The Crew’s Nest

Have been going here for 10years and was previously a 4 star place. This summers bar tender is rude and made the worst brandy Alexander I’ve ever had.

We docked our boat @ The Crews Nest from Sunday tell Tuesday. They have good docks with power & water hook-up’s. They have their own Resturant, large pool plus separate kid friendly pool area and nice bathhouse for guests. Bathhouse were typical from our experiences when travel by boat.
The WiFi was UN-​USEABLE our entire visit. The staff could care less. They were not helpful nor cared that the WiFi was not working. They blamed their ISP but we could not even connect to their network with any of our devices. If they state they have WiFi it should work or don’t offer it. That simple. I know it sounds picky, but now days WiFi is not a luxury, it is needed daily to stay connected. I am not taking about streaming movies or downloading large files, but as a boater, checking weather is critical to safe navigation and travels, much less access to equipment manuals and such. Yes, you can do this via a smart phone on a tiny screen, but this is not a convenient option and pricy given the data charges if you travel as much as we do. I would have rated 5 STARS if the staff had actually cares or even just admitted they were having issues and apologized. The staff could have even asked if they could look up something for us on their computer but they did not. A shame too, as The Crews Nest seems like a nice place.
Dockage fees are slightly more per foot then other options but we think, given the pool and clean bathhouse, it is probably worth it. The Dock hands are great at belong dock as well.

An A-​OK from me for this place! I would go back when I am with members. Great location, average service. There were a bunch of us so maybe the service would be better for a smaller party. I ordered the penne a la vodka with the veggies and I thought there was way too much sauce and the portion was HUGE. I didn’t want to worry about hanging on to my leftovers container all day so I didn’t bother to take it with me.

Been a member for many years and we thoroughly enjoy the club and all the great fellow members and staff. You are always treated well with a smile and a warm welcome.
