This is a nice lunch place if you are visiting Prosser! The BLLT sandwich was delicious! The chicken and rice soup and caesar salad combination tasted homemade. The service is good. Clean, pleasant restaurant with fresh food! We were pleasantly surprised!

One of the worst meals I’ve had in quite some time. My companion ordered a buffalo chicken blue cheese salad that was supposed to have kale, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli slaw as the base for buffalo chicken. It was 100% iceberg lettuce. When asked how everything was, she said it was nothing like the menu described. The waitress brought a new extra bowl of the «correct» greens and she ate that instead. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich that was absolutely 100% NOT pulled pork. It was like pre-​formed, processed «riblets» that were chopped into pieces and thrown in an overly sweet high-​fructose corn syrup and tomato ketchup sauce. I ate one or two bites, then abandoned ship. The pickle was delicious. The beer was good and well poured. There was a good tap selection. But the food is atrocious. The waitress was sympathetic and helpful.

Food was great. Service was fast and courteous. Had a French dip that was great. My father had and untraditional rueben sandwich that he really enjoyed.

Food was okay but as we and three other groups entered the restaurant the staff was hanging by the kitchen chatting with one another ignoring the customers waiting to be seated. We waited twenty minutes for a menu and longer for our drink orders. Customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority for them. I don’t need to ever go back.

We just went there for the first time as we don’t live in Prosser. We will be back! We asked the waitress for her recommendations… she was spot on! Their mixed drinks rocked! The food was outstanding! We were to full for desert but they looked wonderful!

If you go expecting quaint based on the name, it’s not. None of the charm you would expect from 1896 is to be found here, rather the feel is more cafeteria.
The food wasn’t anything to rave about either & I wonder if the prices were to cover the amount grease on everything. My husband asked about their bleu cheese dressing & was told it was something they got from their supplier rather than being house made. But at least they didn’t try to pass it off as their own, it wasn’t all that good.

Yes, the food seems «overpriced» as people have stated on here. Everything in Prosser is overpriced. Actually, the price is what I expect from places in Prosser. The food is tasty, they have a huge beer selection, and all the servers I had were great. I see some people on here complaining of slow service but I have never had that. However, I never went when it was super busy. Their patio is dog friendly (the only place in Prosser) which is nice. If you are traveling with your pet it is a great place to stop for a beer and a bite to eat. If you do have a beer have someone else drive. The cops sit outside bars looking to pull tourists over, so be careful.

Awesome food. Had the Prime rib dip and their Prosser Peach drink (yum). Sat at the bar and Jeremy served us. Started out with his mom and she is a doll.
Great atmosphere and decent prices for quality food.
We’re really happy this family has added a great place to eat in Prosser and look forward to supporting this local business.
Found the wait time to be comparable (or faster) to any other sit down dining experience.
There’s a McDonald’s and Burger King by the highway if you’re in need of fast/​cheap food

This place had horrible food and very slow service. It took 2 hours to get our dinner, and I had to return my steak because it was way over cooked. I would never recommend this place.

Took a couple clients there for lunch on the front patio and ordered burgers and beer. The place is really well-​designed and managed by good people. The food came and it was perfect. Great burgers awesome french fries and cold refreshments. The staff was friendly and took good care of us.

I’m not sure why this place got all these bad reviews. I thought it was really good. The service was prompt and I was greeted the minute I walked in. Monday night, dinner hour so it was fairly busy both inside and out. I sat inside by the door and no one was ignored everyone was greeted right away. I thought the prices were good too, $ 4 for a pint — good deal.
I had veggie pizza, YUM! A great crisp crust hard to do on a veggie because they throw off so much water but it was perfect! the greens on the dinner salad were fresh and crisp, even tho it was iceberg (bore) it was a nice side salad.
All and all a Good spot — I’d come back if I lived here– give it a try.

The food for what you get is overpriced and for being there on a Saturday with a small lunch crowd the service was just ok with some problems.
Stopped in with my family and sat outside on the deck which was great. They gave us a table but it needed cleaned up still. The person seating us gave us menus and took away the dishes and said someone would clean the table and your server will be right with you. Well neither of those 2 things happened. We sat there and waited, another couple came in after us and were seated next to us. A server came out and asked if they had been helped or not and promptly took their order, we watched and waited some more. We had a conversation about leaving and going somewhere else but decided to stay. Finally someone came to ask us what we wanted to drink, we said we would order our food. We ordered a kids pizza and kids burger and one each the burgers of on the main menu. The kids pizza was good (3 stars) the kids burger was bad, the meat patty was a strange color different from our burgers and we realized it was some kind of cheap mystery meat patty, looked like half meat half soy/​veggie with a strange color and we tasted it and it was not meat.
Our burgers were ok, just overpriced for what you get. It was the thinnest beef patty I had ever seen on a $ 12 burger, the same for my wife’s $ 13 burger. The bun/​roll fell apart on both of our burgers, too light of bread, although fresh. The plus side of things, good beer, the bacon on my burger was good and the fries were good too. Overall with the table not cleaned, (we wiped it with baby wipes ourselves with all of the free time we had waiting), slow initial service, mystery meat kids burger, and cheap beef on the other burgers we would not come back, even with the deck and nice weather it isn’t worth it.

Good beer, good food, and great service!!! Do I have to say more… Jeremy has done a remarkable thing since the last time I went in which was only a few months ago. The selection of beer was on point and the new selection of items on the menu was very appealing. I suggest their pastas, shrimp scampi, as your meal. My waitress, Stacy, did an awesome job with my refills and bringing my food in an appropriate time and manner. Way better then my previous experience. This place ROCKS!!!

Went back today. Much better service. Faster, efficient, attentive. I am a lot happier this time around than the last. Good job on getting your collective stuff together.

Arrived at 5 – 10 past the hour, ordered our food, it didn’t arrive until ten til. Places sometimes get busy, I get it, but when we asked for our food to go before it even got to the table, staff’s apologies were halfhearted and they didn’t offer anything to compensate us. They could’ve comped our drinks or even brought some to-​go cups so we could take some soda with us, but no, we got a big fat zip for having our lunch hour wasted. A bad day is a fluke, indifference to customers is a systemic problem.

7 of us went there for lunch, ordered sandwich’s and salads, took an hour and twenty minutes to get our food which was of very poor quality, each paid about $ 16 even though 3 of us had food and water. I do not sugest eating here and none of us will again 9÷25÷14

My mom and I went to eat here while on vacation in the area. We were ignored for over 20 minutes before we got up and left. I understand if the three servers were overwhelmed but they could have at least acknowledged us. This really pissed off my mom and it was the low point of an otherwise pleasant trip. Go anywhere else.

Jeremy is a great guy who will treat you like family. Unfortunately, Yv***e treated us like we had ebola and I am not sure why she is a server. The price point of the burgers and quality are greatly out of sync. Our burgers were cooked to death and for $ 13 it was very disappointing. The beer taps are the best from the Tri-​Cities to lower valley. The wings are great and pizza is good. Jeremy will fix the small stuff and we will be back after a good while.

Food wasn’t very good, service was pretty terrible and it’s not cheap. Wasn’t worth the trip in my opinion.
