I was feeling great today having ridden a bike to Race Point. I came in and asked the older blond woman for half a pound of Asian noodles. She gave me a third of a pound. It was delicious btw. However, she was unpleasant yesterday, slicing my prosciutto really thick which nobody does, and again today unpleasant. I asked for hot sauce, she said she didn’t have any, I said ok. Then she sarcastically responded, «you’re welcome». After this she stared at me as I ate outside. Either she doesn’t like lesbians, assuming I am one, or she needs a girlfriend desperately. I hope the manager removes her. I will think twice about returning, good food or not.

Went here to try the famous Pilgrim sandwich. The sandwich is basically what you would find on any left over Thanksgiving table. Turkey, cranberry, stuffing, and a couple of other items. The sandwich itself was a bit on the sweet side, but I tend to skew that way so I really enjoyed it. My friend and I also tried one of the half priced breakfast sandwiches with Portuguese sausage which was actually even tastier. Definitely worth the $ 2.25 that we paid for it. Overall, the sandwiches were flavorful. Maybe not as fresh as Relish, but still pretty tasty. And that whole order came out to less than $ 10 total so it was definitely a bargain as well for the amount of food.

a west end stop for lots of things you’ll(I) surely need. cigs, beer, coffee, breads, fruit pies, smiley service. and a shirt. plus beats Relish with tastier, bigger, cheaper sandwiches.

This is the place to get a takeout sandwich in Ptown and everything you need for your day at the beach-sunscreen, sandwiches, sides, dessert and drinks. The sandwiches are freshly made and there are a lot of nice options like curry chicken, and condiments. I have found the people in there are very friendly. And for the reviewer who had the penny incident, there was a penny tray when I went there.,

You know that thing when your order at a store comes to $ 5.01 and the guy behind the register counts out .99 in change rather than spot you for the penny? This is the kind of store this place is.(Perhaps not surprising since this place is now run by the Angel Food folks, who were never exactly known for their customer service.) To be fair, the sandwiches are OK, and food quality overall is much better than it was under the previous management. But yeesh, that penny thing really bugs me(especially when there was an empty take a penny/leave a penny dish right next to the register). I won’t be back to this Angel Foods outpost either. And Connie’s makes better breakfast sandwiches anyway.

I was thrilled to see Liz from Angel Foods opening up a second location here inside the General Store! The General Store has always been known for their breakfast sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches have returned again under the new ownership! I bought a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich yesterday and it is one of the best I have had here in Provincetown! The thick and moist Portuguese roll for their breakfast sandwich adds a multitude of flavors! Better yet, it was under $ 6!

–Best kept secret in Provincetown –Everything from condoms and lube to sanwiches and cookies. –Probably best and least expensive pizza(only on the weekends) –Other great inexpensive dinner plates to go, such as meatloaf, pastas, and szechuan noodles/chicken. Then go back for the omelet sandwiches in the morning.

Love the sandwiches and soup here. I’ve tried manyof them. Tuna or Ham or just a cheese sandwich, all have been top notch. Staff is patient(which is good since the selections are wide ranging with losts of add ons) turn around is quick and there are a few tables where you can enjoy your meal. There are a few parking spots available. Having been back many times. great option for quick meal at reasonable price in PTown.

Conjure up if you will the opening credits of Murder She Wrote panning out to the quintessential New England beach/sea town. Now picture that on a constant loop a la I Am the Cheese. Could you believe that I entered this place five times, unaware of the fact that it was the same damn place each and every time!?! No, I wasn’t on something. Perhaps it was due to all the walking since I can’t ride a bike. Lame I know. I would walk by thinking«oh how charming» only to walk in and realize that I was here the day before. To mask my sheer downward mental spiral I would sheepishly purchase a diet Dr. Pepper as if that was my intent all along. So, why am I giving it four stars? Their chocolate cannoli. It was an utter and delightful surprise. Now having tasted Mike’s I would say that the P-town’s General Store should be THE cannoli place to hit in MA!!! It’s sweet but mild, the chocolate isn’t overpowering but balanced, and the shell is crunchy without being too hard. But then again why listen to a senile sexagenarian«mystery» writer who couldn’t solve her way out of a brown paper bag?

I must agree w/Jeffrey on all counts. This store has a little of everything you need. The people who work here are very friendly every time I’ve been in here, even when you ask one of them to make you one of their very sexy sandwiches. I can’t remember the name of the sandwich I had here the other day, but it was tuna w/avocado, sprouts, lettuce and tomato on french bread… YUM! The breakfast sandwiches are an egg lovers delight, which is not me, but my friend loved his. Basically it’s a Portuguese roll w/sausage or bacon, cheese and a two egg omelet. Again, I only wish I could stand the taste of eggs :(Their cookies rock and they serve good coffee… and always w/a smile.

From sunscreen to cigarettes, chewing gum to lube — this place has just about everything a gay man would need for a summer getaway in P-Town. Leaving the Tea Party at the Boatslip Resort, I was very confused when my friend John said he wanted to grab dinner from the general store… ah what a who and a huh? But, make your way inside this cozy little shop and you’ll find all your essentials served with friendly smiles. And as an added bonus, there’s a deli in the back serving freshly made sandwiches to order. I inhaled the delicious«Daddy» chicken salad sandwich. Woof.
