Service was terrible ordered drink ended up having to get it at bar myself none of the wait staff was with it watched them ask every one that came in how many? Sit where ever you like… why even ask how many they could see how many our food was terrible soup was cold sent back sandwich cold wife’s broiled cod looked like boiled it was awful not same help brought food that waited on us one bartender jumped all over to wait on people while other two did little to help bad scene start to finish unbelievable these are the same People that own black Angus a good restaurant that we eat there often and always have good experience Blackhawk has the potential to drag the black Angus down the drain… when you drive by the building just look at the doors into the building primed residential steel doors looks like temporary doors after a break in suggest keep going! Kaber’s has been around since 1920 – and so has most of its interior. The bar area is huge, and the bar is almost shaped like an elongated circle. Dinner seating is to the left of the bar, behind a partial wall. Art deco-styled banquette/booth seating is available, along with several 4 tops. It’s a bit dingy, but after 80+ years you might be a bit dingy too. As with all great supper clubs, entrees include bread, salad bar and choice of potato. In addition, at Kaber you have a choice of soup or tomato juice. Obviously this is some sort of traditional thing; I’ll add what that is when I figure it out. Food is inexpensive and specials should be considered – $ 13.95 for New York Strip, for example. Good selection of beer, of course, and service is friendly although not the quickest.
