Been going here for several months, so I have a good grasp on what I like and dislike.
PRO’S:
— Customer service — very friendly and fast
— Restaurant is very clean
— Easy-​to-​understand menu
CON’S:
— Terrible job with their chicken — — a lot of fat and ligaments — — need to take more care as I HATE biting into a hard piece of ligament or bone (yes…that’s happened).
— Fried rice is terrible — — trying to be nice here, but there is zero flavor. They need to get a new recipe
— Shrimp is not deveined — — gross!
— Shrimp is regularly overcooked. For anyone who knows shrimp, they understand how quickly shrimp cooks. 2 minutes tops! Anymore than that and you get tough/​chewy shrimp. Sakura’s has never gotten their shrimp right.
Hope you find this useful. And if anyone from Sakura’s reads this, please take it as constructive criticism. You do some things right, but the food is proving to be sub par for reasons I listed above.

Considering it’s a quick in and out type place, the food was excellent. I had the Hibachi Shrimp and was great. No complaints from me.

My husband and I thought the food was good. I had pho7 and he had a habachi chicken bowl. Fast service and the food was hot. We Ordered sushi for later. It also was good. The prices are very reasonable. We will be returning. For the type of restaurant it is we thought it is a very good value.

Customer service has tanked since I started coming here. Seems to be new people working the counter. The one woman wasn’t the least bit knowledgeable of her own menu and was very confused by my order. I hate places where employees don’t even know the menu. Food quality has diminished as well. Doubtful I’ll be returning.

We really like this place. They are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. The menu is fairly large for such a small place and everything I’ve had so far has been pretty good. The fried rice is a little weak, but the teriyaki chicken with noodles is pretty darn good. The beef tenderloin phở (soup) is very tasty and rivals some of the more expensive places in the area. The sushi is simple, but tasty. It won’t compete with a «real» sushi bar, but it’s good if you’re in the need for a quick and less expensive sushi fix. We’ve been going here about once a week for about two years and plan to continue doing so. The whole place (kitchen, dinning room & bathrooms) are exceptionally clean. Give it a shot, I think you’ll enjoy it.

I wish there was a 3 and a half stars.
Sakura is the best place in the shopping center. The food is fine but nothing to get excited about. Its what I call mall Japanese food. The price is right, the food isn’t poisonous. I order the Phở. For $ 7 and change its fine. The lady in front is always nice. There is never a crowd and the food comes quickly.
Southern Maryland is known for bad restaurants. Who would want to have a restaurant here to cook for people who need their hamburgers and steaks cooked over well done?

Can I tell you how wonderful their bowls are oh my god this food is so delicious I can hear every day of my life it’s so good and so fresh and the sushi is just beyond is just delicious my son is just a sushi fan and he can get anything he wants it’s a reasonable price

Aside from them stealing the name of a very reputable restaurant located about a mile away, the sushi and ambuance are sorely lacking. Good and fresh food take time and quality ingredients. This is a drive by.

Popped in to this «sort of fast food» restaurant and chose the «Salmon Lovers» from the big menu board in the front. They also have a reasonable hibachi menu if fried rice and noodles are more your style.
While the salmon had a bit of a fishy smell to it, it had the right texture and the right taste for sushi. I enjoyed it.
