Hanson Clinic

I wouldn’t even give Charles Hanson 1 star, but I had to to say what I have to say. I went into Urgent Care after falling on my elbow at my daughter’s birthday party at the skating rink. They did x-ray’s and the nurse and doctor there were very gentle because they clearly saw a fracture of the tibia at the elbow. The doctor sent my x-ray’s to the radiologist who confirmed the fracture and I was sent to see Charles Hanson at the Hanson Clinic. After waiting for well over an hour to be seen, the nurse kept coming in to ask me questions, before I ever talked to Mr. Hanson. Mr. Hanson walked in, with nurse in tow who had her computer in hand. They both sat down and here is what happened.
Mr. Hanson said so what happened here? I went to respond and he said «No, I am not talking to you. I’m talking to her and pointed at the nurse. The nurse went on with «43 yr old female fell on ice at ice skating rink…» I butted in and said no it was at a plain Olé skating rink. Mr. Hanson seemed to be irritated that the patient was talking. He then told my I had an old fracture, not a new injury. I explained to him that I have never injured my elbow and he blew me off. He said he was going to put me in a moveable brace so my muscles do not atrophy and the place would call me to be fitted for a brace. 1. I never got a call about getting a brace for my arm. 2. I talked to another, we’ll respected, orthopedic surgeon and he actually got angry and said there was absolutely no healing in this injury. This was a new fracture and I should not be bending my arm and I needed another x-​ray in 3 weeks. 3. I showed the x-​ray to my family practitioner and she said the same. It is a new fracture. So, 5 different medical professionals said I fractured my elbow and not to listen to Mr. Hanson because he is completely wrong. Horrible bedside manner, never even talked to me (the patient). Misdiagnosed me, which I was told by 2 other doctors that I could have ended up with permanent damage. Do not go to this man? He his old, and needs to go back to school and also go through some kind of training on how to speak to people. Horrible experience and horrible man. I do not consider him a real Dr.

Don’t make any other plans for the day of your appointment. We have been to clinic multiple times and we have never been seen on time. Minimum wait 45 minutes. Today we are approaching an hour wait. I think hanson is a decent surgeon, but he needs to get his clinical practice in order.
