What a great treat eating here was! The wings were crazy good, the seasoning is one of the best I’ve ever head. The carrot app was delicious too. Fried chicken was quite good. It all went down well with a cocktail called bully bones(rum)!

Their food here is surprisingly good. Like despite having been two blocks away for the longest time no one had brought up the name. It’s a tapas restaurant so you’ll have to order an assortment of dishes but I think compared to normal tapas their helpings are a little bigger. They have some outdoor and indoor seating so perfect for a great day out. The ambiance of the venue is also nice and food comes out pretty quickly. It’s a good date spot. In terms of dishes some of the things we got: –Deviled eggs: They were so flavorful. Like normally I think the taste of the egg is overbearing but the smoke shallots and wasabi marinated mango were a perfect compliment. I highly recommend. –Spanish Octopus: My favorite dish we had! If you don’t like squishy things it wont be for you but the sauce was out of this world and the octopus was cooked perfectly. –Lobster Mac + Cheese: I couldn’t eat this because I’m allergic to lobster but my friends thoroughly enjoyed the dish. It was also a large helping and very very cheesy. Also nicely plated. –Lulas: The second best calamari I’ve had in Providence. It is more on the softer side so if you like it crispy you may have to request that. Their jalapenos are also so fresh and you can tell that based on their spice level. –Espinana a la Catalana: I wasn’t particularly the biggest fan of this one. The sherry glaze was great but I am not a personal fan of the combination of other ingredients. Overall definitely give this restaurant a chance. Its close to a personal favorite!

The food here is amazing! We decided to visit this restaurant due to the amazing reviews it received — and this place definitely did not disappoint. For appetizers, we ordered the«Rock Shrimp Ceviche» and oysters. We ordered the oysters due the«$ 1 Oysters» during Happy Hour(we went on a Friday, around 5−6pm). The oysters were SOFRESH and SODELICIOUS! They were probably one of the most fresh and tasty oysters I’ve had in my life. The oysters came with yummy cocktail sauce and a mango sauce. The«Rock Shrimp Ceviche» was also amazing — especially the citrus-flavored shrimp and the pico de gallo. The ceviche also came with a crispy banana plantain chip, which was also a great addition. For our meals, we decided to share the«Paella del Huerto». We decided to share because the plate is HUGE(definitely shareable between 2 – 3 people, if you get appetizers or sides). The rice flavor was amazing, and the mussels and clams definitely tasted fresh. The chorizo and chicken were also delightful, and the chorizo was particular spicy. It was definitely a great main dish. The restaurant itself is modern and stylish. What I really like about the restaurant is how they post by the bar where in New England the clams and mussels come from, which shows how fresh and local the food is. The service is also great and our waiter was very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Providence, RI area craving a great Latin seafood meal.

Stumbled onto Red Fin while attending the PVD Art Fair on my birthday. We had the Manchego/Serrano sandwich, Fish Tacos and a plate of oysters. Though the fries were mediocre, everything else was FABulous. Best fish taco I’ve ever had, and I’m a harsh critic after living in San Diego, land of the fish taco. Can’t wait to go back for the Spanish Octopus and fried calimari.

Came here for dinner while a few friends had been visiting from out of state. I stopped in here a month or two ago for a cocktail and empanada. Both were delicious, so coming here has been on my list for a while. Firstly, this menu is LARGE. Everything sounds great, but I was overwhelmed. Probably due to the fact Id been starving. anyways. We were greeted and explained the specials. The only one that spiked my interest had been the street corn. While it was probably the best thing we’d had all night, I was alittle sad about it not being on the cob. But its a messy dish so I understand. Id ordered one, and the delish empanadas, but we’d ended up recieving two. Empanadas were definitely undercooked even after we’d sent back the first ones.(SADFACE) Lobster Mac was literally bursting with flavors and it was overwhelming. Quite the opposite with the Pork belly, where it was lacking. Although it was cooked to perfection. Calamari was good. Onto the burger: the fingerling potatos were super yummy. I can eat those all day. The burger on the other hand… when it was placed it was an odd color. Id never seen a burger so… grey. The seasoning in this was salty first, then EXTREMELY peppery. So much so that we’d had to send it back. Server at this point looked visibly annoyed because now we’d sent back two items, and because of after dinner plans, we werent ordering a replacement. I read in past reviews now, that the burger and empanada is a hit or miss, so I am hoping it was just an off day. Im sad to say I didnt enjoy this experience. I definitely hope to change my opinion another time.

I typically love tapas restaurants but this one I found to be mediocre. The wine list is good, the food is over priced(even for tapas standards) the cheese plate of 3 cheeses was not impressive. Burger was undercooked and too much seasonings, to the point it overwhelmed the beef flavor of a burger. Service and atmosphere was nice. I probably would not return due to many other choices.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner and loved everything! We ordered the deviled eggs, brussels sprouts, octopus tacos(on specials list), fries, lamb meatballs, and empanadas. The lamb meatballs, fries, and brussels were our favorites — the dishes that impressed and delighted us! The lamb meatballs had the most divine spices — cinnamon?, the fries had a lovely truly spicy sauce with crushed peanuts which brought the dish together in a way I’d never tasted before, and the brussels were just to die for — cheesy, crunchy leaves and tender bulbs, and mushrooms I believe! The deviled eggs were lovely too with chili oil(?) on top, which made them unique and delectable but still classically delicious, but there were only three so of course the value is difficult to justify. The empanadas were good too, but more doughy than empanadas I’ve ever had before and paled in comparison to our other picks. And the octopus is what they are known for. I think the tacos were good but not being a huge fan of octopus to begin with and being from SoCal, these weren’t as out-of-this world good as the other dishes. We ended up saving about one third of our food for leftovers the next day, so we may have gotten a bit overzealous :) But I’m glad we did because I got to try so many of their offerings! We got so much food for our money — $ 80 for two people including drinks on special — and I was generally very content with the size of the dishes for the price(sometimes with tapas I worry the entrée priced tapas will be appetizer size)! For drinks we had the margarita special for cinco de mayo! The peach was delish, but the raspberry tasted a little like cough medicine to me, but you can’t beat $ 5 margs :) And finally Adam was our server and was fantastic! We were in a bit of a hurry and he made sure that we got our food and drinks very quickly and checked us out all within our time limitations and at the same time providing gracious, authentic, and knowledgable service! In summary, we were so glad we picked Red Fin Crudo as our one and only sit down meal with traveling to Providence(thanks Mike from The Dean for the rec)!

I’ve been here 2 times and let me tell you Best creative Latin inspired Kitchen I’ve ever eaten at. The ingredients are fresh and well executed. I’m a chef so I know when a chef or a kitchen cares a lot about what they push out of their kitchen. Had the Churrasco the first time and it’s by far the best Churrasco I had in the state. The chimichurri sauce was citrusy and smokey. Paired well with the spinach and the potatoes. I had the burger tonight and you can taste the meat was juicy and with so much flavor. The Carmalized onions to the manchego cheese were perfect. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try passion and heart to Latin inspired food. Great Job.

The overall ambiance here was casual and cool. Our waiter was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We did not try the drinks but did order several tapas and the paella. Our bill ended up being about $ 70 before tip. Oysters: They were fresh and accompanied by two sauces, one sweet and one spicy. Peruvian Fries: The fries were well cooked(soft, not crispy), but the winner for me was the absolutely delicious sauce. Pork Belly: Although I am not a fan of pork, this dish was very decadent, and my husband couldn’t stop raving about it. The charro-style beans on the side were wonderful. Gyro Meatballs: The plate came with three meatballs topped with a small dollop of tzatziki and onions. I was not a fan of these, but my husband loved them the most out of all the tapas. Paella: Served in a hot pan, this dish came with seafood, chicken, and chorizo. It was seasoned well and very filling. Even though we ordered the smaller portion, we still took half of it home. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner and try a lot of small, tasty plates.

Divine dinner!!! Started off with the yucca poutine… oh dear, this was amazing! The yucca was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! I ordered the churrasco steak and my husband ordered the RFC burger. Both were delicious! Our server, Jake, was awesome and was just as excited about the food as we were. Highly recommend it!

Boy oh boy. After hearing my boyfriend’s sister in law rave about this place for a for months I decided to give it a chance. Didnt know what to expect since it seemed to be a mixture of different cuisines. Lets start off with the best part: EMPANADAS. These were amazing, the meat had so much flavor and the crust was perfectly crunchy. They were so good, we had to place a second order(especially since they only come in an order of 3). These are a must try for sure. As an app we also tried the rock shrimp ceviche which had a great balance of citrus with the pico the gallo and crunch with the crispy plantains. We also ordered the Spanish octopus and chorizo en vino. I did not try the octopus but my boyfriend said it was great. The chorizo I did try and also loved especially with the red wine reduction. For an entrée we split a churrasco which was delicious, perfectly juicy. They has a delicious drink of the day– passion fruit doli. So good I had 2!

So great to have this adorable addition to Providence. The interior décor is a quirky mix of industrial furnishings and bold colors. The restaurant was much bigger than it looked from the street, and they happily accommodated our last minute reservation of a large party. I loved that the host asked about food allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking; as someone with a few food restrictions, it gives me peace of mind. I really enjoyed my guava-based cocktail, and my friend’s bourbon lemonade was strong! I’m vegetarian, so I ordered the asparagus, carrots, and mushrooms to share. The asparagus was delicious though the bread under it was a bit soggy by the time I got to it. The carrots were fairly spicy. The standout was the mushroom dish. The mushrooms are delivered fresh every week. Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods, and that may have been my favorite mushroom dish I’ve ever had. They were juicy, tender, and amazing. I was tempted to order another order to go. My friends also especially enjoyed the sausage, steak entrée, and fried chicken entrée. My friend appreciated that they were happy to substitute spinach for asparagus with her steak; the chef seemed very flexible. They had a number of vegetarian and gluten free options available. It seemed they could accommodate most dietary restrictions. Our server was really nice and the manager came around with a free sample of some thing(it had pork and gelatin so I didn’t try it, but my friends liked it). I appreciated that though they gave us one bill, they were happy to split up the check for us. Between the delicious food, numerous menu options, and great service, we’ll definitely be back!

Went there for dinner, first time. The waiter was just wonderful, friendly, nice. After reading over the menu we decided on a few items… here’s my take on them: — Empanadas de Picadillo had a tasty filling, but our 3 empanadas had undercooked pastry /dough. Not terrible, but they should had been fully cooked. — Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico were good. Kind of small, but tasty. Really could not taste much of the ham, but overall not bad. — Peruvian Fries were a bunch of fries(about 15 – 20 of them) on top of a yellow aji tartar sauce. They were a bit too heavy… too creamy for our taste… not a favorite. — Fish tacos were good… but nothing to write home about… I’ve had better at chain restaurants. Overall the food experience was OK… not rushing to go back. Some of the food stuff was not a good value for the price nor the flavors(my humble opinion)… We noticed(from where we were seated) that the cooks in the kitchen were not wearing hairnets nor hats… also as we were leaving, the manager made a quick eye contact but did not say Bye nor Thank you. The bartender on the other hand was friendly and said Good Bye.

Went to red fin last night with my son and his friends. Made reservation for 730pm for 5 people. Arrived at 740pm and was asked to wait as they needed to put the table together and it wasn’t crowded that night. There was s big birthday party behind us. We ordered 5 small plates and 1 paella(V) to share as a start. We had someone in the party allergic to milk and seafood so we tried to get the dishes with cheese on the side. Food review first — most of the dishes were wonderful. The calamari dish was ok. Some pieces were saltier than others. The smoked beets were good and I usually don’t eat beets. We had spinach and Brussels sprouts as well. Service — this is where I have qualms on. First, they took the wrong order down. We ordered the jamon from the tapas menu, we got the jamon from the special plates. When I told the server it was the wrong order, she wasn’t happy. Since she didn’t take our order, I’m not sure if she was unhappy with us or the waiter who took the order. Either case, it showed. Then they missed an order of the smoked beets. When the vegetarian paella came, there was cheese on it. I told the same lady who served us the jamon, she said the waiter thought it was for a single person. I asked for a new plate and she was unhappy about it. First said it will be another 25 mins, then said it will be another 30 mins. I decided to take the plate with cheese and order another plate without cheese. We then ordered another 2 dishes and that’s when we found out the waiter did not take our order of smoked beets. Then we were told that they were out of the octopus dish and it was sold out. That’s 40 mins after we placed the order! Wouldn’t they know they were running out before that? The waiter said they need to prep the octopus for 15hrs. How’s that relevant? So we got the calamari instead and it was so so. Some pieces were very salty. Finally the bill — it was wrong. They charged a dish twice and missed another. Sad. Go for the food if you can handle this type of service. I probably will give this a skip next time.

This is quintessential Providence. Eccentric and local fare, friendly and and casual atmosphere. I’ve been here a few times and except for a few minor kinks of a newish restaurant(slightly undercooked rice in one of my dishes), I have really enjoyed my meals. I’m sure the dishes will change with the seasons, so I’m excited to keep coming back. The standouts have been the Brussels sprouts with sherry glaze and blue cheese, duck confit The only thing to be aware is that it can get busy and a bit loud.

The oysters are delicious! They’re only a dollar during their happy hour. Service was attentive but I think he could’ve explained the menu a little better or gave suggestions etc. Also it would’ve been helpful if they told us about happy hour only reason I knew was from Unilocal. I think it was way too overpriced for what they’re trying to pull off. I mean a few tapas &2 drinks shouldn’t be over an 80 $ tab btw two people lol. Crispy pork belly was okay but they legit only gave you 2 small pieces. Sauerkraut with was nice but the pork belly wasn’t even hot enough in the center, could’ve been cooked longer with a more crisp. Other dishes weren’t that memorable, ceviche was just a few pieces of shrimp thrown with arugula or some kind of greens, definitely not $ 14 worth. Calamari was pretty good though but you could get the same thing somewhere else. Also they didn’t have octopus, how is that not prep before dinner service? We were the first ones there… Anyways 3 tapas, 3 drinks & some oysters came out to 80 $. Needless to say those are 3 beers not mixed drinks!$ 7 tap is kind of crazy, one tap &2 red strips for $ 17 lol. 100 $ spent & still walked out starving. We wouldn’t mind paying this much if the food was crazy good but I don’t think there was anything special about it. We Ended up going to Providence Oyster Bar after. Had more oysters & delicious lobster rolls for only $ 60 with a few drinks… Just saying this place is overpriced for what you get. Try Bocado for real tapas!

I can’t even begin to tell you all of the amazing things that this Masterchef has done with the place. Here’s what my friends and I ordered: Small plate: Octopus(literally like butter, most amazing octopus I have ever eaten), deviled eggs, duck scotch egg(you’re missing out if you pass this up), and their chicken wings. Dinner entrees: Meatloaf, Mussels, Lobster Mac and Cheese EVERYTHING was amazing — All you could hear from my table was«MMM» for 15 – 20 minutes. Our«Rhode Island Comic Con» themed cocktails were just as good. Go here.

This gem is in a convenient location right in the heart of downtown. There are several high-top tables outside, and in the bar area. There are also cozy tables tucked away in the back of the restaurant. The environment is friendly and the bar area is perfect to sit if you are looking for a more lively dining experience. The service is efficient, knowledgable, and catering. We ordered the Croquetas de Jamon, Picadillo Empanadas, Colas de Bruselos, and the Pork Belly. All to share of course! All of the dishes offer a perfect blend of spices, crispy texture and fresh herbs to pair the savory aioli sauces. The Pumpkin Bread with Caramel Bananas is a perfect way to satisfy your autumn craving for sweets. The Triple Chocolate Ganache cake is sinfully delightful. The fresh and artistically crafted quality of the food, seasonal specials, and great service, will bring me back for another great experience

Our first time in downtown Providence, and we wanted to try something new so we opted for Red Fin so we could get a few small plates to share. We went around 7:30 and it was empty inside, with a few tables occupied outside. We opted for outside as well to enjoy the little bit of summer left. Our server was very nice and helpful with suggestions! We started with the red wine sangria. Pretty standard, but I wish they put more fruit in the glass. –Brussels sprouts with pork belly and gorgonzola: really great flavor from the pork belly, and I love that the outside of the sprouts were crispy! Gorgonzola was a bit too strong, but if you like this cheese, you’d love this dish. There was a lot of oil at the bottom of the dish, but hey pork belly fat is nothing to complain about! –Tricolor cauliflower with mushrooms: I love the different colors and how this was presented! The cauliflower was roasted nicely and it came with some sort of limey vinaigrette at the bottom that added a nice touch. Oyster mushrooms were sliced thinly and were light and crispy! –Paella: best shared between 3 – 4! There were only 2 of us, so we couldn’t finish it especially with the other 2 dishes. This paella was a little more saucey than I’ve had at other restaurants, but it was a good change! They load it with mussels, clams, sausage, and chicken. Seriously, you will get something with every bite. We ended up with a generous bill, but all the dishes were well worth it! Their portions and quality justify the price. **Come for happy hour $ 1 oysters ! Friday(&other days possibly?) 9 – 11!

Was visiting friends in the RI area so we came here for a girls night on a Saturday on a friend’s recommendation. There were 6 of us, no reservations but we were seated promptly. Staff is very friendly & efficient, great service. Nice casual but fun ambiance, great vibe. Just super, super nice people. Food was delicious. We ordered a bunch of different tapas for the table to share: Oysters, Queso Frito, Papas Bravas, Chicken Empanadas, Wings… everything was delicious!!! Looked great & tasted even better. One of the Chef+Proprotiers Jenny was absolutely wonderful and sweet and was checking on each one of her tables/guests to ensure they were happy with their evening. We had a birthday girl in our group so Jenny brought her over a glass of sparkling Rose on the house & we got flan. Wonderful experience, loved the place, and will definitely go back whenever in town again.
