If you want a 5 star hairdresser that doesn’t charge you like a 5 star go to The Cutting Edge and ask for Jennifer Mavity. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for 15+ years and I can’t tell you how great I look and feel when I walk out. My friends like the way Jennifer cuts my hair and now they to go her too!

Lorrie is amazing! Proud to tell my friends and the world she is MY stylist, and have stuck with her for the past 6+ years! I rarely have to tell her what to do with my hair — even if I’m not sure what look I want, she makes suggestions and I trust her and let her just cut away. She knows everything about my hair, and really has a great eye and attention to detail. Not to mention she’s hilarious to talk to! Love her, love the girls in the salon, and The Cutting Edge just rocks!

Lorrie is a genius. I came to her about 4 years ago for a trim and a brow wax, and I haven’t trusted anyone else with my head since, even driving in from Emerald Isle and Chapel Hill as I have moved around over the years. She’s amazing, and really gets to know your hair texture and everything before she sets into doing anything drastic. I’ve gotten more compliments on my hair since she’s started doing it than I’ve ever gotten on my hair before.
The rest of the staff at Cutting Edge is also really great. I’ve referred a lot of friends to the salon who have had similarly positive experiences with them, and they all seem really friendly.
