These people are scam artists. I called to get a quote on an area rug and provided all the detail on size and type of rug so that an accurate estimate can be given. At the time when the rug was picked up, the guy doubled the price that was originally quoted indicating that my rug needs a deep cleaning and if I go with the lesser quoted price, the process will not thoroughly clean the rug. WHAT? Why the heck would I want to pay someone to not thoroughly clean the rug if I’m looking for a cleaning? Stay away from these scam artists!

This carpet cleaning place did pretty much everything wrong with cleaning a rug of ours. The first thing that happened was the classic bait-and-switch tactic. The two young salesmen who came to pick up the rug called back the following day and promptly doubled the cost of the cleanup because they«didn’t notice the rug was a silk rug». Yea, right. Finally when the rug was cleaned and it was time to schedule delivery, the first scheduled delivery didn’t happen, because apparently the weather was too bad. Imagine that, it rains in New York City occasionally. The fine young gentlemen apparently also forgot to call us about not coming when they were scheduled to come over. Give me a break. They just didn’t bother, because apparently picking up the phone and calling to cancel would’ve been way too much work. So another delivery time was scheduled. They showed up two and a half hours late. Apparently we had scheduled the delivery at 8pm rather than between 4pm and 6pm like we thought. Sure. And the best part. The several hundred dollar super special silk rug cleanup didn’t do jack shit to clean up the rug. The stain is still on the rug. I suppose the company does manage to clean some kinds of rugs fairly well since they’re still in business, but for our silk rug all they did was rip us off for $ 500 or so. Avoid these scamsters at all cost.
