I’ve been to Rebel twice now. Once on a Friday night and another time for NYE. The music was great both nights. The dance floor is a decent size for the place. The drinks are mixed well. The staff is friendly enough for a busy bar.

I made my first appearance to the rebel bar last night… Although I’m not big on cover charges, it is well worth it. The place is full of life and fun !! It has a great dance floor and awesome lighting effects… The staff is fast efficient and friendly and make excellent drinks… A fun place for partying and dancing the night away. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or anyone local who just wants a fun night out???

I like it here. My boyfriend and I went one Saturday night and also spent New Years Eve there as well. Each visit we had a descent time. The strobe lights are awesome, DJ was good and atmosphere was upbeat. There’s a section where you can order food and eat, sit at the bar, or dance. The dance floor isn’t very big, so on New Years Eve everyone was in each other’s way. Bathrooms are on the other side of the dance floor, so you need to maneuver past everyone in order to get there. Not the best thing when it’s jam-packed with people. Expect a cover charge of $ 10. There’s a place to park, downside is you need to pay. But at least you’re in the heart of downtown, not driving around the city to then find a spot and walk half a mile to your destination. I’d be here more often if there wasn’t a cover. I usually don’t stay in one place all night, so having to pay to get in makes me feel obligated to stay and one of the last places I’d go. Overall, check this place out if you like Whiskey Republic, enjoy a more lively atmosphere, and don’t mind paying a cover.

Service is bad, I cant even say it was slow but more like no one seemed to pay attention or care or notice customers… Food was not good.

Amazing venue and good music. WORST bar service I’ve ever had. It took 25 minutes for us to get a drink while the bartenders chatted and my sister couldn’t even choke down her Margarita. She took one sip and left it at the bar.

My friends and I decided to visit Rebel after grabbing dinner at Bar Louie. We were the first people there at 10PM on a Friday night, but we enjoyed being tucked away in a corner, talking and drinking until it picked up around 11. The waitress was very nice and attentive and the drinks were delicious. Not very strong, but delicious. We also wanted to do shots so we asked the bartender to make something fruity with vodka and he sent over blueberry lemonade shots that were great. Once we realized that none of us were slightly buzzed after 2 – 3 drinks and a shot, we decided to head out. I would probably come back for drinks again if I was in that area — I love the atmosphere and the staff!

Waitress was nice enough but an idiot. Didn’t write down any drinks then messed everyone’s order. The margaritas were made with orange juice and vodka and the Moscow mule was tequila and soda water. There are three tables outside yet they have a full bar so everyone just is breathing down your neck and we were sitting in the dark. Not even one candle. Was jealous of the people at Bar Louie.

This is a great addition to downtown Providence! RiRa was a great bar but it was just the same old stuff you’d get anywhere else. Rebel has been transformed into something completely different. The food is what stood out to be as I didn’t expect a lounge/nightclub type of place to really rock my world with the food but wow! The sliders were some of the best i’ve had in the city(2nd and 3rd to Harry’s and Ruth’s Chris). You have to try this place out!

On a Saturday night was planning to go to bar Louie but it was really dead so we decided to check out this place. It was over all a fun night. The music was ok, they played a variety of music to Bön jovi to beyonce 7⁄11. The crowd was great, the bartenders were quick but drinks were weak. They had a thing that sprays out paper confetti from the chandelier. Nice surprise. Fun times.

Someone should let management know that lying to and discriminating against certain patrons isn’t necessarily a great business model. Telling those waiting in line that it’s «one in, one out» only to then allow others(men and women, non-«VIP») to cut the rest of the line and go straight in doesn’t send a great vibe to someone trying out the bar for the first time. If you’re gonna try this spot, make sure that you have VIP or are friends with someone that works there. Or else, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nice lounge in the spot where RiRa used to be. The space looks and feels more much open. The menu is very much Lounge fare. Cocktails, Beer, Wine and a large selection of appetizers and light bites. No steak, no pasta, no big entrees here. Everything seems to be catered to the crowds that come for sweet libations and light fare.
