How could this get any less than 5 stars? Great ice cream, great staff. Fun atmosphere with games to play.

An ice cream place next to a Little Caesars now how spesh is that? I entered expecting to find things sold at Frisky and at a gun shop but instead I was greeted by two cheerful women who gave me some pretty good ice cream and I even took home a slice of rum cake. The place is something you would find in Mayberry these days… small tables and a very quaint Garner décor. It is off Capitol Boulevard so tread lightly and enjoy tis place at least once in your life.

Some of the best icecream I have ever had. Right before the wife and I drove to Chuck after dinner, we were talking about how great the icecream was at Sundaes and Cones in the East Village in NYC and how we were craving something just as delicious The only difference between these two fine establishments is that Katie Holmes has been caught getting her desert game on at Sundaes and Cones while Chuck doesn’t boast any celebrity clientele yet. The shop is located in a strip mall on Capital Blvd and the signage isn’t overly distinctive, but the founders opened up shop a few months ago and are steadily building a fanbase through strong word of mouth and Unilocal reviews. Not to be missed.

Their ice cream is stellar. Their chocolate peanut butter ice cream is making me drool while I type this. My first time there I had a hot fudge sundae and took home a pint, and those were both great choices. It’s family owned, all the ice cream is made in house, AND they have board games! What more could you want in an ice cream place? The colder weather approaching won’t slow my desire for more Chuck & Bucks! Update: I went back recently and grabbed a pint of Chocolate Truffle to take home. Hands down BEST chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had. I’m going to need to hit the gym, because I’m ice cream obsessed.

Great place for local Homemade Ice Cream that is creamy, delicious, and not overly sweet. They have a large selection of flavors, and the Ice Creams that contain nuts are thoughtfully placed in a separate freezer to avoid any allergy issues. They also have a good selection of other desserts as well. Can’t wait to try something else.

This is a great little out of the way place, My daughter and I were in Raleigh working on a house that I am selling. She needed a break and we found Chuck and Bucks is just up the street. Not only is the ice cream fantastic but they have a great assortment of old school kids games we had a blast.

Boo. I won’t be back especially with Chik Fil A right across the street. I prefer their milkshakes any day over what I had here disguised as a chocolate shake. Besides being served in a coffee cup and using 1 percent milk, this shake lacked the chocolaty sweetness that one looks for in a chocolate shake. It was cold, it did have whipped cream but had to ask for more syrup to try to make it taste like anything. Again boo. I won’t be back for a milkshake.

Nothing better than fresh, homemade ice cream on a hot, humid NC day! At least that’s the excuse I gave myself for driving all the way across town for some ice cream. The ice cream was definitely worth it! As many of the other reviews noted, the service was superb. There was only one employee working behind the counter, but she managed to help me and another group of kids simultaneously get all of our sample cravings. I’m sad to say I’m not quite sure about the name of the ice cream I ended up choosing(Chocolate Mud Pie? Chocolate on Chocolate?), but I told her I was craving some serious chocolate and she handed me a sample scoop of this flavor. The Cin-A-Bön was also a close 2nd option as it really did taste like a Cinnabon! I took advantage of the free waffle cone offer for checking in on Unilocal and got 2 scoops. They make their own cones here fresh every morning and they are huge! I could barely finish the 2 scoops after eating pizza(more on that later). The scoops are a little pricey as the whole cone cost me almost $ 5. They are only charging $ 0.99 for a bottle of water though! It was useful for us to note that the place is in the same building as a Little Caesar’s location and it is connected inside as well. So we ordered a pizza, came back and picked out our flavor, grabbed our pizza, ate it at Chuck & Buck, and then grabbed my cone! The nice lady at the Chuck & Buck counter told us we could enjoy the pizza at any of their tables and grab my ice cream whenever I was ready. It was an extremely fast and convenient dinner. The only downside was that the location was not as clean as we would have hoped for an ice cream place. There were a few flies buzzing around when we were eating. I guess we are guilty of contributing to this, but it is a bit weird to have an ice cream place smelling like pizza. Overall however, I would definitely return to try some of their other various flavors and maybe even grab one of their to-go pints!

It was a hot day. I had endured a long and busy schedule. I like sweets(particularly in the form of ice cream). I used all of the excuses above to go out of my way to treat myself to this place. I came here with some friends and I don’t know how many samples we had– the owner was so friendly, she kept suggesting we try out more flavors before making a decision! And so we did haha. All of them were so rich and creamy. I decided to get two scoops of the coffee mud pie and chocolate snickers– both were especially sweet and delicious! I liked the fact that the ice cream flavors with nuts were in an entirely different section than those without nuts. How considerate! Anyhow, after speaking with the owner for a long while, I learned that their ice cream is 100% chemical and fructose corn syrup free, they only make 2 boxes of ice cream at a time, waffle cones are made daily, and they rotate ~100 flavors! Wow talk about encouraging customers to come back for more~ Note, 2 scoops run at 5 bucks. The only thing that bothered me about this place was its cleanliness. It was a pretty slow afternoon but a lot of the tables were left dirty and flies kept pestering us during our time there. Overall, a cute place to try out! It has a cute and homey vibe.

Chuck and Bucks was a very pleasant surprise when I came here for a late night treat. From the outside, it might seem like another ice cream shop, but inside is a great assortment of amazing flavors. We were immediately greeted walking in, and you could feel the family vibe there. The ladies working there were very friendly, and they were very eager for us to try their ice cream. I went with a double scoop of apple pie and coffee mud pie. The ice cream in general is very smooth and creamy, yet not overall thick. The apple pie was really good. It tasted just like apple pie. I could really taste the sweetness of the chunky apple pie filling and there was some great texture with the bits of pie crust. The coffee mud pie was also really good and had a lovely and strong coffee flavor with a great mix of chocolate. Both flavored were home runs for me. I would also recommend getting a waffle cone. They are made fresh in store and you get a free one for checking in on Unilocal! I would highly recommend Chuck and Bucks. Their prices are very reasonable and you are getting, fresh homemade ice cream. They have so many great flavors and I will be back for more.

Great ice cream! The owners are very friendly with great customer service. It has a very family feel to the place and the ice cream is delicious. I think it costs around $ 2.85 per scoop. Regardless, it’s definitely worth it! Highly recommend!

Chucks serve a good variety of flavors. I had the maple walnut, which was smooth and creamy. The walnuts were really broken down in small pieces, but you can tell they were there. Over $ 3 for a small is a bit pricey. Sunny Skies prices are way cheaper. I’m just saying. I like the friendly service. It’s a good spot on a hot day. I give them more like 3⁄12 stars.

The ice cream at chuck & buck Cones n cups is certainly worth trying this summer. I stopped in the ice cream shop not sure what to expect, and it succeeded my expectations. The second I walked in, I was greeted by the owners who were super friendly. They were practically begging me to try out even more flavors than I had and were not stingy about testing out many flavors. They were all so good it was hard to choose! I had to go with the blueberry. It was the creamiest blueberry ice cream I’ve had. I got it in the waffle cone which tasted really fresh and crunchy. The atmosphere of this little ice cream shop is very down to earth. It’s a cool place to hang out as they have many board games to choose from. I will definitely be back again this summer to try out some more of their ice cream flavors and I can’t wait!

I saw a picture of an ice cream cookie sandwich on Unilocal and I had to have one. I immediately called up to see if one was available and she said yes, there’s only one left! She offered to hold it for me and I jumped for joy and ran out the door. We get there and were kindly greeted at the door. They offered us samples of anything we would like to try. I tried the banana pudding ice cream, while delicious, I only had eyes for my ice cream cookie sandwich. It was da bomb. They offer many different flavored homemade ice creams, cakes, cake pops, muffins, and packed pints to go as well. They had a decent amount of seating compared to other ice cream places I’ve been to. The ladies working were very friendly. She said«how can you be in a bad mood when you’re serving ice cream?» I agreed with a smile. Can’t wait to go back

The ice cream at this little shop is delicious. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t so darn expensive. We had 2 cones with double scoops and a toddler cone and it came out to $ 12 and change. I wouldn’t be so upset about the price if the scoops were bigger; they were very, very small. Unfortunately we went on a night when it was packed with a birthday party. I will say the staff went out of their way to make sure they found us seats. We were thankful for that because the whole reason we went there was to eat in.

The owner is super nice and welcoming! All of their ice cream is homemade! Tried the pumpkin ice cream which was good. Not super sweet and lots of pumpkin flavor and liked that it didn’t taste artificial. What I really went in for was the ice cream sandwich though and that was good! Let it thaw for a minute or two before you bite into it and it will be oh so delicious! Doesn’t skimp on the chocolate chunks! They had lots of unique flavors to choose from like strawberry cheesecake, moose tracks, chocolate peanut butter, etc!

I was very impressed with the quality of the fresh, homemade ice creams here. This location is clean and comfortable to sit down in, the owners are nice and knowledgeable about their product, and the ice cream is very well made with high quality local ingredients. The waffle bowl was also homemade and very fresh, light, crisp and delicate. Prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality. We had the pistachio cherry and the butter pecan, both of which were outstanding. The nuts were very fresh and good, not stale tasting as they are in too many places. The chunks of cherry were intensely flavored and delicious. Top shelf ice cream right here in Raleigh! I’ll be back.

In the big plaza where Food Lion is, in the small building with Little caesars. I had the carrot cake, it was good but it was a little hard. Also, the spice was a tad strong. I’m very picky about my carrot cake! Lol The ice cream was good not great. It’s all homemade and they have a bunch of flavors. I had the chocolate pb, coffee mud and banana pudding. As I said, it was good, I would come here again but not my first choice in the triangle.

Amazingly helpful and pleasant. I had pumpkin in a waffle cone, my son had cookies and cream, and my daughter had cake batter and cookie dough. It was all very rich like a great homemade ice cream. The baked goods looked yummy. So much that my daughter bought a muffin. It is great seeing endeavors like this. And I would suggest everybody give them a shot. There is no way you would leave disappointed
