Terrible! Ed sold us a mattress with a «box spring.» Upon researching online reviews of the model I found out that it was a poorly made wood box. He also promised a frame that upon delivery never showed. I tried to discuss the situation with ED who was rude commenting that he did not care if he received poor reviews or was reported to BBB.

Oftentimes, large chain retailers get a bad rap. I get it — I’ve worked for such a retailer in my time and I see what goes on behind the scenes. The top down culture of such businesses is unavoidable and it’s unfortunate that us consumers have to deal with it and that the employees have to put up with it as well. I start off my review this way because I’ve seen HUNDREDS upon THOUSANDS of negative reviews on Sleepy’s. Rude and pushy customer service, awful return policy(basically they don’t have one), bad warranty, insufficient delivery, false claim on prices, bed bugs on mattresses, etc. etc. Our experience at this particular Sleepy’s didn’t live up to those negative reviews so for those of you in the market for a new mattress and in the Princeton area, don’t be discouraged by those reviews. Also keep in mind that people generally take to message boards when they’re unhappy v. super happy. This location was one of many we visited prior to purchasing our new mattress. Customer service was what we expected. They’re salespeople looking to make $$ so of course they’re going to act like salespeople and try to make a sale. However, they weren’t overly pushy and by no means rude. The prices… well… we were prepared to spend $$$$. You can certainly find mattresses for any price range but if you want the«best» be prepared to pay a good chunk of money. I think the bottom line is — don’t be afraid to ask questions, ask about the return policy and make them tell you they don’t have one(otherwise they won’t mention it at all), try ALL the mattresses and really invest time in which one you love, negotiate, don’t feel pressured to buy something THATDAY. Delivery Review: We scheduled our delivery between 8AM and 12Noon. We were expecting this to be an electrician situation where the truck pulls up around 2:00PM. However, we were pleasantly surprised to hear the truck pull in at 8:10AM! They weren’t white glove delivery people BUT they got the mattress upstairs, got us our paperwork, and were in and out in no more than 10 minutes. So for that — thank you.
