Sun Effects Tanning Salon

Cute little place. Always clean, most of the staff is friendly and their location and hours of operation are convenient. They offer a wide variety of products — anything from swim wear to lotions to teeth whitening kits. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because of their prices… Compared to other tanning salons, their prices on everything from tanning beds to spray tans are sky high. I wish they offered more options to alleviate the cost — such as, more value package options and/​or memberships.

A little put off by the inflexibily of the owners about time limits of tanning packages.
Other than that, beds seem clean.
UPDATE: After the third time of them telling me my tanning package had expired when it HADN’T, the owner/​manager told me that she wasn’t willing to correct a mistake that they insisted was mine and not theirs; I’ve had enough, and will no longer support their business. They seem like decent enough people, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the money.
Time to find a new tanning salon!

Great package prices! I’m very happy with this place! The staff is so friendly — sugar sweet! And the beds are great; there is a nice variety of pricing and quality, and even the lowest bed is still effective! The place smells great and sells lotions, eye protection, handmade jewelry and teeth whitening services as well! I’ve never had to wait long as a walk-​in, and the only time I did, they let me use an upgraded bed at no extra cost (from my original package with the basic bed) so that I wouldn’t have to wait. Great people! Convenient hours; they are open until 7pm during the week now. Got to love it! I’m a seasoned tanner with many years of experience and many different beds under my belt (good god that sounds bad!). I can tell you this place is a great bargain! You can’t beat it!
