LOVE Solus! Sean is my stylist and I have never received so many compliments on a haircut! Never fails :) It’s a very busy salon so I highly recommend booking an appointment in advance. When you find a good hairdresser you hold on tight!

My hair stylist is Sean and hands down, he knows what to do! He takes his time to cut and shape my hair and the best part, he’s patient! I highly reccommend this place to everyone.
I have very fine asian hair and Sean always knows how to make it look full and stylish. I’ve been to everywhere in Boston and finally, I found him! Sean usually has a busy schedule, so I would book in advance to get a hair cut with him.

I have been going to Mel since I was a freshman in High School and I am now about to graduate college. She is simply AMAZING. She has done everything from updo’s to cuts to blowouts for me and I have been beyond thrilled with every single one of them. She always listens to what I want and while she is working on you she lets you know what shes doing and the end results are always fabulous. Solus is very clean and all of the staff are wonderful. I have never had a problem getting an appointment, they are always able to fit me in that week!

Three haircuts later, I’m still a fan of Mel, and it’s still too hard to make an appointment! Once, when no one answered, I left a voicemail and didn’t even get a call back. Another time, Solus called me to «confirm» my appointment, for a different time than the one I had scheduled. I’ve been happy with the results every time, but be prepared to be a little persistent!

Got a referral here from a coworker and I’m so happy I did. I called today and they had a spot for me with Sean who did a great job with my completely overgrown head. Thanks Sean! Nice setting, good parking options, and the staff are friendly.
Only con was that I was this: I had figured any decent stylist around here would be in the $ 50 range but saw a price listing on line at their website which was lower so I went in with less cash than I should have. :(It was a fully reasonable price — less than I’d pay for a consultation, cut, and style so I still highly recommend Solus. It was just kind of embarrassing to not have the right $ on me for the service and tips. I’ll have to tip extra next time!

I love this place! It is very classy and right by the Quincy Center t stop. First they give you a smock to put on before you get here. Plus they have the greatest prices in Quincy and do a great job! Plus everyone is really friendly there!

Solus is a salon that you would expect to find on Newbury st. or Beverly Hills as far as the service, the staff, and the quality of the color and styles that you get. I was 14 years old and had been going to my hairdresser for 25 years before he up and moved on me, and finding someone new that I could have that level of trust and quality from took me a while. But then I met Sean Hayes and his staff, and once again, I found my bliss. My husband even said he thought my hair looked the best it had ever been and he loved my cut and color. And the receptionist at the desk, Jun, really does the best hair wash ever!!! And the prices are so reasonable.10 Stars would be more applicable for this salon.
