Well, I just walked out of Señor Pancho’s. At least I got free nachos with my drinks. After being the second customer in the seating area, and thirty minutes passing by, I decided it was too long to wait and walked out. I usually think the food here is okay, but it is going downhill fast. It’s typical CT Mexican food, which means I can cook better from spice packets from the local Big Y. But, if you came to my house, I would not ignore you and not let 30 minutes go by without an explanation, apology or free drink. I felt ignored as everyone who came in after me got served and I was being nice to everyone I came into contact with. So disappointing, it actually makes me sad.

My boyfriend and I live right around the corner from this place so it is our go-to place whenever we need a hearty meal. The food is good and the staff are very friendly, especially once you become a regular.

Been going to this Prospect location for years and have never had a bad meal or any complaints. Hands down the absolute BEST Mexican food around. The manager here is a pro at what he does and it shows on the rest of his staff, excellent customer service! The beef fajitas are delicious as well as my favorite dish called the«chihuahua», also the best chips & salsa anywhere! Highly recommended.

Best Mexican food around! Favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. The salsa is always a great start to the meal and they’ve got amazing fajitas.

Best margheritas on the rocks anywhere around. Lots of vegetarian options. We love Señor Panchos. Service is super friendly. Oh and the salsa is amazing. Great place to take the kids too.

We sat at the bar I ordered a patron margarita it was made with house I saw him make it. We ordered 2 fajitas and got 2 burritos… The worst service and messed up orders and it was only 4pm I wonder how bad and lazy the staff could be at a rush hour dinner … We will never go back to this place again. This place sucks!

Good place! 4 of us had dinner, all dishes were very good and a good size, no one went home hungry, we all brought home leftovers. Drinks were good but just a little on the weak side for me. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful. It was my first time there(visiting friends in the area) but I would visit if in the area again.

Went here with friends, given a table quickly, or server was attentive and got our order in quickly. I had the chicken enchiladas and the meal was good, but the rice served as a side was a bit dry. Others ordered the tacos and a quesadilla and were pleasantly surprised to find decent mexican food in Prospect. Easy location to get to with ample parking, might not be the most authentic food but a great place to have in town.

I have been coming to Señor Pancho’s for as long as I can remember. I have been to almost every one that is opened. The staff is super friendly and the food is great.

A few years ago, the menu seemed to really come alive and it seemed as though they were making an effort to incorporate more traditional Mexican dishes that weren’t smothered in sour cream and cheese and actually tasted pretty good. However, the food is generally all over the place as far as quality goes and it has definitely been on a downward trajectory as of late. A recent visit saw me get the food I ordered about five minutes after I ordered it – which completely destroys any illusion that it was freshly cooked. Our server was also non-existent after the food came out – so, about 10 minutes after we arrived. Although I planned on having another drink and maybe ordering more food, when the busboy asked«Do you want the check?» I decided to take him up on his offer. After waiting patiently with our uncleared dirty dishes for a lengthy time, we got the wrong check and then a nasty look from the busboy when we pointed out the mistake. The convenience of this place and the pretty nice patio have always made an occasional visit worthwhile, but with food and service like I received recently I’ll pass.

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Food is outstanding and in good weather, the patio is fantastic. And do not miss their Sunday brunch. Outrageous.

Pretty good average Mexican restaurant. Very friendly staff and quick service. Drinks are good and chips and salsa are always coming. Were here about twice a month. One time my meal got messed up and I was given beef instead of chicken(no big deal) when the waitress saw she insisted on giving me a new meal. I had already ate half and was full. She insisted on making me the correct meal and gave it to go. I took it for work the next day. I’d recommend this place. Good outdoor seating, clean, and friendly staff.

I went here this past Friday with a small group of people. We decided to sit outside because the weather was amazing, and because it wasn’t crowded at all. After getting our menus we waited at least 10 minutes until we were able to put our drink orders in and despite us all being ready to order our dinners the waiter did not ask us or wait for us to say. We then waited at least another 10 before the drinks came out. They had a second waiter give us our drinks and we asked if we could order but we were told they would get our waiter to do that. 10 minutes later our waiter comes and we place our orders. The food took about 45 minutes to come out after we ordered, and again they were probably only at about 50% capacity if even that much. The food was good though. Chimichangas were solid, cheese enchilada was really tasty and beef taco was yummy as well. They also seem to have fresh homemade salsa that is really tasty. Their chips seem to be pre made but the salsa made up for that. Overall, I’d say there’s a lot of other options in the area and because the service was subpar at best and the prices were a little high, I’d probably pass on it next time I have a mexican craving.

The service seemed slow/poorly timed considering it was empty. I had veggie fajitas & they were excellent. Another person with me did not get what they ordered & asked about it very nicely & they did not offer something else.

This is a regular meet-for-dinner-and-catch-up spot for a friend of mine and me. The atmosphere is just a little kitschy, the food is solid if not stellar, the staff is friendly, and they are pretty patient with us because we tend to stay a long time and just about close the place. As I’ve written in other reviews, I’m simply not qualified to evaluate the authenticity of Mexican cuisine. There does seem to be a lighter hand on the peppers at Señor Panchos. At our most recent visit, I ordered a mole poblano. There are a *huge* number of variations on that theme, but this was by far the least spicy poblano I’ve ever had. It was flavorful and tasty, with a hint of sweetness that came as a surprise. Since I’m always curious about what any given chef’s idea of a mole poblano is, that surprise wasn’t disappointing. For others, expecting more of the heat of the namesake pepper, it very well could be. The last couple times I’ve missed the mariachi combo. I hope they’re still around. They definitely raised both the kitsch level and the fun level of the place. The wait staff is basically good, but they can be uneven. We’d finished our(very tasty) margaritas and my friend ordered water. Our waitress sailed off to get it before she’d asked if I wanted any. She came back quickly and was off again… and within sixty seconds a *second* waitress, who’d noticed there was only one water glass on the table, brought one for me. I think they’ve changed the menu in the relatively lengthy gap since my previous visit. It’s simpler now. I wonder if they’ve changed some of the recipes as well. With its convenient location(for two friends trying to find a halfway point), tasty meals, and very drinkable margaritas, I’ll be back.

Been there a few times. Not very good. They had one in Cromwell also closed down this place isn’t really worth from overpriced meals to having to pay for sodas which is unheard Dont Waste your time
