This is a members-only club… how do I join? LOL Second time here for a conference. Room is big, comfortable, and has appropriate AV equipment, though they need to educate users on mic etiquette and usage. Bathrooms are private but with plenty of stalls. Room has wifi, but I am not using it, and others are saying it’s a bit slow. I do want to note that the three times I’ve pulled up my Droid apps(three different ones), the setting is automatically found as New York… go figure. Food is PHENOMENAL… and service is outstanding. For lunch, a buffet with: Garden salad and 3 dressings(bleu cheese, 1000 island, and balsamic) Pasta salad with a light vinaigrette and NO onions(thank you, thank you… I could actually taste the pasta and veggies in it instead of raw onion… and the pasta was not your typical type, which was nice), Roasted delicious potatoes… did I say delicious?, Sauteed veggies(yellow and orange carrots, red pepper strips and green beans) Chicken with fresh spinach in a cream sauce, and Roasted pork with an onion demi glacé… but nicely cooked onions with a faint onion flavor but not overpowering so I can talk to the person beside me. Cookies for dessert with toll house pie wedges. If I could only find more reasons to come here!

This is a great spot for meetings and small conferences. IMO, it’s better than a hotel because it’s on a golf course near Brier Creek. Other than that, it’s pretty similar to regular venue spaces at hotels. My biggest complaint is that the projection screens are small and hard to see(even if sitting in the front row). Perhaps it’s a lighting issue or a projector issue; either way it’s below average. The food and drinks provided by Brier Creek Country Club are usually satisfactory, and one time the food was pretty spectacular. Oh yeah, and the urinals and toilets have gold-plated plumbing. Impressive!
