Wide beer selection and fair pricing, efficient and friendly check-out, easy and free to park on their private parking lot free of debris, etc. The point of improvement would be to have some complementary tastings to discover new products.

Not closed, moved a few doors down, now connected to grocery store. Very good selection, friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The McCaffrey’s Wine & Spirits store is a fairly classy shop for a liquor store. Not only do they offer a wide selection of beer and liquor, they have a variety of cheeses to match your wine, microbrews, and rarer single-bottle beers that happen to cost a pretty penny. This shop is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but their wide selection and friendly service can somewhat make up for the high price-tag. The best thing about McCaffrey’s Wine & Spirit is the convenience — it’s the only store in West Windsor that sells alcohol! If you have some time and don’t want to pay premium price you could always drive to the Bottle King in East Windsor or Joe Canals in Lawrenceville off of Rt. 1. However, McCaffrey’s Wine & Spirit is a decent one-stop-shop for all of your party needs. They have booze, snacks, cheeses, and anything else you could need for a gathering.

Smallish but healthy selection of beer choices here. Outside of the standard stuff they have a variety of good craft beers in both 4 – 6 packs and bombers. Off the top of my head I recall seeing Yards, Troegs, River Horse, Brooklyn, Founders, Weyerbacher, Allegash, Southern Tier, Dogfish Head, Lagunitas, and the like. Can’t really complain. Not as extensive as the selection at Joe Canal’s on Rt. 1 but a solid neighborhood place.

It’s pretty slim pickins for wine in Princeton Junction, but you can definitely do OK at McCaffrey’s. They have a decent assortment of global offerings, though some countries are better represented than others. Spain and Italy are good, but France is lacking somewhat. Pricing is a bit hit and miss, with some bargains, and then some bottles which seem a bit high. But then again, if you are used to California pricing, it’s not quite a fair comparison. They also have a separate temperature controlled room with special selections, and if you are wanting to drop some $coin$, you’ll definitely find some very nice bottles to choose from. There’s a small cheese selection available, buts it’s fairly ordinary and really just for impulse purchase. Much better to just go next door to the McCaffrey’s supermarket which has an excellent selection.
