The service is atrociously slow. Like, painfully and ridiculously slow. There was a huge line and it wasn’t really due to popularity, but more to the fact that it felt like it took the workers 10 minutes or more to serve each guest. Standard bagels and a limited assortment of cream cheeses. Plain, scallion, veggie and lox only, and unfortunately no lite cream cheese options :( You also cannot order any add-ons with the cashier, so order everything at the counter or you will be SOL. The bagels ARE good though, no doubt, but I just really have little patience for slow service and places that are cash only.

I could have sworn I already reviewed this place but for some reason I dont see it so here we go again. The deli meat is good and they have Boarshead which is a plus but the sandwiches and bagels are all over priced but fresh. The line is long whenever I come here and it really doesnt matter what time it is. They do have a good selection of drinks. Eventhough its the closest bagel place to me I’d rather make the effort to go a little further to Bagel Oasis because they never disappoint! This place has been around for a long time and has pretty much remained the same throughout the years aside from the prices steadily rising. They close way earlier than some of the other delis in the area so I’d imagine they lose business because of it and instead take it out on the regular customers with charging more.

Wow. The death of the local bagel store. 2.25 for a bagel with cream cheese. I think the last price was 1.80. It’s just so upsetting… to think I grew up with this place and they are just getting so greedy. And see my pic… they barely put any cream cheese on it. Ugh this place… what a travesty.

I always come to get bagels here. There bagels are pretty good but I don’t know what happened to the sandwiches. I was craving a hero sandwich and when I got home I couldn’t believe how flimsy the sandwhich was. It was $ 7.40 for ham & cheese sandwich and there was hardly any meat on it. All you taste is bread. What happened!!! Soooo disappointed. I think I’ll be getting my sandwiches from the supermarket in the shopping center from now on.

I’ve been going to this bagel shop for twenty something years. The bagels are always awesome. The place itself I really don’t like. I really can’t stand the cashier. She is not pleasant. The guys are ok, but they don’t have enough help and sometimes there’s a long wait.

I just checked in and now I am checking out. I grew up in Electchester, and so I have been coming to Bagels Plus since the late 80’s. In all that time this place, and the neighborhood has gone from bad to worse. The bagels are still as good as they ever were. Crispy, crunchy crust with a soft and chewy interior. And if you get them in the early hours there is a very good chance they will still be hot. That aside, the store is terrible. The cashier is quite possibly the angriest little woman I’ve ever met. She talks out loud all day complaining about John the owner, her coworkers, the customers, her children… On and on and on. There have been minor updates to the store as time has gone on, but new sign holders and some fake ivy does little to hide dusty old fans on top of coolers, unused equipment sitting in plain view, and signs written in marker, misspelled on printer paper make the place even more tacky and outdated. Come in during off hours, not peak times and you get your food fairly quickly. Come during breakfast or lunch hours and you will wait. Sometimes you will wait twenty minutes or more just to order a plain bagel with cream cheese. It is short staffed and so if people order breakfast sandwiches, then a staff member has to go in back to make them. And so then the line builds as you wait for them to return. If two people in a row order sandwiches and only two people are working then who is taking orders while the customers wait and the line builds? No one! Go to Bagel Oasis if you live in the area. It’s close by, it’s hard to find parking, but the bagels are good and the line moves.

Family run. The same woman is always at the register, and she’s always chatting up the customers. The bagels are on point. The egg sandwiches are good with lots of choices. The only thing I would change is the crispness of the bacon… I like mine crunchy, but I guess it’s not for everyone!

After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I go pay the lady at the counter the one with an attitude. I get home to enjoy my plain bagel with cream cheese and jelly and what do I find? A bagel that is so burnt it looked like the tire on my car, no jelly. The best $ 2.10 I ever spent, it’s safe to say I will not be returning.

This bagel shop is pretty much it for this area, which is apparent when you go in wanting to order your bagel and schmear then sit down to eat it, only to find that there are no seats available unless you sit with a complete stranger. I personally do not like to do that however if you are ever curious about life after 60 come here to hear some war stories of the Senior Citizens, especially on a weekday morning. Fantastic bagels, so-so coffee though, depending on how fresh it is. Rather go to the local deli and bring it home instead…

Absolutely the best bagels I’ve ever had, especially when they’re browned a bit more. The people behind the counter put up with a lot, and manage to do it with a smile.

Really, really good bagels. Always fresh, definitely hand rolled. They work through the line that forms really quickly and are always polite and have never been out of a flavor that I wanted while I was there. They do only take cash, but the prices are low and the bagels are delicious. I can’t speak to the other deli items other than the wide selection.

Amazing bagels, coffee and sandwiches. There are three reasons for only giving this place 4 stars: First their hours suck. They open too late and close too early. It seams to me like they are never open. Two no delivery. Suck. Lastly, they don’t take credit cards. For god’s sake it is 2012 who doesn’t take credit cards these days. All in all it may be the best food in the neighborhood but make sure to get their in the middle of the day.

Their Bagels are really good(especially in the morning when the Batch is freshest!) Sandwiches are good too. They Sell Boars Head. My favorite is there Bowtie pasta salad with Chicken. Reallly good!
