Go to neighborhood pub and restaurant. I wish they had more varieties of beer, but I still love the place. Try the Bibimbop, burgers, garlic fries, clams or oysters.

Great food, friendly place, specials on Farius nights, draft beer collection covers all the bases and changes occasionally. Small place, 10 tables and only about 12 seats at the bar, so waiting is not uncommon. Burgers are better than almost anywhere, I love the sweet potatoe fries here but no where else, they are served with spicy mayo, very good. Fun during sporting events.

EVERYTHING here is absolutely amazing! My husband and I are frequent customers, like, we come here once, maybe twice a week(its that good!)…What is really great is that the food is always consistent, I can always count on knowing what I order will be as delicious(or better!) as the last time. The wings are probably the best in town, the feta attraction is to die for, and you can’t beat there dollar oyster Sundays! The staff there is also so wonderful! They are extremely welcoming and just all around a happy crew. Love it here!

The Ivy is the best low key burger spot in Providence – hands down! I am always hard pressed when trying to decide on what to order, because everything here is good. Personal favorite is the Goldenburger, but the Bibimbap is also out of this world. The beers are very well priced so it’s also a great spot to sit and have a drink, it can get busy when there’s a game though so definitely consider that if you’re trying to eat fast. The staff here are also incredible, everyone is super friendly and accommodating. This is definitely a must try if you’re looking for a solid meal that isn’t going to break the bank and will fill you up.

WINGS… ARE …AMAZING… Get either or, they will equally be amazing… or do both and split between 4 friends and get another appetizer to share… Crispy, sticky… sweet…spicy…mmmmm they are oh so good. While a bit pricey, about 10 something for 10 wings… totalllly worth it when you’re in the mood for some bomb ass wings on a random ass Tuesday night. or any other night for that matter. I enjoy beer and they have a nice selection. there’s a drier Irish cider that I like to get down with, with those sweet n spicy wings. Place is small, so if you’re coming there with more than 3 people and yourself on a busy weekend night… be prepared to be disappointed and standing awkwardly???

Been wanting to go here for a long time. Took a chance on a Friday night. This tiny treasure was packed, but we only waited a few minutes before we were seated. We were greeted immediately, and ordered drinks. Good size. Well made. We ordered Korean spiced wings and garlic fries for apps., and short rib bibimbap for dinner. The wings were bomb: crispy, saucy, and they came with coleslaw(brilliant!). The fries were outstanding. I don’t think they’re hand cut, but they were cooked just right, and that roasted garlic sauce is amazing. Loved the bibimbap, but I wish I had read beyond short rib, because now I’m disappointed I didn’t get the spicy pork. There’s always next time. Great dinner, great service, and fair in price. So happy I finally made it here!

I have only picked up food here, and when I get home the«Accidental Purist»(gardenburger w/grilled apples, caramelized onions, melted brie, tomato marmalade & mesclum) is incredible. It should cost about $ 15 but somehow is only $ 8.50. Best veg-burger I have ever had.

Enjoyable. They don’t have the biggest beer selection but what they do have is decent. I agree that the garlic fries are great, and I liked my fish sandwich BUT because the fish was on the thin side it was a tad dry so I had to wash it down with beer to make it a bit more palatable. That’s too bad as the other ingredients on the sandwich(bacon, pickles, etc.) were excellent. I’d go again but only if I was in the area, due to the just ok beer selection and the just ok fish sandwich. The garlic fries though, yum…

This is a great neighborhood dive. I came here for a quick burger a couple of weeks ago late one night. My burger came out quickly and was delicious, and the laid back atmosphere was perfect for what I was looking for. It is pretty dark inside and I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I’ve ever experienced, but if you’re looking for something very casual or just a dive bar to grab a drink, this is a sure bet.

This is a great place. Terrific service, atmosphere, beer selection & martinis. Just wish it was bigger inside. I’ve only eaten once here, the wings are to die for.

I went here yesterday with my boyfriend and it was phenomenal. I ordered the bibimbap and he ordered the fish and chips, both of us were really really happy with the experience. I can’t forget to mention that we ordered the garlic fries which were amazing and we almost managed to finish them all! The drinks were really strong and the bill wasn’t too horrible at the end of the night, I definitely recommend coming here and I plan to go back as soon as possible.

Friendly staff, lots of bottled beer to choose from and a cozy atmosphere. The bar only sits around 10 people, but I’m a fan of the quaint atmosphere. I didn’t order anything to eat but the food seemed good based on the orders I saw coming from the kitchen. I recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

After hearing so much about their burgers, hubs and I decided to finally check them out. Place is cool, somewhat dive bar feel, décor is mostly sports themed, but of yesteryear, lots of old boxing posters, Ted Williams, old hockey stuff, etc. The menu was very intriguing, usual pub fare of apps, burgers, and sandwiches, but sometimes with a twist(garlic fries, bibimbap, kielbasa dog). The whole menu looked really good and I had a tough time choosing, but decided on the burger since that is what I had heard about. We decided to start with the onion rings which came with a chipotle mayo dipping sauce. They had more of a breadcrumb batter to them, which was surprising, but they were hot, crunchy, and delicious, especially with the sauce. My husband got the fish n chips, which was delicious. I feel like most fish n chips specials nowadays are just good fish with mediocre fries, but both were equally tasty. My burger was big, cooked to a perfect medium rare… and just a burger. Was it the hype? Perhaps. It was tasty, but nothing earth shattering, and I felt could have used some seasoning. I went simple, cheese, lettuce, and tomato to try and get the full flavor of the burger itself and regret not going for one of the others offered with extensive toppings(chili, bacon, onion rings, etc.). Everything was a bit on the pricier side too, although the amount of food was perfect. Will I go back? Yes. There were lots of other sandwiches that looked really tasty that I’d love to try, and everyone keeps raving about the garlic fries so I need those too. But I can’t say this will be a regular place on my food rotation, and I can’t say I’d jump to get the burger again.

Great local bar with the best burgers. This hole-in-the-wall will truly surprise you. Lived on Blackstone Blvd for a year before I tried out this spot and now it is my favorite place to go when my ‘gansett and burger cravings get the better of me. The place is totally no nonsense, it is not trying to be or pretending to be anything. It is a cozy bar with quick service, straight forward menu with quality fresh food… did I mention their burgers? Oh, and the Mir hot stone bowl is, as many other Unilocalers have written, delicious! This may not be the place to take someone on a first date, but it is a great place to meet up with friends and hang out drinking and snacking for an hour or two. There are a few great local bars in Pvd and Ivy’s us surely one of them. Eat Well Providence.

Pros Fries are delicious. The BEST garlic fries in the world. Fish sandwich is delicious. The greatest fish sandwich you’ll ever eat Atmosphere is cozy. So comfortable Cons Don’t you dare order the Korean dishes. Bibimbap is the grossest thing I’ve ever eaten. Disappointing because I love this place. Just take it off your menu, guys. Seriously.

Loved it! I sat at the bar, watched some tv and had had a fantastic burger(Ivy Burger) that was made exactly how I ordered it, garlic fries and a cold drink. Service was fast and friendly and I was left to enjoy my food though drinks were quickly refilled. The restaurant and bar is a little on the small side but I easily found a seat at the bar and no one seemed to wait very long. I’ll definitely be back.

This unfortunately is not a review on the bibimbap, which everyone seems to rave about, despite Ivy Tavern being a pub. Instead, this is a pleasantly surprising review on the overall ambiance, the friendly staff and the services. I came here with a few friends to share a few drinks after work. I tried one beer(keep in mind, I’m a scotch guy) and I was so not into the beer that I just left it aside, barely sipped. The waiter had noticed this as he was walking by, and gave me another type of beer free of charge. Of course, my friends happily gulped down my beer, but I thought that was very nice of the establishment. The overall vibe is fairly generic, which isn’t bad or good, but I really don’t remember many details. Next time, I’ll try the bibimbap!

This is a friendly, low-key spot to get some pub food. You aren’t coming here for the atmosphere, you are coming for the food. We started with the seafood chowder and it was OK. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good. I had the turkey kincade sandwich, which is basically a turkey reuben and it was really good… but not as good as the garlic fries that came with in. Man, those are good. I still dream about them. My husband had the bibimbap and he stated he could pretty much eat that every day for the rest of his life. Two fans here. We’ll be back.

I still love the Ivy. I still love their burger. It’s just… different now. The owner changed and with it, the staff. I really miss the old crew — they were part of the charm of this place and I sincerely miss those Manhattans. There’s nothing wrong with the new guys, as they’re perfectly nice. It’s just missing the warmth and charm of a familiar crew who knew the menu and your order inside and out. The burgers are good, but I have found myself venturing off that side of the menu and trying some of their new offerings. There’s a Korean influence at play here among the standards, and their hot pot? Pretty good. I wasn’t crazy about the beef on it, but it was hot, the rice was crisp and the veggies fresh. On a less-healthy day, I went for the Polka Dog which was awesomely outrageous and delicious. Smokey kielbasa, gooey provolone and tart sauerkraut on a very buttery and good roll. It’s scrumptious. So yeah, they Ivy is good. Is it my first choice when dining out? No, but it’s a fine place with good food. If that isn’t A-OK, then I don’t know what it.

I’m confused. In such a lovely way. I have breezed thru The Ivy a number of times thru the years and I’m always pleased. A few new twists lately are very intriguing tho. The salads have always been large and have more in them than u would expect. The burgers are borderline legendary. I had Duck Tenders there once. Amazing. St. Pattys? Outstanding CB&C. Great beer selection. The confusing part: BimBap. In the stone pot. And it was great. Korean? At The Ivy?!? I guess so. I had the Unilocal Check In free soup. Seafood chowder. Very well done. I will be returning soon;-)
