Reece’s to hot fudge to whipped cream was perfect. Now, if I wasn’t satisfied with the amount of custard in my cup or topping, or anything else, as a consumer I would walk back up, and ask for it to be made again. However, my experience was that the proportions were good and hit the nail on the head for a treat.

Ordered a Sunday and the portion only filled ½ cup. Not what it used to be. Just can’t get what you pay for

I don’t know why people love this place. I guess maybe because I am not used to melty(almost liquid) and with barely any flavor. The only thing I liked was the chocolate chips in it, but I found the custard was tasteless and overpriced. Just in case you’re wondering; they serve custard, not icecream.

Don’t come here if you’re expecting ice cream. Goodberry’s is creamy delicious frozen custard goodness. They start with a base of vanilla or chocolate(or the flavor of the day) and mix in different toppings to order to make any flavor you want. The only bad thing about this place is that the prices are crazy insane. I worked here in high school and I thought they were bad then, but they’ve gone up even more! I know it’s good, but wow, it doesn’t need to cost that much. It’s all outside seating, so if it’s raining you’ll be eating in your car.

This was my go-to place when I had a sweet tooth while I was pregnant. It’s lovely in the summer. You can check their website to see what the flavor of the day is as well.

This stuff is really, really good. You get to choose you flavor and what you want mixed in with it. It you can’t get something you like here, you are just too darn picky. It is a great place to go, hang out, and eat what you got(unless it is raining or really cold because there is no indoor seating). It is fresh made. You see the custard cascading out the machine into the bucket that they spoon your order out of. When people come from out of the area the one place they always want to go to is Goodberry’s.

Hurray for Goodberry’s! Frozen custard is a treat indeed, and Goodberry’s is very much the real thing. A «mini concrete» is just the right treat when you’re looking for some chilly yummies to pass the dog days of summer.

I tried the Butter Pecan with pieces of toffee in it, BEST combination I could ever dream of. Especially because it’s Goodberry’s Custard! This is the creamiest frozen custard I’ve had, and worth the trip and every penny.

They just don’t make ‘em like Goodberry’s. Don’t be mistaken my fellow Unilocalers… this is NOT ice cream! Forget that icy texture… this is creamy custard goodness! What do I love about goodberry’s? NO scary ingredients! Plethora of ever changing and seasonal flavors, always friendly staff! Definitely go to goodberry’s website and check out the flavor of the day! Some of our favorites: Jamocha, Pumpkin(change your life good!), Orange Cream and Dulce de Leche. Goodberrys also serves food and makes a mean old fashioned lemonade! My go-to when I’m not interested in the flavor of the day is a vanilla Carolina concrete with strawberries and oreos! Don’t knock it, ’til you try it! =)
