I wanted to enjoy a warm meal out with my sister, nephew and my own two kids. The wait staff were friendly. They pushed tables together for our larger group. We placed our order and continued our visit. Mine and my son’s salads came out and his had a very Long string or hair in it. It closely resembled the scarf my waitress was wearing. Thumbs down. A few minutes went by and our main courses came out. The chips on the nachos seemed very DONE, but flavorful. My sandwich was spicey, but bland and the chicken had been cooked Well done. So much so, it was tough. My sister also stated her hamburger was very bland. «The best part was the bacon.» I felt the buns on our burgers had decent texture. Over all, I felt like I was missing out on what could have been a much nicer meal. «It’s just fillin.» To quote a friend. One more thing, I used the restroom. Totally disgusting! Black fingerprints on the door know and 18 inches around it. Sticky floor too and from. quite displeasing. Makes me wonder what the actual kitchen looks like. … maybe that’s why I haven’t eaten there in 15 plus years. …

BIPOLARWAITRESSALERT! Holy smokes, tall CREEPY brunette waitress with serious people problems!!! Incredibly rude and loud. Asked her a simple question and she FREAKED!!! Gotta be an owner since i can not seem to fathom she can still be employed after reading previous comments. Scarier than the chick in Misery. Will never come back and step on the gas pedal every time we drive by.

In town for work and stop by for breakfast. Had scramble eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Everything was very good. Generous portions. Asked for cheese on the scramble eggs and extra crispy on the hash browns. Perfectly done. Coffee– French roast was just okay. Service was good, a little slow after the food arrived for coffee refill and the check.

In town for work during a hot and busy music festival weekend. Attempting to order breakfast, ~0745am, and enjoy a quiet morning before the work day. Lead waitress(?), almost tall, skinny, was obnoxious, loud, and rude during my entire time there. She did not«have the time as she was really busy» for me as I attempted to place an order of other than menu direct. Ordered direct anyway, her recommendation. Place 2⁄3 full. Only three at the counter. «She», during my time there, continued to shout across the café, carrying on loud conversations with«great importance», to arriving locals and fellow workers, all the while speedily moving about the café as if she had another grand purpose other than guests. The assisting young waitresses filled in where«she» left off, with courteous coffee refills, bussing and gentle cordial hospitality chat. The ONLY positive. Breakfast: overdone /flat blackened almost hash browns, lazy scram eggs, no garnish, bacon not fresh from the grill but(microwave /oven) brittle planks, cup of gravy as thick and lukewarm and gelled as pudding left out overnight. Perhaps if I was a local, and not during a «hot and busy musical festival weekend», I would not have left a tip, but instead just walked out. «She» needs help. Grill needs help.

STAYAWAY! HORRIBLESERVICE! I have gone here in the past a few times when I was in town. The food was always ok and the service to match. However, a waitress that is currently there is a loose cannon. Apparently the customer is not always right in this café. The cream was off and we asked for new coffee and cream. She stated to my husband that the cream was frozen every night and it was not off. Can creamer be left out all day, frozen at night, and thawed the next day according to the health department? If they do this with the cream you have to wonder about the rest of the food practices. Then she started screaming at the top of her lungs when I asked her to smell it. You could see the cream curdled on top of the coffee. All we wanted(party of 4) was fresh coffee and cream. This seamed to be a problem for her to accomplish. She was screaming for us to get out and we did. I have a PhD in clinical psychology and I will tell you I will not go there again if this waitress is still there. She has some serious control issues. If my staff treated customers like this they would be gone fast. Let’s hope the owner will take action. We left and went to Morning Thunder were the food and service were excellent. P.S. Read the reviews that are hidden. Sounds like this waitress learned her bad behavior from the owner!

Today was my first ever trip to Quincy. Was hungry and saw the Courthouse Café. Was greeted by friendly staff who promptly took my order and brought the completed product. I chose the tuna sandwich with toasted sour dough… it was fantabulous! A little messy but nothing extra napkins deal with. The french fries were awesome and so fresh. All the staff members of this neat little breakfast and lunch items café were phenomenal. I cannot wait to go back! The patty melt looked great and I see that thick bacon was added; looked awesomely tasty! Many patrons were eating breakfast and I’ll admit the cinnamon roll french toast sounded good too but I was interested in lunch. Kudos for a 5 start joint, fab food and cool and high customer service staff!

We walked here from our hotel. Delightful café with low key vibe. Felt like wandering down to the kitchen table at home. Highly recommend the Courthouse Sandwich. Aloha

My friend took me here for lunch when I went to Quincy to visit her for a couple days. The staff was very friendly and let me tell you… I had a chocolate shake that was so damn amazing, I can honestly say, as a health nut, I did not have one hint of guilt for drinking it! The food was delicious as well. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d go again.

Stopped here on way to Graeagle(for a gorgeous hike) after a night of camping at Deer Creek. We split the veggie omelette and neither one of us could finish the toast nor the hash browns. Generous portions. It was delicious, full of spinach, mushrooms, zucchini. Tasty! And atmosphere is really nice, full of locals, nice service.

Great regular breakfast/lunch food, nice staff, quite good prices(I mean they didn’t get the memo about jacking up the prices from the ‘90s). Full plate of French toast $ 6.25. Great value here for the kind of stuff Denny’s is now charging an arm and leg for.

Delicious little place to get food while in Quincy. Most times one of the only places open! I usually go for the Courthouse Club with a giant mocha! Owners always deliver great service. Perfect little small town café!

This is a great place to come for breakfast if you’re looking for a place with excellent service, and heaps and heaps of «slightly better than Denny’s» quality food at a great price. The atmosphere is your typical old-fashioned diner. Our server was a little overly enthusiastic, but that was certainly OK — much better than a grouchy server who isn’t a morning person. I couldn’t drink my coffee fast enough before it was refilled again throughout our meal. I ordered an omelette, and it was large with lots of potatoes on the side. I recommend the biscuit as a side — they are large and very good. The quality of the food, like I said, was your typical cheap diner food, but it was well-prepared and tasted great. If you just want to fill up on good food while you stare blankly at your coffee cup and wake up in the morning, this is the place to do it.

the boss must have been gone for the day, me and some friends came here for breakfast only to find that our plates had been mixed up not by order but also by the food on the plate!, so after sorting that out we discovered that the food was just warm if not cool! we mentioned this to the server only to get the«I am sorry» and she walked off! really? I have been here before but this really took the cake. I will say the omelette I had was good but it would have been better hot! a note to the chef. when someone orders a biscut and gravy plate, please make sure that the biscuit passes the softness test, the one we got was a potential weapon! it would have broken a window!

Courthouse café is a nice little place right downtown in Quincy. The food is pretty good and so is the service. Parking is not the easiest some days, others its a breeze. The fries are good when you order gravy on the side!

I had the best chili omelette of my life here. No kidding. The food was great, the coffee was very good, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. It’s an old-fashioned independent no-nonsense, small town Main Street diner just the way you want a diner to be. Their motto is, «We do food justice.» My verdict? Don’t miss it.

Veggie sandwich with a cup of soup. Soups are made in house which is a delight! Veggie sandwich had assorted grilled veggies on wheat bread that was buttered and grilled. It was a bit excessively buttered, but oh so dogdarnit good… made me wonder if I could live life without meat… nah~~~ hahaha. $ 7.95+tax.

If highway 80 is closed(silly snow) and you’ve gotta get back to the bay area, Highway 70 is the way to go. It’s a 1.5 hour detour but it’ll bring you home. From Truckee, go north on 89 and connect to 70. This route brings your past this quaint little town of Qunicy and if your hungry there are several places to visit. A skiier friend of mine and i ate here, it’s one of his favorite spots in the area. It’s a small diner of sorts with lots of tasty different american dishes some with a latin twist. i had a tasty taco salad with chicken and it was yummy! You’ll feel safe here at the courthouse café, since your across the street from the Plumas County Courthouse and with that comes the local fuzz. After that a gentle ride across the bridges of Plumas county, following the feather river, and popping out south of Chico near Oroville, CA. Feather River Delay — 1.5hours Taco Salad with Chicken — 10 $ Getting home when highway 80 is closed — priceless
