We love The Cove! It is a fun, casual place to eat and drink for couples, friends or families. The vibe is awesome, the pizza is great and so are many of the apps. My favorite app is the soft pretzel — it comes to your table pipping hot and with just enough salt. Order this with a side of the Cove sauce which is better than the cheese sauce. I also LOVE the Rock the Cazbah pizza and have to force myself to order something else on occasion. Drink prices are good($ 6 for a nice pour of Sauvignon Blanc) and they have a decent beer selection. On weekends they have acoustic music, and there is a pool table there too. It is a bit loud at times but that is because everyone having a good time. We went there last night and had a great experience with the staff. We left after dinner, both of us stopping at the restroom first. When we got out to the parking lot, two servers and the owner’s wife were out there frantically looking for us. I had left my RayBan sunglasses on the table and they ran out to find us and return them. I was really touched by their extra effort. Summary: great atmosphere, great food and great people!

Good burgers, prices are reasonable, atmosphere is awesome, and the service is great! Love their terriaki wings. Great watering hole to relax at after a long day.

My beloved friend came to the suburbs to hang out for an evening. That’s true love, friendship, and dedication all wrapped into one. After walking into the bar’s door, my friend proceeds to tell the gracious bartender that this is a superb townie bar. He beams visibly when we ooh and ahh about the interior. I began snapping pictures to record our experience. It should be noted that the bartender and his brother have great eye for detail. The fireplace looks like a Georgia O’Keeffe painting come to life. Various originally signed album covers prove that the owners have musical range when it comes to bands. Glancing left and right inside this bar makes me recall my first encounter with David Lynch. There’s that Midwestern normalcy coupled with paradigm busting originality. It all seems a bit macabre too. My friend and her husband are the original hipsters; they are nothing like Silicon valley self-brewing pale ale crowd. This bar has the same authenticity. We are given enough privacy such that we can eat, drink, and be merry. If you find yourself in small town Minnesota, you should visit this bar. You won’t be disappointed.

Wings were awesome… Homemade ranch is always a plus! The stray cat burger my husband ordered was amazing! My daughter got the California burger which was really good & my son got the classic burger(he enjoyed it but I didn’t get to try his in time b4 he gobbled it up!). My firehouse burger was a bit on the dry side even though I ordered it to be cooked medium. The jalapeño bacon on top was way over cooked but somehow my burger was still decent! I can only imagine how good it would be cooked less! Everyone else’s burgers were cooked perfectly! Our waitress was really nice! We will definitely be back again!

We used to come here every Friday night for dinner… That is until service went to hell. The food is no longer nearly as good as it once was, and the wait staff is not very good either. We will never come here again as the last 3 visits were awful

The Cove is a hidden gem. Taking inspiration from another review I’ve read, this restaurant/bar’s décor feels like you are hanging out in your best friends cooler older brother’s basement. Tons of awesome music memorabilia and they always play awesome music. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and friendly. The icing on the cake is that the food is awesome! Their menu focuses on pizza, appetizers, and hamburgers, the menu isn’t huge and overwhelming and that means what they do have is done well and is wonderful!

The burgers here are fantastic! I went basic and just had the California burger but can’t wait to go back and try a different one! Cold beer and a burger, what more do you need?

For what it is, I dont think they could be any better. Service was good, food came fast and was hot and crispy. We got the jalapeño egg rolls which were awesome, and sweet potato fries, the dipping sauce was great. Burger was good, not the best I’ve had, my boyfriend liked his buffalo wings, not the best ever, but solid. We were here on a sunday afternoon and it was dead, which suited us fine since we’re not into the bar scene. I would imagine this place gets crazy on a friday or saturday night in the summer.

I love this dive. It’s a Cheers type of place. I sit at the end of the bar sometimes — just like Norm. Play pool, listen to live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Great food for such a small place. Just wine and beer though.

This place is a hidden gem!!! Came here for the first time a month ago and were pleasantly surprised! Had wings and burgers. The dry rub wings are awesome and the burgers were even better. If you like spicy, the hand made egg roll jalepeno poppers are great! Hand made fresh patties and fresh hand cut fries! It’s hard to find quality fresh food and this place has it. Friendly staff, unique music world décor and a menu that is fun to read with all of the word play. Definitely recommend giving The Cove a try!

I’m officially in love with this place. It’s a total dive, but definitely clean enough to satisfy a clean freak like myself. Giant ice cold beers. The nachos were fantastic. Live band was amazing. I couldn’t even wait to get home to write this because I’m so happy about finding this place in our new neighborhood.

We discovered this quaint family-owned pub this fall when the Prior Lake Pickleballers all decided to stop in. They were super accommodating about letting us rearrange tables to fit a pretty good-sized group. The only things we’ve tried so far are the pizzas and beer, but they’re both outstanding and pretty reasonable. Good parking and a friendly wait staff. The owner stopped by one night to thank us and make sure everything was top notch.

Excellent burgers! One of the best we have had here. Their sweet potato fries are also really good. We always get the Nat King Cove. Great service. I have yet to try their pizza which is said to be amazing.

Went there today on our way home and ordered three items from the menu. First came the cheese curds. They were wonderfully done and came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Secondly, there was the chicken nachos. The chicken was quite juicy and the cheese and sour cream they loaded on the nachos really brought the plate to perfection. Of course, olives and jalapeños came on top, not my favorite but I gave the whole dish a shot. After the three of us ate half of the nachos later, which came on an enormous plate, our group decided that the nachos were really a rare deal! Lastly, the pizza came out. We had ordered the 6 pack at 14″. Thin crust, an excellent array of toppings and 75% of the pizza later, we were more than satisfied. The whole group was quite pleased with the food and beverages that The Cove had to offer. If you’re ever in Prior Lake passing by The Cove, I would, without a doubt, recommend stopping in for a bite to eat here.

Had the barbecue pizza – very good, nice and crispy thin crust. Service was good and atmosphere is unique, but not in a bad way.

My last visit went like this: Overhearing the neighbor table ask for a glass of __wine. Waitress«Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t know why that’s on the menu. We don’t carry it anymore.» Customer: «Ok, how about this one?» Waitress«we just ran out, I’m sorry». Customer: «You know what, I’ll just take a captain coke.» Waitress: «I’m sorry, we don’t have hard liquor». My turn: «I’ll have this special»(baileys advertised on a print ad on the table. Waitress: «I’m sorry — I don’t know why that’s still up. We don’t have Baileys anymore». After our meal… My sister«I think someone dumped beer in the ketchup bottle». Me: «it’d be great if a pizza could be cooked evenly»(half-burnt)

I showed up to the Cove around 9pm on a Saturday night. The live band was just starting and the place was hopping. It was weird at first since I hadn’t visited this place but once since it was Laker’s Restaurant in the 80’s and 90’s. There have been a few business in here since but this one actually seems like it is built to last. A few of the highlights: –Dive bar without being grimy or slummy –Hip music club without being pretentious –Fun menu that matches the music theme. Some of the best burgers around –Reasonable prices –Friendly wait staff –Pick up bait next door in the morning before heading out to the lake and come here for a burger and brew after coming off the lake. –A definite asset to Prior Lake.

It’s a Dive Bar but REALLY good pizza, the 12 inch is enough for two people. The fries are greasy goodness and the jalapeño bacon is FIRE in your mouth. I would pass on the appetizers — had the calamari — it was a waste.

I’m giving a 3 based on the all the meals my family received. My husband had a huge burger(I can’t remember the name but it was a double burger and he had his choice of two cheeses). He said it was great. Cooked right and loved the sweet potato fries. My 3 year old had the mac & cheese which was an ample serving and was served with potato chips. She nearly cleaned the plate, so that means it was good. Though I’m not sure she’s ever met a mac & cheese she hasn’t liked. I had the Phish sandwich(walleye) which I wasn’t thrilled with. I LOVE walleye, and living in Denver now it’s a rarity and a treat for me. This was far too breaded and fried. The fish itself was fine, but I prefer a light breading. This was too crispy for my taste. I had sweet potato fries and they were great. I have specific dietary needs and the Cove doesn’t offer salads, which would be my preference. I know I could order my burgers or walleye without a bun, but there also wasn’t a non-potato option for a side with the sandwiches. Because I’m on vacation and have access to foods & restaurants we don’t have in Denver I’m eating a few things I really shouldn’t, though I still try to do my best to follow my dietary needs. Great beers on tap, great music and a fun environment. Bummed they were out of free kittens :)
