It’s not currently a Citgo — it’s a Marathon.(Just so you know what signage to look for.) I stopped for gas, despite prices ranging from over a dime to forty cents higher per gallon than previous(or post) exits, due to fading daylight. While filling my tank, I noticed that literally every available remotely appropriate space to park a car(even at the next business lot) was filled, with everything ranging from junkers to family cars & trucks to luxury sedans… and when one car left, another circling car parked. And then I smelled the bbq smoke and made sense of the folks lingering inside… Gas is the side bit — BBQ is the thing! So, after I filled my tank and circled a few times to find a place to park, I went in to check out the food. Despite this being the definition of a hole in the wall, I got a serious case of «Please do fuck off, entirely!» from the person standing underneath the white — board food menu. She pointed me towards the gas station attendant, who was friendly and cute, but whose written order ended up getting me left with a pound of smoked pork and bbq sauce, when I’d actually ordered several complete meals(including sides and bread) and several extras and paid for same. She said, «It’s really GOOOD!» Except it was anything but. The food I was served by the angry woman who swore at me when I’d previously approached the counter to order was barely edible, turned out. Since she was clearly already not happy with me, when she shoved a closed bag at me, I took it(my fault). It was not my order. I got in my car and left, despite paying for about 500% of the food that I received… Admittedly, this was a choice on my part. But I guess they needed the 30 $ more than I needed a quarter of the week’s grocery money. What I was served was so awful(burnt bits of terrible, gristly, grossness), that I managed about a forkful, before giving up. The SO ate about a quarter cup, then complained about«burping Burger King» for the next three days. Great! Great Great-great. Terrible food combined with unspeakable customer service…(and their gas is not priced similarly to their competitors)… I see no reason to access services at this exit and feel bad for the folks who seem to think this is the only place to go on a Friday night.

Yummy open pit BBQ! Right off the fire. Gas is expensive here! 3.399 a gallon(1−1−12) head closer to I24 for cheaper gas.
