The service was a bit slow, but to be expected when there is only one server working the register, counter, and the floor.. she certainly made up for it with her friendliness and super nice demeanor. The breakfast omelet was very good, and the food came out quickly once it was ordered.

Not good! My first and last visit was today for breakfast. My boyfriend loved this place until today. He works close by and takes visitors and other employees here regularly. We waited as did others forever for our food. Another patron actually came over and said that she couldn’t believe how patient we were being. I ordered the ultimate omelet with city ham, no hash browns and dry toast. It was finally delivered with all the greasy butter it was cooked in– gag me! The server even said it was bad BUT we had waited so long and were hangry so there was no sending it back. My boyfriend asked for a dish and I poured the grease into it and blotted a lot of it with my napkin. As a side note, they added cheese that I didn’t ask for. My boyfriend ordered the Muddy Pig omelet with hash browns and was quite upset as he said it didn’t taste good like usual. I asked for hot sauce and was given their hot BBQ which tasted good but not what I asked for. . The tables were dirty, a table over from us canceled their order and the one rgt next to us up and left leaving the food there. We were comped his coffee and the cheese they added and charged me for but nothing else. How is this place open? Update: Was contacted by the owner who apologized and asked that we give them another chance so I upped my stars from 1 to 2– will update after we return

The most recent time we visited this restaurant, we found the obnoxious smell of meat rotting in the summer heat in the restaurant’s dumpster. Made it inside the restaurant to find no customers and a dining room full of flies dining on dirty tables. Food was good when they first opened, but this establishment has gone to pot.

Very generous portion sizes. Had the beef brisket plate for lunch with cole slaw and pot salad. Came with a slice of bread. Excellent service and mild BBQ sauce. Waitress was pleasant and patient with our group. Other guest had the pulled pork with pot salad and baked beans. Beans & pulled pork were great. Even better than the brisket. Would have gotten dessert but was to full to order that.

Lisa and I had a very nice meal at Muddy Piggs. Was hoping for quality BBQ and definitely got it. Lisa had ½ rack of ribs, baked beans and slaw. Pulled pork, baked beans and slaw was my choice. Ribs were well seasoned and had a lot of meat. When They came out, I wished that was my order. The pulled pork was tender, lean and fantastic. Hot sauce was awesome. Baked beans and slaw didn’t let us down. If your ever in Princeton, get Muddy with the Pigs.

I was on the mission for some BBQ in the Madisonville area, and I definitely found it. The BBQ ribs were fantastic, and absolutely ENORMOUS. I’m not talking the«yeah, they were pretty big» kind of ribs, this was literally most of a full grown hog. The sides were great too, as was the friendly service. Definitely worth the ride down from Madisonville.

Totally forgot to review this place until now. I was back in Princeton last September and gave the MP a try. I have placed it on my MUSTRETURN list anytime I am in the area. There is so much hype about BBQ that often one just gets overwhelmed. This place does it right! It’s not a big place, but it’s very friendly. I wish I could recall come of the other items our party ordered, but I do recall there was overwhelming«thumbs up» on everything.(No one said«Good» because their mouths’ were full). There are a lot of good BBQ places in the region, and his one ranks right at the top.
