I was waiting in line for a good ten minutes and when it was my turn to be helped the cashier refused to help me and said that someone else had come before me which they did not. The makeup I had to return turned my face orange, I told that to the cashier and she was rude and did not offer any help. I’ve had nothing but rude service from Sephora. The makeup is good, the people are awful.

I’m compelled to leave a review after my experience today. When I lived in provo, I went to jcp salon for ~ 7 years with the same stylist. I trusted her with my hair, I trusted her with my life. She got a teaching position-I was left an orphan. I’ve been flip flopping all over the valley trying to find someone I trust with little success. It’s been 6 months since my last haircut. I was ratty and was on a mission to get my hair cut TODAY. I tried calling WVC jcp multiple times to no avail. I called provo to see if they could xfr me. Chera was so nice, and went above and beyond to book an appt. for me. Solid. I go to valley fair and the power is out and the mall is on lockdown. Hmph. I call provo back and ask if they can get me in today. Yep! Perfect. I arrive, Thuy cuts my hair. It looks healthy and lovely and not homeless anymore. Thank you thank you thank you Chera and Thuy!!!

Now that the poor review has been removed I can go to my original rating of 3 stars… justice has been served. Very normal store, and I agree with Jake the customer service is all over the place. The person who helped me today was amazing! I wish I wrote his name down because he deserves a promotion. Possibly a million dollar raise! The mens section is up top just so everyone knows! That was pretty easy to find out but I figured I might save you the trouble. The store has a wide variety of clothing, housing things, etc. The pricing is fair and they have sales quite frequently so whatever you need you can find it just keep checking up on their pricing. THEVERDICT: This is JC Penny and just pray that you get a good employee whos taking care of you and you will love your experience here. I wish this place gave out free ice cream… something to think about Señor Penny.

I usually like the JC Penney stores I have gone to in the past. This particular location in Provo isn’t my favorite. I’ve been several times and have found their employees’ level of customer service to be all over the map. Here is an example of what I’m talking about from my visit today. I drove to the Provo location outside their store at 9:55 this morning. I knew they open at 10 am so I waited in my car and read a few emails on my phone to pass a few minutes. At 9:58 I decided to walk up to their door. As I made my way through the parking lot and toward the door a female JC Penney employee walked out and stared at me for about 10 seconds as she walked. I stared back. She had this look on her face like I was crazy. She then says to me, «The store doesn’t open until 10.» Looking at my watch I replied, «It’s 9:59 am, I think I’ll wait it out.» She replied back in this suit yourself tone of voice, «Well, OK, I just thought I’d let you know.» What did she want me to do, walk back to my car and come right back? It was 10 by the time I got to the door. There are a few employees I’ve encountered there that are much nicer and easier to deal with. But this type of awkward exchange with Provo JC Penney employees I had this morning is typical based on the few visits I’ve made to this store. The main reason I go to JC Penney is for their big & tall clothing. Like other stores with big & tall sections, JC Penney has a lot more BIG clothing than they do tall. Nonetheless, the selection of tall clothing is decent. Their prices are much better than their competitors. They frequently have sales too. Most JC Penney locations I would give four or five stars. As I’ve alluded to already, the service at the Provo location needs some major improvements.
