I had Teriyaki Boy for the first time today. I called in a delivery of lightly breaded chicken and dumplings, along with a green tea(also came with white rice, a small salad and 4 sauces, one of them being an extra spicy mustard I ordered). Despite the fact that it took about 70 minutes to get here when its advertised that 60 minutes is the longest they take, the food was honestly pretty good. I don’t know what sauces it came with, but they were all delicious. The reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because it took 70 to 75 minutes to get to a place 2 miles away, and although the sauces were delicious they were all in a small container and took up about a 3rd of it. I almost ran out of all of them completely by the time it came to eat the rice. Overall, I spent 15 dollars on the food, delivery and tip, and I am full and happy. Definitely will be ordering again soon.

Extremely generous portions for great prices but the food quality could be better. I ordered the chicken teriyaki combo with vegetable tempura. The vegetable tempura was ok(the batter was subpar) and the chicken teriyaki wasn’t very flavorful and difficult to eat since the chunks of chicken were big unlike how they serve it at Sarku. Given the other options at the food court, I would probably hit up this place 8 out of 10 times if I had to eat at the food court. Not fully satisfied with my meal, but it did fill me up for a reasonable price.

Worst Food Court food ever — go elsewhere. Having a hard time understanding where all these good reviews are coming from. .5 star for having«edible» food .5 star for friendly cashier Got the House combo & beef teriyaki. Fried teriyaki fish = gross & tasteless, couldn’t eat it California roll = again tasteless, missing cucumber & falling apart Beef teriyaki = really tough meat

Solid takeout food. I’ve only gotten takeout from this place, but have never been disappointed. My go to orders are the chicken teriyaki plate with spicy tuna instead of California rolls and the chicken udon. The portions are huge and the prices are cheap. Only downside is their delivery can take some time. They usually take around 30 – 45 minutes to deliver, but the last time they took 1.5 hours. Definitely not consistent. Overall, recommend for cheap Japanese takeout.

It’s located in the Princeton Forrestal Village shopping plaza. For under $ 10, I got rice, grilled salmon, 6 pieces of a salmon skin roll, and salad. The sushi is not bad, the rice isn’t stale and salmon was cooked well. They have a a lot of different combos available for the person that cannot decide between teriyaki, sushi, tempura, or udon.

Visited here for the first time and I’m in love. I live in the Princeton area and wanted some quick-fix Japanese food for lunch so I decided to give Teriyaki Boy a try. Good location, great service, excellent prices. TB is located in the Princeton Forrestal Village shopping plaza, a quiet and pretty center tucked away behind Salt Creek Grille off Route 1. If you park in the parking lot, walk past the fountain in the middle of the plaza and find a set of stairs leading you down to the indoor food court, where TB is located. I called for takeout and my food was ready by the time I arrived there 10min later. I’m impressed by their efficiency and friendliness. The lady who did my check out accidentally mixed up my receipt with another and was very apologetic about it, quickly fixing the mix up. I ordered the squid tempura on rice with squid sushi for only $ 7.75 after tax. I got A LOT of food for the price… my takeout box was stuffed full and quite heavy. It was really, really delicious. It didn’t taste as unhealthy as Chinese takeout, but it was just as flavorful. I got a surprising amount of squid pieces, each was crunchy and chewy with yummy teriyaki(?) sauce. The sushi wasn’t the prettiest looking but it was satisfying. The combo also comes with a mini salad. I’m already looking forward to going back for more lunches. I know some may disagree with my rave review, but I can’t resist cheap, flavorful, well-portioned Asian food! Definitely check Teriyaki Boy out.

Do you like Japanese food? Are you from New Jersey? Are you a Princeton student who is pretending to be poor? If you answered yes to any of these than Teriyaki Boy is for you. Food is actually fantastic. Excellent value for your or your parents money. Try the combos. The only downside is that it’s in a food court.

Cheap and flavorful. Delivery took around 45 minutes. Definitely brings back memories of the Teriyaki Boy that was located at MarketFair.

Tucked away in the 1st floor food court of the Princeton Forrestal Village, this place is hard to beat for fast food value sushi. Does a brisk and very efficient lunch trade — mall like cafeteria style seating with the rest of the food court stores, so 0 ambiance. They do enough volume that their fish is fresh. You can see their menu at . Good choices include the Cherry for $ 10.99, and the Shogun(32 pieces — feeds 3) for $ 25.99. The Teriyaki Party Tray($ 55) is largely fried food, but a crowd pleaser for a big party. They also have decent Udon and teriyaki dishes. They do deliveries to the local area($ 15 min), but I’ve found them to be pretty slow. This is an independent review. I have no relationship to this store, nor to the best of my knowledge, know anyone who works there.

Always reasonably priced for good food. My fav is the salmon teriyaki and udon noodles. They’ve moved from Princeton market fair to forestal village now… Hidden away but still same as I remembered it.

They never fail to satisfy me! Teriyaki Boy is the only place I go for my sushi. The staff is great and super generous and always finds a way to put a smile on my face. I tell everyone to go there to get good sushi!

I placed an order through the and received a confirmation email with a number. The order never went through, my card was charged, and the Teriyaki Boy manager said there was nothing he could do, even though we used his companies’ website and gave him the confirmation number. He said that unless we faxed(not emailed) the order to him that they wouldn’t deliver any food. So now I have to call my credit card and cancel this order and will never order from this company again!

This is in a food court — in the middle for Princeton Forrestal Village. I’ve been there 3 times for lunch. It seems to be the big favorite amongst the groups I’ve met with. There are about 8 different places to get food — and people seem to gravitate to Teriyaki Boy. The sushi is made to order and fresh. It isn’t gourmet like one would get in a sit-down restaurant; but a lot better than what I’ve had at airports. Basically exceeded expectations for a food court — and prices are reasonable.

I’ve had a long history with Teriyaki Boy. For the price in the area you can’t beat the quality. The staff is always courteous and helpful, and the food is out quickly. I usually come in the evenings, but they do a very brisk lunch business with the surrounding office buildings. My personal favorite is the squid teriyaki with squid roll; large pieces of squid cooked until tender but not rubbery, delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of their platters. I also enjoy the chicken and salmon teriyakis. Their one weak point for me are soups, they’re not bad but just not as good as their other menu items. Their sushi is a little rice heavy, but it is also super cheap, so I can’t complain.

An absolute A+ for the Marketfair location… but not for their Plainsboro spot! The food quality has gone down, and everyone(including me) I know who enjoyed the last place at the Marketfair is very disappointed with how much the quality of the food dropped.

I’ve been eating Teriyaki Boy for years and although I haven’t resided in NJ for several years now, whenever I visit I usually have at least one meal here. My regular here is salmon teriyaki with salmon skin roll. Years ago salmon skin roll was the default with teriyaki salmon, but now the default on the menu for combos is California roll. I always specifically ask for salmon skin roll instead so I’m glad that honor that request. Wait time is usually short so it’s good if you don’t have a lot of time, yet the food is reliably decent and authentic, and I think relatively healthier than most food court options. The only thing that I can gripe about is that their prices have steadily increased over the years. The last time I went(a little more than a week ago) my regular salmon teriyaki with salmon skin roll came out to almost $ 10 after tax, so it’s not the most inexpensive place to have lunch.

I’m in town on business and I’m on my own so I thought I’d order some sushi for delivery to my hotel. I ordered online and it was relatively simple. I liked that that was an option since I don’t care to talk on the phone to people at restaurants since I don’t hear well. However, it look an hour to get my food, which I thought was a little excessive for a Sunday night. I ordered a house salad, a spicy tuna roll, a salmon avocado roll, and a yellowtail roll. The house salad was nice and big and the ginger dressing was very good. However, that ends the positives of my experience. Besides the long wait time, the sushi I got was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The salmon avocado roll was okay, but the yellowtail roll was fishy and the spicy mayo on the tuna roll tasted really off. I would NOT eat here again if it were free! Go somewhere else!

Doesn’t quite have the magic of the Marketfair location but I’m a fan nevertheless. Sad that the Marketfair location closed, I’ve found myself in Forrestal Village a few times recently enjoying this TB. It tastes close to the other location, but just slightly different. Still for less than 10 bucks you can get a delicious ‘fast japanese’ meal. Give it a go, don’t let the location fool you.

Pretty decent teriyaki for a food court location. They were able to cater for our 40+ group, and delivered the food right on time. Portions were decenty sized and the chicken teriyak wasn’t at all greasy. The meat was tender and lean, and nicely seasoned. It came with a side salad. They only downside was the over-fried gyoza. For the most part, the food was good, fast, and cheap.
