This is a very cute and enjoyable place. There is a very nice selection of teas, and one of my favorite lunch items is served here: potato-leek soup. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but their bakery items look amazing. Truly, one of the best tea shops I have been to.

I REALLY loved this place. My friend and I went for a lazy girls’ day out. We chose this place based on other Unilocal reviews. When you walk in, there is a little shop area, and a deli style ordering counter and a bakery case in the back. There is a separate dining area through a doorway. The shop is great! They carry a ton of food items, candy, drinks, frozen items, and baked goods. There are bumper stickers, some home décor, and Harry Potter merch too. We got the jacket potatoes and ham and cheese quiche, both of which were DELICIOUS. The raspberry Vicki and the banoffee cup cakes were excellent! Lavender tea and Breakfast tea rounded out the meal. Very friendly waitstaff and excellent customer service. This is not a fancy place, but it very welcoming and the food is wonderful. It’s really great for a casual and quiet lunch, or a fun, lazy brunch.

I love finding little gems in Puyallup! I’ve been here twice already for afternoon tea! Tea is by reservation only so be sure to call a day ahead if you want the full afternoon tea service. Otherwise, just stop in for tea and some lunch or pastries since they have a full menu and bakery as well. Afternoon tea comes with a pot of tea and there are many different types to choose from so it can be hard to decide on one. Along with tea comes a tower of snacks and sweets! There’s a little bit of everything-sandwiches, cookies, tarts, and scones. It may not look like a lot of food since everything is mini-sized but it is definitely filling once you reach the end! After all the belly-filling food and drink, it’s time to do some shopping! British bites also has a large selection of British snacks, candies, housewares, beverages, and frozen food-all imported from across the pond! If you’re in the area, make a stop at British Bites! The staff is friendly and welcoming!

This is my first time here and enjoyed it very much. I had their coffee and tried the bangers and mashed for lunch, both were excellent! I would recommend this place and will definitely come back when I come through again!

A charming little British place serving up tasty home-style bites! The food is simple yet tasty, hearty and satisfying. We ordered a cottage pie, bangers and mash, an apple roly-poly, and a lemon mini vicky(Victoria sponge cake). Everything was delicious and exactly what we wanted, cooked to perfection with thought and care. My boyfriend said it reminded him of his mum’s cooking. I honestly don’t know a higher compliment than that! Side note: attached is a small shop selling British staples including candies, biscuits, teas and such. Worth a visit! Side side note: the bathroom is actually a Doctor Who shrine, complete with Dalek cardboard cutout and pictures of every Doctor and most companions. Definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend checking out British Bites for a taste of the UK without the transatlantic flight.

This was a great place! The food was definitely above par, the service most excellent(a lot by the owner herself) and she had wonderful pastries/desserts, too! This is NOT your ordinary British fare. I ordered coffee and got it in a press! Most impressive, indeed. I highly recommend British Bites! Oh, and it’s a grocery store, too!

My husband and I came in on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I had the turkey Brie cranberry sandwich on a croissant and my husband had bangers and mash. They were both tasty. We also had a hot cross bun and a strawberry jam rolly polly for dessert also both tasty and good. It’s a cute little restaurant with a shop on the side full of candy, drinks, canned goods and such from Europe. My husband really wanted a scotch egg but they weren’t making them.

Still love this place. Not only are the treats(made in house) amazing, but it is the perfect place to shop for fun gifts for friends and family. Love all the authentic British candies, jams, and teas that we can buy!

This place was fantastic for lunch. The whole experience was very pleasant; fresh, clean, neat, exciting, simple food that was great, desserts, and a little shop to poke around at. I’m giving this place two thumbs way up!

Upon entering this cute little place; British flags, British Candy, the signature telephone booth and other British paraphernalia. It’s really quite charming how they set everything up. The entrees, dessert and tea we had were delicious, I would definitely come back again. Entrée: Cheese Braxton pickle, my sister let me try it and it was so delicious. I loved the fact it was in a type of puff pastry. We recommend having soup with the dish instead of salad. Potato and leek soup with a cheese scone was very filling and satisfying. The bread was moist and flaky one of the best scones I’ve had in a long time. Dessert: Mini Victoria sponge cake was my absolute favorite. I love love love love this cake, the filling is just amazing. You have to try it because I can’t explain it in words. I had the raspberry and lemon packed to go. I usually don’t like anything with lemon, but I have it a try and omgosh. My friend had the scone with some jam and butter and she loved it. Tea: Lavender, we recommend this tea it was a lovely fusion.

Growing up in a British family you tend to miss these types of places/traditions, so it was so great to find British Bites. Next time we’ll do a full tea, but what we ordered looked and tasted fabulous! We got a mini lemon vickie, a GF lemon scone(SO good) with clotted cream and strawberry preserves, two chocolate/caramel shortbread bars and a pot of their English Breakfast tea. Despite being British I don’t have a palate for tea, but it was actually pretty yummy, especially with the scone. Cannot wait to go back for a formal tea. The table next to us ordered the Downton Abbey(Valentine’s Day) tea and it looked AMAZING!

Such a fun place! Went there just to check things out and ended up staying for lunch. The owner took time to talk with us and tell us about the shop. Big bonus they do a special Dr who theme in September. Definitely coming back.

This place is great! I can see myself coming here in the afternoon with girlfriends or my daughter to enjoy a spot of tea and a sweet treat. Today, I had the potato leek soup with cheese scone and a macaroon tart. The soup was ok. It was weird. One spoonful burned my mouth and the next was just lukewarm. The leek flavor was mild yet present but it lacked simple seasoning. Perhaps a little salt would have been helpful. The scone was delicious, crisp on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. The macaroon tart was to die for. It was sweet, coconutty, crispy and flaky, and a little bit salty(ah, that’s where the salt went!). I love the concept of this place. It’s fun and original. Being from San Francisco I would love for this place to be in my Neighborhood. The service was great. Everyone was very nice and honestly, although the soup lacked a little seasoning– that might not be a bad thing. It was homemade. The veg was hand chopped and the leek pieces were tender and delicious. Will def be back when I return to the area in business.

This is our second time here and both times we had exceptional service! The staff are very attentive and made sure we always had a fresh pot of tea. The wife and I shared the turkey, Brie, and cranberry Ina crusty roll… so delicious! My daughter loves the crumpets. I enjoyed a scone with the clotted cream and jam, they are melt in your mouth goodness! If your looking for a relaxing spot to get away from the all American hustle and bustle. Make your next stop at the little gem of Puyallup, «British Bites»! A++++.

Forget Starbucks! This place is the place to go for a leisure cup of tea or coffee. We came in looking for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the full menu. I had the bangers and mash and my husband had the Mulligatawny soup(like a curry soup) & a Brie & cranberry sandwich. Everything was so good! We also bought some British candies from the gift shop side of the café. We have already planned our next visit with our moms for the Christmas holiday. Can’t wait to go back!

What a pleasant surprise to find this charming store/café in Puyallup! This is a great place for a taste of the UK if you are in area. I stopped in after picking up some cupcakes while I was in the area, looking for a late lunch. I was greeted by two employees who welcomed me. I ordered a potato and leek soup which came with a cheese scone. Both were delicious! I also ordered a pot of the Buckingham Palace tea which was delicious — they had over 3 pages of teas, so I’ll need to go back to try more of them. As I was finishing up, the manager stopped by to ask if I needed a top up on the tea, and I saw that they had butterbeer! I immediately ordered it. It was delicious, a little frosty, delicious but not overwhelmingly butter tasting and not too sweet. They said it was made with ice cream… delicious! They also have a little market with lots of British goods, I picked up some lemon curd, tea, candies, soda, and scone mix. My entire total was under $ 30 including my meal. Would definitely recommend this place for British goods plus tea time. There aren’t a lot of parking stalls in the front, but I think there were more spots in the back.

I’ve been here just twice so far, both times for tea & scones. Very nice visits. Tea is fresh & comes in cute pots. Scones are really good: even have gluten free options. Very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Give it a try!

I live super close to this place but never noticed it until now. We came for lunch with some tea. I had Buckingham palace garden party tea or the one with longest name and it’s apparently one of the most popular loose leaf tea they have. I had it with milk and honey and it was delicious with the tiny tea cookie that came with the tea. And I had the lunch special with savory pastry and side salad. With the tea, that got me pretty full so I couldn’t get desserts. The whole place is very British and there are pop culture related goods everywhere. The whole bathroom is doctor who themed, even in the inside. There were even some reading material in the bathroom in case you got bored. The British servers were nice. The funny thing is you order with your name at the counter and sit down to eat and then come back to the counter to pay. It wasn’t square but I paid with card and they find your order and use the tablet to help you pay. I was going to tip with the card but the lady pressed the no tip button and asked me to sign. I was like lol ok thanks for making it easier for me. Oh yeah I also bought the Mars bar because my sister asked me to. They have a bunch of funny British candy and snacks, and of course, tea. I need to come back later in the summer to try other tea and some sweet pastries and check out some Sherlock, Doctor Who and Harry Potter themed events they’re hosting.

Super cute location! Lots of tea to choose from, and tasty treats– savory and sweet. We had a large pot of a red tea, with a scone(harm + clotted cream) and crumpets with the same. Delicious. They also have a store area that sells British goods and home wares that are all Brit themed. I absolutely loved it. It reminded me of the time I actually had high tea in London a few years ago. And the owners are British as well. This a must see. Can’t wait to go back.
