Not a fan of this place. 27 $ before tip and My burger was burnt, and the service was just okay. I felt like maybe because I was a woman? Just in case the service professionals see this– I used to be a waitress. You should treat every one the same. My visit was a little over a week ago. I’m giving 2 stars for good selection of drinks and a legit environment to be in.

Standing room only, so you KNOW this place is legit! At first, I was reluctant to find a seat, considering all of the«passing» strangers. The bartender prepared me a seat at the bar and made me feel at home. When placing my order, i couldn’t decide on which drink that I wanted. Listed on the menu was a variety of tasty cocktails, in which I couldn’t decide. The bartender asked«do you trust me?» Being that I did not know this man from jack squat, of course I didn’t. But… He surprised me with this tasty concoction! It was absolutely DELISH!

Mean bartenders. Inaccurate menus. Bad taps. Oh and it’s a sports bar that won’t update the TVs on Sunday to show a game vs. thanks for watching DirecTV screen. Airports have low expectations. This place falls below those.

Calamari was good, fish tacos were good, beer was great. Glad i came here to grab a bit before my flight, it’s a small place but it did the job. Our waitress helped us out by telling us not to order the flatbread because she didn’t think it was good, and no one really likes it, so we ordered the fish tacos instead and it was DELICIOUS. the cilantro sauce it comes with is sooooo good, and it’s also good the dip your calamari in as well.

Five stars for the best service I’ve ever received at an airport bar(and perhaps any bar). Ace is the master of cocktails and beers, and can anticipate when someone needs an appetizer like nobody’s business. He made our long layover fly by(pun totally intended).

I had a 4 hour layover from Ireland so stopped in here to have a drink, have a light lunch. I figured since it’s a sports bar, it should be decent right? Only good thing about this place is it has tvs. Came in around 11:30a and they weren’t serving food until 1145a. Ok whatever. I have time so I grabbed a drink on the menu… A Hendricks drink with basil. They have no basil so will mint do? Yea whatever… And a water please. Bartender asked if I wanted to order food. Yes, what’s the soup of the day? She didn’t know because kitchen wasn’t open yet. Ok then I’ll just order an original Caesar salad with shrimp. And a water please. A guy sits next to me and orders a beer and water. He gets the beer. No water. So… He asks for water and I asked for it twice — neither of us got water. This place must hate giving out water. We never got our water and I just got tired of asking. Bartender comes to me at 1150 and says kitchen won’t open until 12p. That’s fine. 12:22 and a couple sits next to me. They order food and another waitress says it may take a while to get the food. I turn to them and I say that they’ve been pushing out the time of when the kitchen opens. They mention they heard the chef didn’t show up yet. About 5 minutes after that, I get my salad. Everything’s good but all it is is a bed of greens with shrimp and parmesean cheese. No dressing. Again, whatever… I guess I should be happy they saved me from consuming more calories. Shitty experience thus far so I just let it go and chalk it up to a really bad place to go so… Be forewarned.

It’s always polite when the waiter pretends to listen to your order, this guy could not have cared less. Food ordered the way you like it? Not here. Then the food comes wheeled in on a cart with aluminum lids like you see in hotels when you order room service. Not really sure where it comes from. Good beer selection, although very pricy, and place to watch tv.

I recently had a layover in Terminal 8 and wanted to grab a beer to pass the time. I ended up at this NYSB and managed to grab a stool at the bar. Plenty of TVs showing sports, and the staff were friendly enough. Despite the many taps on display, when I asked what IPA options they had available the barkeep said Goose Island IPA was currently the only one. So I had a pint of that. It was tasty, but seriously $ 12 plus tip for a domestic draft? There are plenty of other options in Terminal 8, and I feel NYSB is below average for an airport bar. So next time I’ll see what else is available.

I had the sweetest most attentive bartender here. Seriously. I don’t remember his name but I will because he deserves ALLTHESTARS.
