A Plus Nail Spa

I had a gel manicure done here a while ago, very relaxing! I even walked in less than an hour before they were closing and asked if they were still taking people, and they welcomed me in! Good experience getting my nails done, and for $ 25+tip they lasted for 3 solid weeks! The only thing that could have made it better was the quality of the gel manicure– while it was applied away from my cuticles, in some areas it still reached my skin on the side of the nail, which lead to the peeling away of the gel about 2 weeks later. I would definitely go again– as that is a super common problem with gel, but it wasn’t a 100% experience for me! Maybe better next time!

I have gone here off and on for over a year and I am not going to go any more. The people that work there are not nice! They act like they are doing you a favor instead of you paying for the service. They also will do what they think you want instead of listening to what you really want. They try to up sell you on things you don’t need. For example– I went in and had my nails and toes done and the rude last who did it asked me if I wanted gel nails (an additional charge) and I said, ok. I didn’t realize they had the same color? Well, it wasn’t the same color. One was orangeish and one was pink! When I said something she offered to change the color, but I didn’t have time to sit there for another 30 minutes while she did that! Then I went in one time to get a sheer pink color with gold glitter on top and the foot lady said, we don’t do that and acted pissed that I even asked. Then she told me she would get the color and picked out an antique gold and put glitter on top. I had grandma toes! It was so ugly and then when I asked if I could get my nails done with the sheer she quickly scurried off and said I had to ask manicurist. So I just left because I did not want grandma nails to match my hideous grandma toes. Every time you ask something they get huffy and pissed. I feel like I have to be quiet the whole time I am there because I might make someone mad. I am a laid back easy going person and not much bothers me, but this place is just bad. The customer service is HORRIBLE. I noticed this last time I was there that there weren’t as many clients as usual. I am sure other people are tired of being treated like crap too.

I just logged on to this website to check on the address for this salon so that I could refer a friend who recently moved to Fuquay. I was shocked to see Rita J’s review, although I realize it was written two years ago. Hopefully she has given them a second chance. I have been going to A+ since I moved here from NY almost 6 years ago, and I LOVE this place. I always use Susan, who is the owner, and have never had a bad experience.
Perhaps Rita J was just looking for a freebie …

Great job consistently. My nail polish always last a long time after a pedicure, which I love. They have many returning customers and they really get to know them well. I have been a customer for many years. If you want a great mani/​pedi in the area, then try out A+ nails.

Absolutely love this salon! Couldn’t ask for better service. They’re the only ones I trusted to do my nails for my wedding & they came out perfect! I also have a problem with in grown toenails and I go to them instead of a podiatrist to correct them because not only do they do a better job, but they actually look better and it hurts less! If you’re looking for a new nail salon I would highly recommend!

They might call themselves A Plus but if the mother of the owners starts toward you to do your nails, run, do not walk out of the salon! I get my nails done regularly at Lee Spa Nails in Holly Springs but needed a gel manicure near my work. My mistake. I knew something was wrong when she took out a drill to take off soak off polish. Now, thanks to mom, I have an indention line around each of my nails and can’t wear French again until her goof grows out. Plus she painted over my cuticles instead of taking care of them first. The owners do great work but mom needs to just run the register.

Love the service and quality here. Casey, Mai, Tae everyone is great I do not feel like I have to choose they all do a fabulous job !
