This place is awesome. They were able to tailor my suit jacket, repair a rip in the pants, clean and press the entire suit in 48 hours. All for a reasonable price! The customer service was awesome. They promised to call me with a follow-up at a certain time and followed through. Couldn’t ask for a better place!

Dealing with Danny’s was a huge hassle. Just to be clear, this review is only is for their bridal services. I dropped off the dress and was told it could take 6 weeks to clean. They tried to get me to do a cleaning and preservation, for $ 250. I opted for just the cleaning. 8 weeks later, no word. I call and they have no idea if the dress is in their shop, since their computer system doesn’t handle bridal(huh?). Instead, I am told to call the person who cleans bridal dresses. I call and find out dress has been indeed sent out. Now I call the shop back. They’re able to locate the dress. Go to pick it up, and Clerk tries to charge me $ 230 for cleaning. Hmmm… my dress was pre-cleaned here $ 75, I’m thinking I got charged for the preservation, which I didn’t get. We go back and forth, and the new charge is $ 125. Fair enough. Until I find a discoloration on the front. The clerk sees it too, and tells me to take it to the Braintree branch. I drive across Quincy down to Braintree, and I’m able to persuade the manager to clean it that afternoon(truly grateful to them for that, since I moved about an hour away in the 8 intervening weeks). Danny’s might be more reliable when it comes to regular wear, but I wouldn’t recommend their bridal services after this experience. Weddings are stressful enough without these shenanigans. That said, they did a good job, and it is challenging to find a place that does bridal in-house, so it may be worth looking into.

Danny’s did a great job on my dry cleaning. They removed the stain from my white cashmere dress and had all 4 pieces the next day. The ladies behind the counter were super nice. However, I cannot sing as many praises for their tailor and the service that accompanied it. My bf took 3 pairs of new pants to Danny’s to be hemmed. They took about a week and cost about $ 20 too much. When he went to pick up the pants, the hems looked awful. They didn’t use the proper colored thread on one pair and did not cuff the remaining 2, as he had asked. Thank goodness the tailor did not throw away the extra fabric that was cut away. When he expressed that he was unhappy with their work, they still charged him for the tailoring, insisted that it was fine and then took another week to finish 2 pairs of pants. As dry cleaners, they’re totally fine, but I will never take any of my clothes to Danny’s to have them tailored. EVER.

Danny’s is awesome. I don’t know if the store is locally/family owned, but it’s always the same two Brazilian ladies behind the counter and they’re always super nice. It’s never a hassle when I forget my ticket, everything is computer driven… So I went in the other day with a handful of shirts and asked how much it would be to resew a button… she said she’d do it for free. Needed the shirts for Monday, it was Friday… she rushed it for Saturday PM so they would be there first thing Monday for sure… I had to pay $ 0.00 extra for that, too. I guess they do cleaning, some tailoring, and they offer drop-box, as well. Compare and contrast: I walked past Danny’s and went into Dependable Cleaners once when I first moved here because I had a coupon. A $ 35 cleaning charge for a blanket, but at pickup they first refused to honor my $ 10 coupon because supposedly I was required to present it at pickup, not drop-off.
