Out & About Burgers

Being a native from Southern California, this is as close to In and Out as it gets. It is very comparable. (Without the extremely long lines). The look of this place is very deceiving because it operates out of a little trailer and is located near a uhaul rental place. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I’m not even a fan of sweet potato fries but these were amazing! My husband ordered the «Cagney style» fries which were just as delicious. This place makes residing in Washington a little more tolerable!

This place has not atmosphere as it is a food truck on the side of the road. You will be eating in your car or taking it home. The burgers and shakes are very good. The burgers put fast food to shame. It is a family favorite for a treat. The soda is a little pricey.

Just ate here for the first time. Still sitting in the parking lot super stuffed off the best burger EVER! Those grilled onion are super delicious. Thanks guys we’ll be back for sure

The food is good but the last three times I have been there I have asked for bacon on my burger and they don’t put any on it but still charge me for it. Nice staff and good food but I really don’t like paying for something I don’t get.

Best burgers and fries I’ve had in a long time. Customer service was amazing too. You have to try this place or you will regret it.

I went here based on the other reviews because I love onion rings and I was on «that» side of the road (anyone crazy enough to try to go against traffic on Meridian is either doing it at midnight or has a death wish). I agree the owners were excellent and super nice, and the onion rings were smoking hot, absolutely delicious and delicately crispy (for those who like the beer batter/​tempura style), but I had to take a star off because while they were the best onion rings (despite the really dark color) I’ve eaten in a long time, they were super oily and that oil went right through me like Ex-​Lax. Not a good thing when you’re stuck in traffic. Next time I’m getting a burger.

I’m very picky about my burger and very much so with fries. I had a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun and fries and I am very impressed, the burger had good flavor and the bun was great, the fries were very tasty and fresh. I will be back for another cheat meal soon:-) Being a person with Celiac disease good safe food is hard to come by.
Wanted to add because I see that other reviews state that the food isn’t as good as In and Out Burger, well In and Out Burger is mediocre at best this place is much better. As far as Cali goes which is where I’m from, nothing compares to Original Tommy’s and Fatburger.

Oh my gosh! What can I say, this place is amazing! We had double cheese burgers, a grilled cheese, sweet potatoe fries, cogany fries and onion rings. All were amazing! The onion rings flavors and freshness were on point! Then we got chocolate shakes and they were soooooo good, made with real ice cream! The burgers were sooooo damn good! And it all came to only 23 $ for the food and 7 $ for the milk shakes! Damn good prices for this area and quality of food!

Good stuff, although, I did order 2 doubles, and only left with singles hence four outta five stars. The burgers were fresh but small, but has an excellent taste.

Out and About Burger is delicious! By far the best onion rings I’ve ever had. The burgers are so good! Top quality food. Quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat.

Great place with great burgers. friendly service and got our large order all correct. Delicious burgers for a good price! Nice and crispy onion rings and great tasting house sauce.

Menu options were different from what’s posted on Unilocal the employees were friendly and prices were reasonable fast and fun! When I got home I was missing a grilled cheese

On my way home I had to make a split second decision where to buy dinner on Meridian. The choices were Out & About, Taco Time or Jack in the Box. I chose the former.
Luckily no one was close behind me to prevent me from making my swift right turn. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries for my sister. For me burger and fries. I ordered s $ 1 soft serve a dessert while waiting. I spoke with Jackie one of the owners (husband & wife team) who was super nice.
Dinner was great. I indulged. I rarely eat burgers but when I do, it is from this local establishment. I can’t believe that I ate all my fries. They give you a generous amount Burgers are delicious too. Yum.
I will like to continue to support local entrepreneurs rather than the big chains.

Closest thing to in and out. Tiny but mighty! Fast friendly service and amazing food!!!

Ordered a cheeseburger and order of fries and a chocolate malts. The order fries large chocolate malt was very delicious the cheeseburger was very slightly similar to in and out in California. Overall my meal was OK but not as good as I expected from other reviews

These guys are the best in Washington. They have very good burgers and fries. You need to try the fry sauce! While you’re there get an ice cream cone and onion rings too!!!

Yep… It’s a trailer in a Uhaul parking lot. Don’t let that stop you.
When we found this place, we were a little disappointed. Disappointed that it took so long to find a good burger place when there was a good, economical place just down the road!
The staff is awesome, the burgers are great, the house sauce is amazing, and it’s ALWAYS fresh food.
Our favorite part — $ 1 Ice Cream Cones. We don’t care if it’s winter or not. :)

Okay, so here is my tiny disclaimer about this place. *its darn close to in n’out burgers… but it’s not*
A coworker of mine recommended this tiny little shack since we both came from California. To him, he said ‘Their burgers taste like in n’out.‘
Is this possible?!
No way on earth did he say such blasphemy! (I kid, I kid… not really)
So I called up my sister and we made the trek down to Puyallup to go search for this burger. First off, the it was a bitch to get to. If you don’t pay attention, you ‘ll easily miss it. Second, it’s a shack!!!
It’s a drive up little burger shack with a simple menu. Drive up tell the nice young man your order and drive around the shack to get your order. If you would like there are some park tables you may park, get out and enjoy the meal outside of your vehicle.
Did I mention it’s a shack, this is located right off to the side of a U-​Haul rental space?
The quality was decent. The fries were average, the milkshake was tasty, my sister really enjoyed it. The burger… hmmm…the patty looked like it, the sauce was similar, but the bun… the bun…*sigh* I took one bite hoping to get a taste to home and only to be mildly surprised by the taste. It was pretty darn close but not the real thing. Was it worth the drive? Meh.
Would I go there again? Maybe. if the damn traffic wasn’t bad enough in Puyallup.

We read the reviews before heading over. Which was a challenge since Tom Tom couldn’t locate the address.
Anyway, Really good burgers and shakes. However, the Onion Rings were way over cooked.
