Great brunch. I know that is a repetitive statement. Be ready for a wait to be seated.

Breakfast here is not a good idea. I’ve only ever had breakfast, so I can’t comment on anything else. I’ve ordered several different egg dishes that seemingly got worse each time. I’ve dined here 4 times in recent weeks. Today was the last straw. I ordered an egg white scramble with feta, spinach, peppers, jalapeños, and onions. I asked for it to be made with 3 egg whites. It came is a tiny dish and was super undercooked. There’s no way it was made with 3 eggs, but I was certainly charged for them. The jalapeños were cold and fresh out of the jar. The feta hadn’t even been scrambled into the dish. I also had a side of grits that had more butter than grits in the bowl. Flavorless and unseasoned were the grits. I tried to give this place a few chances hoping they’d make some great food at least once. These guys just don’t care. However, it’s a place that’s very appealing to a much older crowd. I will certainly never be going back.

My mother wasn’t ready to let the wife and I leave her and to head back home. We decided to go for a mid-morning breakfast with her and my oldest nephew. I heard that this place gets a little crowded but since it was a Tuesday morning we were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was super-friendly. I believe this young lady knew every individual that walked through that door. She was even having conversations with patrons that weren’t even in her section. She gave us enough time to figure out our orders, and our food was at our table in no time. Brigs is known for their eggs benedict, and I would usually try an establishment’s specialty but, I just could not bring myself to do it. Other than the poached egg, I think it is the hollandaise sauce that puts me off. No worries, the menu at Brigs contains plenty of items to satisfy any hunger and taste.
When it comes to breakfast I become a little indecisive. Deciding between eggs or syrup food turns into whether I should have pancakes or French toast. Wait grits are on the menu? Maybe I should get grits & eggs or order pancakes with a side of grits if possible. What I love about visiting the South, is that they believe in breakfast; big breakfast. This usually means there is something on the menu that will encompass everything, and Brigs did not disappoint. The Griddle Combo was right up my alley. Your choice of two pancakes, French toast, or a Belgian waffle served with eggs, and your choice of one of the additional 12 breakfast sides. Before I go any further I must inform you that if you are struggling between breakfast and lunch, Chicken Tenders, and crab cakes(additional $ 2), are two of the side items available to add to the Griddle Combo! As I stated; any hunger any craving! I went with the Pancake Combo, with a side of grits. My nephew ordered the French toast combo. The short-stack of pancakes was enough for one individual, my grits were buttery and creamy, and my eggs were cooked exactly to my preference. Brigs is not your over the top, best food you ever had, type of eatery. It wasn’t even the best breakfast I had during my stay. However, Brigs does have good food, at a good price, and a very generous portion. I will be back next trip to Raleigh.

I visited Brigs today and was told their was an 30 minutes wait for a table. I was finally paged and seated in the back of the restaurant, I notice I was the only AA person in this seating area, after placing my order I notice that more tables were becoming available and the host started seating more AA couples in this area. After seating 5AA couples IN A ROW in the same area of the restaurant, I said if she seats another AA couple in this area, I am out of here. Within 1 minute here come another AA couple. This area is now all AA couples except for two tables of seniors who has been sitting there for awhile. Mean while I asked to speak to the hostess and asked her what’s going on with their seating of AA guest together while seating non AA on the other side of the restaurant. She deny doing this, but I got video to show her seat all AA on the same side of the restaurant.

They have a really good selection of dishes. We really liked the Hidalgo omelette. The service was attentive. Our wait wasn’t too bad. We will definitely be going back.

In Fairness, had I written this review a year or two ago, I would have given this a 4 star rating. However my most recent experience was a 2 star rating, so I’m averaging at a 3. Brigs is a popular spot for breakfast, and normally I’m more than happy to eat here. This last time, however, left me disappointed. I got an egg basket with bacon and a side of fresh fruit. The eggs were just fine, cooked right. The bacon was crisp but very greasy somehow, like they left it sitting in grease. The fresh fruit was where I had my biggest issue, there was some kind of white stuff clinging to my little bunch of grapes, I could not identify it. I showed it to our waitress and she thought maybe it was a spider web, but whatever it was, it didn’t belong on my food. She brought it back to the kitchen and brought me more fruit. Now I know it wasn’t her fault because I’ve waited tables in my time, but she could have at least been a little apologetic. She did the right thing by fixing the problem, but the hardly interested demeanor kind of put me off. Maybe it had been a busy morning and she was tired, but still. I really used to like Brigs a lot, so I’m kind of saddened by this experience, it’s the kind of thing that will really make me hesitate to go back there. It’ll probably be a long time before I try them again.

This is *the* breakfast spot in northwest Raleigh. You can get breakfast there any time that they are open, and they specialize in eggs benedict variations. This is not a high end fancy restaurant. A lot of seniors seem to have called this their home, but the food is good, and maybe those old timers are just in on a good thing. I wouldn’t say that the staff is especially friendly or unfriendly… maybe slightly warmer than«indifferent». But oh my God I love eating here. Definitely check it out.

I attempt to be mindful when I use the term delicious, however, the pancakes were delicious! I will definitely be returning. I had two original pancakes, two eggs and ¾ pieces of bacon. The portions were a nice size and I enjoyed the food overall.

We visit this location early Sunday mornings, and there is never any wait time for us. We have two children and the kids meals are enough to feed a small army for next to nothing. Our food is always cooked to perfection. The art work in side the restaurant is delightful. We love Brigs.

Long wait but worth it — food is delicious. Prices are about normal but a little on the high end. Long wait every weekend be prepared to stand around at least half an hour

I will always be a loyal fan of brigs– i lived in cary and always went to the one there, which was top notch. This location does not have as great service. Our server wasn’t personable and neither was the hostess. We’ve come here closer to dinner time, which is strange because i’m used to the cary brigs closing at 2pm every day. Anyways, because we come later, there’s hardly any other customers there. Yet, the service was still lacking(slow water refills). Food is still great though. Brigs waffles always make me happy. And their chicken and waffle is amazing. Rivals dames and beasleys. If you ever want good breakfast food, come to brigs. It’s such a step up from the other diners and chains.

This place is so cozy and casual! The perfect place to grab brunch with family and friends. I visited Brigs this past weekend with a friend for the first time. This place was packed with people, maybe because it was a Saturday morning? My friend has been here a couple times and said its always this packed in weekends. We were greeted buy a friendly waiter. We ordered the ‘Monaco’ omelette and ‘The Alaskan Salmon’ sandwich. The omelette came with a choice of toast or English muffin, we whose the English muffin. Additionally, it came with homefries– which was cooked a little too soft(I like my potatoes a little al dente). The salmon sandwich was one of the best salmon sandwiches I’ve ever had! Seriously so yummy! Really worth getting if you love seafood! I definitely recommend trying this place! I know I’ll be back very soon to try something else on the menu!

Brigs is my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Raleigh. I get something different each time. The Monte Carlo omelet is one of my favorites, as is their Chesapeake Benedict. I always forget they are open for dinner but I have eaten here for dinner once. It’s reasonably priced and lots of options that please everyone!

Wife and I were exited to get up early Saturday, spend our once a week out meal there, and even without a coupon — strange for us. Boy was my anticipation quickly squelched. I got a 3 egg Country Scrumptious Scrambler. First I admit they did not say they were chicken eggs, they must have been quail eggs judging by the size of the entrée. The English muffen had burnt faces, and I have never seen such small English muffins in a grocery store — must be special order to a restaurant. The fruit option was a 3/16″ thick slice of orange, a tiny thin wedge of pineapple, one cube of melon and a few grapes. My wife’s selection was a little more generous, but considering I had water and the bill with tip was about $ 28, I dont plan to return unless I have a coupon.

The lines are out the door at Briggs. And for good reason. If you want the fluffiest pancakes, eggs and omelettes that are on point, and any breakfast food done right, stand in line at Briggs. They also have lunch food as well but from what I understand, they are best known for their breakfast. On my last visit, I had the fluffy pancakes, a mega delicious 3 egg omelette with veggies, sausage and cheese, and a big glass of milk. To die for. Period. Again this place is super crowded so I put my name in, they ran out of buzzer squares and wondered the strip mall for a half hour(Tuesday Mornings and Dollar Tree kept me company) so be prepared for that. Run don’t walk to Briggs. They hype is indeed true.

Ate here for the first time on 6⁄18 for our wedding anniversary and it was great. The server did make it seem the portions were huge but it was average. The price during weekday is great! Food was great. No complaints. We came back last Sunday and plan to return this week.

I would give it 5 stars but my crab and shrimp Benedict was a little cold. It was Father’s Day and had 1 hr wait tho. BUSY! have had shrimp salad And broccoli salad and they are amazing. Love the food choices. Next time will try the salmon. Wish they had a salmon breakfast dish. It’s great here!

The menu lends itself to some pretty good breakfast options. We decided on lunch. We both ordered burgers, I the«bacon– burger», where they mix bacon with the Angus beef. The burger was good, but I’d prefer the bacon on top, as the flavor was lost. Burgers come with a choice of sides, so the price is a good deal. Nothing exceptional, but nothing bad, either. Just didn’t «set my hair on fire». Good food, reasonable prices. Okay, the wait staff was friendly, but not quite there. Again, a fine meal and a good stop for breakfast or lunch.

Went here for breakfast. Specifically for their eggs benedict. In comparison to other places Benedict I’ve had theirs are about average. Their plates are huge which is a plus for me, especially for breakfast. Service was as expected with college looking servers and a home comfort vibe. In all I enjoyed my visit and may come back for something other than their eggs benedict.

We wanted to go somewhere we had never been for Sunday lunch after church, so we went to Brigs. Seems like we weren’t the only ones with that idea, as there was a 30 minute wait for a table. They have a glassed in waiting area at the doorway with benches as well as some benches outside. I would suggest a few ceiling fans would make that waiting area more comfortable on hotter days. I tried to convince my guest to order the chicken and waffles instead of the chicken tenders but she felt it would be too much food for her. She was pleased with the chicken tenders and the fries that came with them. I ordered the Cattleman’s burger. The barbecue sauce and the melted cheese were a great compliment to the burger patty. Thought the price was reasonable for the meal.
