Our server PJ was awesome! I was really disappointed with the food though. They ran out of yuca cheese balls, which I was excited to try. So we got the Key West Nachos instead, on the menu it said they came with plantain chips but there wasn’t a plantain chip anywhere on the plate. Ground beef on the nachos was okay but mainly flavorless. Boyfriend enjoyed his burger but the jerk wings he got were not spicy at all and my best friend got the mushroom sandwich, the mojo pork I got was so bland. Not even the slightest taste of lime or any seasoning. Rice was under cooked and I ended up getting the Key Lime Pie for dessert but with the raspberry and mango? sauce it was BEYOND sweet. Way too much. So sad. Definitely not worth $ 90.

My fiancé and i loved every drink that have. it sucks they don’t have a location out in california. you must try their tropical drinks. So good and worth the price. We were seated outside and it was such a lovely scenery. They had a live band playing and a fireplace in the center so it was quiet warm. Perfect for the winter. Im excited to come back for my birthday.(=

Since I was a kid I’ve wondered what this place looked like on the outside, but I never went. Finally, my husband brought me here for a change of scenery, and I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely reminded me of a restaurant in the Bahamas. I think part of coming here for most of the patrons is the atmosphere. It was lively– not a place for a romantic dinner for two. An easy jazz band played in the background. I can dig it. Drinks: Probably the second reason people come to Bahama Breeze. The drinks are large and strong. Good and good. I had the coconut mojito which was pretty tasty, but my husband’s frozen Bahamarita was much more delicious. Food: For a starter, we ordered the beef empanadas which was paired with a sweet chutney. It was delicious and the portions are large for an appetizer. I was almost full after eating two. I was pleased to see some Bahamian classics like conch fritters on the menu. However, I ordered the shrimp linguini. I’m not an expert, but I’m not sure this was a Caribbean dish at all. Haha. Regardless, the portions were huge and it was packed with shrimp. It was delicious. I was excited to have enough leftover for lunch the next day. I’ll definitely be back, but next time it’ll be with a group of friends to share in the drinks and action.

I gave this location 3 stars because our server was excellent. The hostess honestly is not ready to work with people yet. She didn’t have a good attitude and didn’t represent the restaurant very well. The food was ok this time around. We love the bang bang shrimp… That definitely gets 5 stars. The«seafood» chowder felt like a huge rip off. In an entire bowl of soup, I had 2 pieces of shrimp and no other detectable seafood. It was also very watery and had uncooked potatoes in it. I wouldn’t order it again. The Payeia was good. I’ve had better but it was good. Definitely way too skimpy on the rice though. I have to say, this wasn’t my best visit to a Bahama Breeze. I probably won’t come back for an actual meal but maybe for some bang bang shrimp and drinks.

I can’t believe the interaction I just had with the manager of this restaurant, Mike. On a Friday night, I accidentally left my credit card with the waiter. Realizing the mistake, I called the very next morning at 10:30 and spoke with a woman who confirmed that they have my credit card and that I could come pick it up. I wasn’t able to go to the restaurant immediately, but was reassured that if I came in and showed ID that I could get it back. Unfortunately, later that night I received multiple fraud alerts texts from American Express, indicating that my card had been stolen from the restaurant. I call the following morning, and the manager denies knowing any information whatsoever about my lost card, absolutely refusing to acknowledge that a member of his staff even answered the phone when I called(why would I make that up?!). Rather than just owning up to the problem that the card was stolen, acknowledging that security policies were not followed, he continues to interrupt my questions and defensively denies any fault or wrongdoing. Managers are responsible for this. All I wanted was an apology. I will never be coming back. Absolutely terrible.

Went in for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Was able to get seated immediately and had on of my favorite waitresses. I ordered a Chicken Ceasar Salad and the Mr. ordered Jerk Chicken Pasta. The Mr. stated the pasta was the best that he had had in a while and we frequent here a lot. He said the sauce was cooked to perfection not too watery as it had been in the past. The salad was good the only complaint is that they don’t go through the salad thoroughly so they are a lot of stems mixed in with the greens. The chicken was cooked to perfection and had good seasoning. Customer service was great and overall we were pleased.

Amazing salmon, sautéed shrimp, jerk chicken and the yellow rice. We don’t have this place in Texas I wish we did. Will go back to to place.

Love going to this chain. Our server, while busy was very attentive. Had a dish with fried chicken spinach and tomato. It was to be on a bed of mashed potatoes, but I really love their cinnamon sweet potatoes so I substituted that. It was definitely not something I was expecting, as the spinach was actually spinach dip and the tomato was a tomato, corn, black bean relish. And the cheese that was supposed to top it instead of being a mozzarella or something mild was a queso dip cheese. While the dish was good, it would have been much better had the sweet potatoes been on the side instead of beneath the chicken. My mom had grilled chicken with a cilantro crema sauce and she said that was amazing. For a small plate, we have the conch fritters. There was a lot of filler, but the sauce that accompany the conch fritters was amazing and the vegetables in the actual fritter were very good and tender. We ended our meal with key lime pie and though we’re not fans of meringue it was very light and fluffy. As for drinks, my mom got the ultimate piña colada that was to be layered with strawberry ice, instead it came out Brown and did not taste like a piña colada. It tasted okay, just not what she was expecting after reading the description. I had the pain killer which was well blended in typical of a normal pain killer drink

We came here Friday evening for a late dinner. We were expecting to wait a long time to get a table based off reading the other Unilocal reviews… but we were seated immediately! Our waiter, Mario, couldn’t have been more helpful. When I requested a drink, he let me know that it may not have been in my preference so guided me in the right direction. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was one of the best quesadillas I’ve ever had! My girlfriend ordered the coconut shrimp and was extremely happy with it. Long story short– this place is great and Mario was the best!

Food was not even mediocre. We ordered wings and cheese bite for appetizers and ribs for the main dish. None of these items were good, the taste was bland. Also, when we received the wings there was little no meat and the actual wing was still attached, not appetizing at all. Lastly, after our waitress noticed that we hadn’t even started to eat our food, didn’t inquire as to why. We asked for the check and upon the waitress giving us our cash back asked if we wanted to use that cash as her gratuity… like seriously?!

After reading reviews, I expected mediocre food. What I got was nowhere close. It’s not like my expectations were high, but frozen seafood and undercooked chicken(with stringy rubber texture) made for a less than enjoyable experience. To top it off when we recieved the bill, it was wet and the bill folder had mold growing inside it… I know right? It gets worse though, the restaurant was kind enough to throw in a side of food poisoning for all the troubles. Overall overpriced frozen food with unsanitary conditions. Avoid at all costs!

The food was mediocre(I ordered the much talked-about coconut shrimp entrée and was not bowled over by it). Much worse was the service — there was very little said by the way of recommendations; we had to wait to get cutlery after our food arrived, then wait again for condiments when we asked for them midway. Towards the end of the meal, we asked to be seated inside since it was a warm night and it was getting very humid on the patio, but were told that we would have to see the host, since it was a busy night. When we did that, the host told us that there was a waiting of 10 – 15 minutes to get a table. There was no one(not even one person) waiting to be seated, and quite a few empty tables right in front of us without a «reserved» sign on them. It was clear they were not going to offer us a table anytime soon, so we offered to pay and leave, but they said the machines were down so we would have to wait, offering us no place to sit in the meanwhile(the bar was full). I have never felt more unwelcome anywhere as a paying customer. Will never ever go back again.

The service was HORRIBLE… the waitress took exactly 17 minutes to greet us AFTER we were initially seated. Additionally, it took longer to receive our orders. My daughter ordered soup and a Cesar salad. I ordered fish tacos… see not a terribly difficult order. ’ To make matters worse, this was a leisurely Sunday afternoon… it was not busy and we still received sub par service.

Our waitress last night was great. We both got the grilled chicken with cilantro sauce and it was amazing. The corn and mashed potato was great too! Wish they had more than one in NC

Food here is very mediocre which means that the quality of food is just okay(in simple plain English). When I explained this to the bar tender he just started at me. If you wanted an awesome answer don’t ask a stupid question! He could tell that the food was gross and even stated that it wasn’t his favorite or what he would have ordered, oh okay thanks now all I thought about was getting food poisoning while I was on travel for work. I ordered various happy hour appetizers and none of them were even close to being yummy. The food was soggy-like, not firm and didn’t taste fresh. The worst part of this experience was the drink I ordered. I would have thought that it was harder to mess up the food than a drink from the actual bartender. It was chalky and consisted of what tasted like a whole can of coconut cream. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone nor will I ever visit another one. If I knew this was a chain restaurant before heading in I wouldn’t have selected it. If your in the area your best bet is to just go to Trader Joe’s!!! Wish I would have.

This wasn’t my first experience at Bahamas breeze but my sister and I enjoyed the half priced appetizers for happy hour. I didn’t know they even had this but she is a frequent patron and loves coming here after work. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, spinach dip, jerk wings, and the beef empanadas. Everything was delicious except for the wings. They were served undercooked and we sent them back. When they brought them back the wings were overcooked and dry. I guess we should’ve just ordered something else. The service was quick and the server was extremely nice. I would definitely come back here for the happy hour special but I’m not ordering the wings again.

My party of three came in at 9:20pm and was told to hold on a second while they found us a table. They didn’t give us a time estimate & then after about 10 minutes we were sat. Our waiter brought us drinks and then asked if we were ready to order. We told him we just needed a minute to look over the menu and he looked at his watch, sighed, and told us we had 10 minutes before the kitchen & bar would close for orders. So we quickly picked out what we wanted but he didnt come back until about 9:55pm to take our order! We felt really bad having to put in our orders so late but he hadn’t passed by our table at all. When we did order though, our food came out fairly quickly. The firecracker shrimp was delicious and everything else that was ordered was pretty good too. The waiter made a mistake with one of my side dishes but he apologized for it. By the end of the evening, our waiter tried a lot harder than he had at first. Maybe he had been stressed out or having a bad day? Overall, while the appetizer was excellent the main courses were okay. Service was off and the hosts were not very friendly. If I come back hopefully it will be a better experience!

I’ve been to Bahama Breeze once before when it was still brand new in Raleigh years ago and didn’t come back until now. All I can say is, wow I’ve been missing out for years! We got there around 5:50PM on a Friday and were seated immediately. Even though their half-priced appetizer special ends at 6PM, our waitress graciously allowed us to get those prices. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Beef Empanadas. Both dishes were perfect! The shrimp were crispy and flavorful while the beef empanadas had the most delicious chutney sauce paired with it. We were stuffed already on appetizers but still ordered entrees. I got the Seafood Paella and they do not skimp on the seafood or the portion size. When we asked for to-go boxes, it barely looked like I had eaten anything! We ordered a few drinks at the bar too and those were great as well. The only disappointment was that service was slow and our waitress never once made eye contact with me. Whenever she came to our table she always spoke to my friend which we both found odd.

This place has the best happy hour specials. It’s perfect for young(and old) people on a tight budget! Bahama Breeze offers half-priced appetizers from 4 – 6PM and then again from 9 pm to close. And these aren’t small appetizers, they can be eaten as a meal. It may not be a fine-dining experience, but the food hits the spot, the bill doesn’t break the bank, and the servers(especially the girl with short hair) are very friendly. If I lived in Raleigh, I doubt I’d be a regular here, but once in a while, it would be fun to meet up with friends and enjoy some cheap eats and a pint.

I was here on Sunday for an early dinner with my grandma. I have only ever been to a Bahama Breeze one other time(in Florida), and I didn’t recall being too impressed by the experience. But my grandma loves this place, so I was ok with giving it another try. And after a week of slogging through the un-Carolinalike cold, snow, and ice, I wasn’t going to complain about anything that felt even vaguely tropical. All in all, we had a really nice meal. We had to wait about ten minutes for a table, but once we were seated, the service was excellent. Our waitress(Britt) did a great job of coming around and checking on us often, and was super friendly. I had a cuban sandwich with a side Cesar salad, and both were good. My grandma got the coconut shrimp and seafood chowder. No complaints whatsoever about the food. The only thing was, as some other reviewers have noted, the noise level. For some reason, the music was really, really loud. Which makes everyone else talk really loud to compensate. Which results in it being really difficult to carry on a conversation with anyone, much less an older person who has difficulty hearing as it is. They had a live guitar player performing some tropical tunes over by the bar, which was piped over the main sound system. It wasn’t bad music, but really needed to be taken down a few notches. Anyway, I’m still not a fan of chain restaurants in general, but out of the ones in the area this is probably one of the more solid choices.
