Adam, the owner and bartender made us some delish cocktails. He and the staff were super friendly and inviting. My boyfriend loved his escargot. We both got the lobster and shrimp risotto that was outta this world. Great vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. We’d both highly recommend.

The restaurant is not cheap and the bar selection is very limited in comparison to Simon Pearce which is right next door. For dinner, I would recommend you eat and drink at Simon Pearce because it is about the same price for a more memorable experience and a larger selection. The food at Parker Inn is OK just not as good in comparison… however, it is a bit more private, whereas Simon Pearce does get noisy.

I don’t write reviews but felt compelled to after last night. My husband and I rarely get to go out because we have three children. We wanted a nice dinner and I will say the food was delicious. The service was horrible. Unless you were a table of four or more they could’ve cared less. They sat us in a corner table and we felt forgotten. They never brought us bread they had offered. I asked for a glass of wine and they forgot several times and then when I mentioned it they made excuses of how busy it was when there were only three other tables. We asked for our bill and they charged us $ 93 for a glass of house wine and two tap beers. This was absurd and no apologies were ever offered. It’s such a shame that our much deserved night out was such as this. Won’t be going back for sure

I had the pleasure of going to Parker House for dinner recently. Everything about the experience was superb: the food, service, and ambience was lovely. Both owners made a point of stopping to make sure our experience was good. We were seated by the fire and ate our way happily through mushroom and blue cheese tart, duck confit, and a special of scallops over buttery toasted orzo. My hubby commented that the grape reduction that accompanied his duck was the best he ever had and his duck was cooked perfectly. The olives and bread prior to our meal were a nice touch. Our waitress has been at Parker House for going on 10 years, so that speaks well to how she is treated. As for atmosphere, the inn had a nice cozy feel to it; we both commented that we’d be happy to stay at the inn, too. Check the restaurant out-the food and experience are good ones and a nice break from Simon Pearce.

The food was excellent but the service left much to be desired. I felt like because we didn’t order drinks or appetizers we were second class citizens. We asked for lemon three times before we got it and the waiter was not attentive.

We stayed the night at the Parker House Inn, spent time at the bar, and ate a wonderful dinner. The hospitality, service, quality of the food was stupendous. As a visitor from California, this restaurant and inn is head and shoulders above a lot of places we’ve been to from one coast to the other. Thank you for such a great experience. …we will be back. Food was great, service was okay. The smoked seafood board is really good, but only serves two — not a whole table. I got the crispy duck with blueberry compote and risotto — absolutely delicious. My sister had the seafood risotto and loved that as well. The salmon was also a hit at the table. The downside was that it was really hot that day, and the window unit air conditioner couldn’t really keep up, and the waitress seemed to forget about us for long stretches of time so the heat got bothersome. I would go back though, especially during ski season. Most of the dishes have mashed potato as the side which is not my favorite, but I think they sub in other items pretty willingly.

I’ve been going to Parker House for so long that I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. Parker House has long been my family’s go-to restaurant in the Woodstock/Quechee area because it is so excellent. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere(and view) is perfect year round. Adam and the staff are also lovely so the service is always great as well.

Quint inn, table overlooking river. Service was good, Fixed price menu at $ 70 pp was a rip off, more than individual items on regular menu. Food was good but not worth the price, it should have blown my socks off.

Absolutely fantastic. Every course was superb. Can’t believe I have lived here over a year and didn’t try it until now! Really liked the owner and the waiter as well!

Stumbled in after once again getting blown off by Simon Pearce. Adam was very accommodating and the place oozes with charm. Menu is simple and good with the drinks very appealing, but we had a long drive after, so maybe next time. Definitely worth stopping in and enjoying good hospitality.

Stayed here with my husband and our dog. Absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Norwich room, which was adorable and modern. Our dog loved lounging on the ottomans by the big windows. Dinner was exquisite! We ended up dining there both nights as we didn’t want to go anywhere else. This is a local gem and I highly recommend either dinner or a weekend getaway to the Parker House Inn!

I give 5 stars to The Parker House Inn without reservation(pun intended). I went to The Parker House Inn for dinner. I was welcomed at the door and, even though it was very busy, I was made to feel welcomed right away. The service was great without being overbearing. I like it when service providers monitor my needs from afar and fill my water glass before I even notice it’s low. I knew my server was paying attention when she came to ask me how everything was AFTER I’d finished chewing the fork full of food in my mouth! Such a simple thing to do but few are so aware. The food was delicious. The owner-chef came out to talk with me and the conversation was engaging and interesting. It made me feel special and I look forward to going back again soon.

Stopped in for a drink and app before heading next door to the glass blowers for dinner and we never left! The super friendly bar tender(and owner… also married to the chef) created amazing bevvvies while we lanced over the menu and got a full dinner. Super outgoing and passionate about everything on the menu, we shared the muscles, escargot and duck and nothing but completely satisfied. What a gem! I can’t wait to head back to this cozy Inn for dinner(or perhaps even a night) and have more of a taste bud explosion!

We stayed three nights here — a WONDERFUL experience. The food was simply amazing — it’s a chef owned B&B! Breakfasts were delicious, but the dinners were even better. MUCHBETTER than dinner at the glass-blowers! And the overall service and experience at the B&B was wonderful. Go stay with Adam and Alex if you have the chance, but definately EATTHERE!

Our night away at the Parker House began with a martini(or two), progressed to a fine meal, perfectly paced, and with some great wine choices — and ended with a proper scotch(or two). Eight hours later, I was enjoying strong coffee, a decent Wifi connection, and eventually, a hearty breakfast. This isn’t your grandfather’s B&B. Underneath the antique, tucked-in-the-country veneer is a upscale, cosmopolitan vibe. Adam and Alex are great hosts and made our little getaway a weekend to remember.

We’d been somewhat disappointed with the atmosphere, service and food of our first dinner in Vermont at the Barnard Inn so we hoped for better on our second night in nearby Quechee. And we were initially impressed with our choice. The Parker House is quaint and romantic and we were nicely greeted and given a comfortable table near the fireplace. The service was also attentive and efficient but, unfortunately, the food didn’t match the service. We began with the goat cheese tart, something we’re almost guaranteed to order when it appears on a menu, but this one was a little burned and we were disappointed. The duck breast entrée was good but the steak was chewy and almost inedible. We didn’t sent it back… but we should have. Overall, the Parker House has potential but the kitchen needs a lot of work.
