Ideal Management

I have had property under management with Ideal and it’s been a great experience. My property is a 70’s house in Sunset Park, so the need for repairs comes up inevitably once in a while, and I’m an absentee landlord. I need them to be on top of things and they are. Mike and Shelley have been great to work with, I never have to take calls at odd hours, and the costs are reasonable. They’ve handled all issues promptly and efficiently, so I am sure that the tenants are as pleased as I am. The same tenant has stayed the whole time, and that says a lot.

Never rent from them! Worst renting experience I have ever had! Extremely rude! If something is broken don’t bother asking them to fix it. «I can’t just send someone out every time you have a problem. Do you want to pay for that?» Manager. Its your job and I do pay for it. House was dirty when we moved in. Mold in fridge, no light bulbs, piss sitting in toilet for at least a month… DONT RENT FROM THEM! I wish I got this advice before I did!

viewed a few houses with them, they were nice, but felt a little rushed (told to hurry after being there for about 5 min). we did however find 2 houses that we liked we asked about dogs we were told we would need to apply and pay $ 25/​per person app fee, but they wouldn’t run credit or «use» app fee if our dog would be an issue,(because we did not want the house if our whole family was not welcome). and they would let us know in about 48hrs. 3 full buisness days later we called them and asked, they told us «your credit is great everything looks good!» They called back a few minutes later asking about our dog., then our present lease. on the 4^th buisness day they inform us we were not accepted because of or dog?
We spoke with 2 Ideal Management employees about the dog/​deposit, they both said almost the exact same thing (could be scripted) that they «would not run your credit untill we find out if our dog was ok, and if not you get your money back»
why would someone spend 50 bucks to apply for a house for a house where only part of their family can move to…
