What a delightful hands-on opportunity for kids! My child couldn’t wait to try each area and she was fully engaged. You could see how much time, caring and effort went into making such a creative place! Don’t let the mall location fool you, this is a non-profit organization run SOLELY by volunteers(some former teachers, some scientists, some artists, etc.) who wanted to give kids a chance to really experience the world and get excited about learning and investigating. What they are able to do with such limited funds is incredible. Future STEM enthusiasts will likely occur as a result of this great place. In addition to the weekend hours, they even have Summer Science Spectacular in July on Wednesday nights about all kinds of cool things like this year(2015) includes Nano World, Robots, etc. As visitors from the Phoenix area where we are also members of the Science Center and Children’s Museum, my child could not get enough of the more intimate, hands-on exhibits. If we lived in town, this is where we would frequent at least once per weekend. I can only hope that this amazing group will get a grant or are able to partner with an exciting organization that realizes how valuable it is for kids to be exposed, in a non-stress and playful manner, to these real-life concepts. If you go and see the value, please consider volunteering to keep this wonderful place going strong for many, many years to come!
