I do enjoy supporting locally owned businesses. Cedarbrook has been around for over 30 years. They are a smaller garden center in contrast to some of their local competitors. So, they don’t have as large a selection, but they do make up for that in terms of quality, sizes and unique varieties. The location has its own small parking lot. On busy days, you can park across the road, but the road itself gets quite congested. Being so land locked can make things a bit challenging for parking or loading up purchases. The garden center is showing a bit of wear, but their inventory is solid. Prices are obviously more expensive than some of your mass merchandiser stores, but when compared with other similar garden centers they are competitive. You can find some good purchases here. So, do shop. The staff is great! They have always been friendly, eager to assist and quite knowledgeable. As a garden center, they do distinguish themselves from their competitors by offering a small interior design studio and a beer & wine shop. They offer wine tasting and even sponsor wine tasting events with live music. One of these days I am going to have to try that as it sounds fun.

A very nice place. It’s always a joy to drive past Cedarbrook. I probably buy more(everyday) plants at Baker’s, but I come to Cedarbrook for something different, special, etc.

Attended a birthday party in the wine tasting room last evening. The event was wonderful, from the atmosphere to the wine tasting conducted by the owner. Cedarbrook is unique in every way. A must see.

This is one of those places that’s fun to explore even if you’re not buying anything. It’s beautiful and the people are friendly and nice. This place is like a plant zoo without intending to be. Me and my little boy walked through rows of plants I’ve never seen before and countless fountains and Fall décor. Beyond that was the interior design store that was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas with nice modern furniture. It made me feel like I was at a sophisticated Christmas party and made me wish I could decorate my home like that and have a party. Then there was a wine shop with little tables and a piano. There were samples of hot cider with a delicious spice mix that they sell and of a pumpkin pie liquor that was also delicious. The staff were very friendly and nice and one of them played with my son. I couldn’t afford to buy much in there but it was fun just to walk around. It’s a beautiful place and I’ll be back for some of the cider spices and pumpkin pie liquor. I discovered this by accident coming home from the zoo and went a different way to avoid trafffic. There was a sign about a corn maze so I stopped. It turns out the corn maze is just a loop of dried corn stalks with some of those animatronic halloween decorations along the way but but my little buddy still liked it and I give them credit for a good decorating idea. I recommend stopping in here some day just for the warm feeling it’ll conjure up in you.
