This is, hands down, the best Ivar’s location I have ever been to. It was impeccably clean, the employees were super friendly, and the food was great. The interior is well-​maintained and the décor looks great. They have a great big parking lot and a drive-​thru as well!
Food came out fast and hot. I tried their new fish tacos and they were suuuuper tasty. My brother had a french bread bowl filled with red chowder and it was delicious.
I wish this location were closer to my house, but alas…

Overpriced.
Facilities are good but portion size relative to cost is out of balance.
Regrettably, I’ve tried to appreciate the fish and chips, but find it difficult to see what makes the food special?
Am I missing something here?

All I gotta say is…“Cajun cod and chips” its the best thing on their menu!!! They are quick and the food is always hot! Sometimes… I get an extra piece of fish with my order too. they must know how much I love it… thank you for keeping the Ivars name and food to the standard I know it to be!!! I don’t know how they do it but for packaged tarter sauce they must have a secret ingredient in there because it is always on point and the best tarter you can have with their food! I don’t eat pork so haven’t tried the chowders except for the smoked salmon one and that is a true ode to the Pacific Northwest!!! Big chunks of salmon and very filling!!! This is my regular spot for lunch on Fridays! Can’t wait!

This was my first Ivar’s experience and I wasn’t sure what to expect for a drive through seafood bar. Service was quick, staff was very friendly, and the food was hot. I got the 3-​piece fish n chips and a cup of white chowder. The fish n chips were great, but the fish fillets were much smaller than I anticipated for the price. Breading was good and crunchy without being overly greasy or oily which was appreciated. I don’t know if they have vinegar inside, but offering that with to-​go orders would be nice. I didn’t ask for it since I thought of it after I drove away, so I don’t know if it’s available or not. I love that the chowder had nice big pieces of clam, but it had a very strong pork based flavor that overpowered the GREAT clam flavor that I know was in there. It was also a bit thicker than I typically like my chowder. Overall, it was a good experience and a nice spot to pick up a quick meal.

Ivars is amazing. They have the best fish and chips and chowder around. And the prices are pretty decent for seafood. Fish and chips are about $ 7, and you can get the full boat special for $ 22 which comes with ten pieces of cod, a basket of fries, two coleslaws, and two cups of chowder. This serves about 2 to 4 people.
I am not a big clam chowder person, but this stuff is incredible. You definitely want the white chowder not the red. You can have as many crackers as you want and I love to dip them in my chowder.
The fish is super fresh and flaky, not a big grease sponge like at some places. By far my favorite inexpensive fish joint

I don’t ever want to go to any Ivars but this one! Excellent service! And Chris the cook came out to greet us! Amazing day today! Food was great! Everything was clean! :) my husband and I left happy!

I really like this Ivars and I would give them more stars except that they have added a «waiter» to the seating area. He is a senior citizen and a bit shaky. He told me to sit down and it was his job to get the condiments and refills. I watched him manhandle another customers cup, lid and straw. Keep in mind he is clearing everyone’s dirty trash away and carrying around a dirty rag with him with no hand washing in between. Yuck! NO THANKS! If this continues, I will skip lunch here.
I do love their fish tacos. They are delicious and grilled. I recommend them.

Food was delicious. People were very friendly. Service was also quick even though there were quite a few people there. We ordered both the red and white chowder. As always, the white was great, we don’t care for the red chowder though. Fish and chips were also great… I liked they weren’t coated in so much breading-​I actually tasted the fish.

Fish tacos. Then again the next day. Such is how I feel. Fish n chips were a hit as well. Never saw the inside. On this trip filled with grok-​outs at odd hours, I needed you to shine your lighthouse beacon upon me.
This is 10x better than Long Johns and its ilk. I’m battling internally whether to break out the Fifth Star, which is usually reserved for Chik Fil A. However when I needed a light meal, you were there for me.

Love, Love Ivar’s!
You never know how good Clam Chowder and Fish and Chips can be until you try Ivar’s. The quality is always consistent and so are the flavors.
It is not as inexpensive as it used to be, but for good Fish & Chips at a fast food place is worth it.
If you go to the Ivar’s Restaurant at the Water Front in downtown Seattle you will have a great Seafood experience but the prices for their Fish and Chips will double compared to the Fast Food ones, but the taste will be just as good.
I recommend both the Fine Ivar’s Seafood Restaurant and the Fast Food Seafood Bars.

Went through the drive-​thru and picked up a tanker (32 oz) of clam chowder, pretty yummy, very thin, but creamy. I don’t think I would be able to eat more than a small bowl of this!

Just another fast food fish and chips joint? Well sort of. The food is the same at most every Ivar’s that I have been to (Ivar’s Acres of Clams aside). The difference here is the fresh feel to the place and the super friendly staff. We visited for lunch and were not the only ones in the restaurant, but the staff went out of their way to check on us and I really felt well served.
Silly to say, but by far the best service I have ever received at a fast food restaurant.

This place is amazing for service. It usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes for food on a normal day.
Tonight, it was 13 minutes and there was an absolute crush of people doing the Ivar’s birthday menu (bogo at 1.07). Everyone was kind, patient, and very very attentive to their guests. Awesome service.
I’m impressed that a company would invest as much as they do in their business in terms of management, up keep, and giving back to their customers.

Clean, friendly and tasty. I stopped by 2pm mid week for a light bite. My order of prawns and crispy chips were brought to my table hot and crispy, not greasy.
I took the time to walk the restaurant, they have a nice display of vintage ‘Ivar’s” with photos, promotional items, etc. You can’t miss the wall of awards, be sure to take a look! They are doing something right. I should have given them 4 stars, due to this being my first visit to this location I am being conservative. Maybe next visit, I will be back. Plenty of parking too.
