Loose Wheel Bar And Grill

I like to think I have a stomach of steel, but not when it comes to the chili at Loose Wheel. I’ve had some bomb food here before, and maybe it was just a bad batch, but both my boyfriend and I had insane stomach aches after picking up a couple to-​go orders of their chili last night. Kept me up all night… at least my bf was able to sleep his off, but the regret is strong with this one.
Next time, I’ll go for a tried and true Ruben Sandwich.

After my first experience here I was reluctant to return, however I decided to give them another try. The service was better but the condition of the building and bathrooms are still deplorable, the metal railing was hanging from the walls in the bathroom this time and were filthy. The food is ok, I came for the wings on Wednesday which are 0.50 each. They were pretty good along with the fries. If you are willing to look past the conditions of the bar the food is ok but it’s usually crowded so come early.

This place never fails! I love the food, the scenery, the drinks even. It food is quiet reasonably priced for what you receive. Every time I have been here, I have been greeted with none other than friendly staff and the best service I have received at a «bar.» Though I have only been three times, I have not been let down yet. Keep up the good work guys! I am giving the loose wheel 4 stars for their fresh look, the delicious food, the friendly service and the overall atmosphere of the place.

The chicken and Jo’s are so damn good. You will dream of them. Seriously. The chicken is pressure cooked and the Jo’s are seasoned and crispy in a delicious way. Quick and knowledgable staff. TVs everywhere.

we were so very disappointed when we went to this loose wheel on 10 – 17 to watch the football game that night.
i love the tacoma location, but i can’t say i plan to revisit the puyallup one any time soon — if ever again :(
we sat in the front (nearest the entrance) up near the left corner. our server (long brown hair) must have been assigned waaaay to big of a section that night, or she was just slow, or new — not sure which (or maybe they were just short handed) but she was very scarce. she *barely ever* came around.
now the food — when served to our table (which took forever and a day) it was not even hot. like, it was warm as if sitting back in the kitchen waiting for our server to go get it. (this is an issue, people.)
then we were done with the food and our plates just sat there forever (HUGELY annoying.)
so finally, we decided we wanted to leave for another bar… of course, nobody to be found to close us out… plates and glasses crowding our table… so my husband had to tell a random server he found on the other side of the restaurant that we just had to go and our server is M.I.A. so can we please somehow be «closed out»

This place was really nice. Good atmosphere, nice ambience and great food. If you like spicy you have to try the stupid hot wings. Just amazing. The servers were awesome and very accommodating, drinks were made correctly and fast. Only concern is the game area is a little cluttered, it was hard to play pool because of seating surrounding the tables but otherwise we had a great time. Maybe removing the arcades, no one seemed to be interested. We will definitely return.

We love this place! Food is consistently good, service is consistently good and drinks are too! This place is a gem! Prime rib is huge and juicy. I cannot say enough good things about the loose wheel! We came in once and it was wall to wall people, one of the owners or managers came and served us, and treated us like Gold! He Was very kind and the service was awesome! This is a gem, we like everything we have tried on the menu! Good portions!

Loose wheel is a good place to watch a game at but I got discriminated againstv (sexuality) by the bartender, Red. He overhead a conversation between me and another guy and cut both of us off. Shariss is a great waitress, though.

I was having a beer at the bar and the lead bartender moved our empty pitcher and didnt offer to refill it. So sad. Usually good service. Bummer.

What is it with this place??? The server makes eye contact with me as she chit chats with friends at a table across from me. I CANNOT get service.

Food was ok not impressed… tried to watch the game and they wouldnt play it! Just played the game they wanted to watch! Very disappointed in them i spent over 50 dollars and didnt even get to enjoy my food while watching the game! Waitress was a total bitch too… asked her to change the channel and told me what we get is what we get and said she wasnt gonna be babysitting the tv… stupid, never going back.

Getting truck worked on across the street. was told to come here. came in, portions were great for the money. Service good and friendly, and there are tvs on every wall. we enjoyed ourself. definitely would come back!

The food is excellent! Gargantuan portions of mouth watering decadence. I had the philly cheese steak, and it was delicious. It came with a nice pickle spear and a generous side of home Made potato chips that were absolutely fabulous.
The service was prompt and friendly. Knowledgeable and courteous.
I will definitely eat here again. …and again!

The place has a definite bar atmosphere, which is very loud. They allow families with children to come in, but I wouldn’t bring my kids. The place has a ton of televisions with about every sport imaginable on, and a DJ playing music that I couldn’t even hear.
The food was really good, and the Saturday night Steak Special can’t be beat anywhere. My only complaint about the food is I asked for my steak to be cooked to medium and got medium well. I had several other friends that ordered medium rare, and got medium.
The service was the one weakness, and why I only give it 3 stars. When the food was brought out one person didn’t get any salad dressing with their salad and had to wait a while to get the waitress attention. Then the steaks were delivered missing steak knives and once again had to wait. The waitress also didn’t ask if anyone needed steak sauce, and had to grab it from another table. I also want to say she never came back to ask how the food was either, which shows a total lack of being attentive.
Overall if you don’t mind the noise, and so so service the place is okay.

Love this place. We come in here at least 2x/​month. I love their boneless wings, my husband does too. The prices are not as high as BWW either. And tons of TVs! The servers are mostly girls, & they’re all very friendly & take care of you really well.
We prefer coming for the regular menu vs breakfast. Because the wings! Sauces are good, esp spicy BBQ. Free basket of their Wheel Chips during Happy Hour. YES! Order onion ring sauce with the chips! Slight bite!

This bar has a little of everything. Maybe too much. We came for darts and karaōke. There are pool tables, arcade games and dart machines. The day boats are in an odd place as one board is right by a table and if there it’s anyone sitting there, you can’t use that board.
The karaōke was decent, the DJ looked bored, but was great when you talked to him. Staff was friendly and fairly responsive.
Food was good, nothing spectacular but definately would eat there again.
Lots of TV’s, plenty of tables, and it had a good atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a good sports bar, Loose Wheel is the place. The staff is awesome. Although there is no stout beside Guiness, they have a decent selection of beer on tap and the drinks are solid. The food is good and portions are pretty big. Keep in mind its a sports bar. Although there is a restaurant section, to me its a bar. Prices of both food and drinks are very reasonable. Great place to belly up to the bar, watch a game, play pool and shoot darts.

Overall, we’re still pretty impressed with Loose Wheel, but I DID bring them down to a four-​star because their desserts are just not good.
We have been here a few more times since our first visit. We were more impressed with the burgers this time around, enjoyed a good Rueben sandwich there, and liked the chicken wings they offered.
We also LOVE the variety of drinks they have here. NO complaints about any of the alcohol. :)
Now for the bad… The desserts.
We tried the deep fried cheesecake and deep fried twinkie again and they just aren’t good.
The batter isn’t good, they fry it in the same oil as the fish, and the «huckleberry» flavor has zero flavor.
Now…Had I just not enjoyed the desserts the last time, I probably would have kept them at five stars and not ordered desserts in the future, but the desserts made us sick. Not «food poisoning» sick, but «that really wasn’t good» sick.
I’m looking forward to going back here, NOT getting dessert, and giving them a five-​star rating again. :)

I went here for the NFC championship game. The atmosphere at this bar was fantastic. My bartender known as «The queen» did great getting all our drinks and food. So many TV’ s, and a lot of seating.
I got the western omelet for breakfast. That was tasty, the potatoes are were also good. They have one of the best bloody Mary’s in town. I also ordered the sweet and spicy buffalo wings, also good. Taco pizza also very good
We ordered a drink called Gladiators. The queen made them for us. And they are very addicting.
Had a blast while I was. I will become a regular.

Probably worth more then 3 stars but not quite a 4 star morning…
I would have went with 4 had they been able to get the eggs right… how many times must I say over medium should not contain snotty whites…
First time here, the family thought breakfast before hunting for a Christmas tree was the right idea, I agreed!
Not sure if this is usual or not, but service on this Sunday morning at 9:30 was incredibly slow.
This is a sports bar… for breakfast, order a cocktail, soda or juice, but by all means avoid the awful coffee!
Service and coffee aside, the food was really good and portions ginormous!
This would be a great place to catch the game or just and evening out at the bar. The fried options and burgers looked amazing.
Feel free to bring the kids.
