Love this place! Everyone is so nice! Our order is always correct. The favors are always amazing!

Today, after ordering my smoothie, I kindly asked the gentleman working if they gave a military discount. He answered saying «only if you’re in uniform.» I said «no problem, but we are not supposed to wear our working uniforms anywhere but work.» His response to me was «you should have joined the real military then.» Very offensive… Won’t be going back. P. S. The last time I was there a very nice younger gentleman gave me a discount with just my ID.

Great smoothies and one of the cleanest restaurants I have visited. Super friendly staff! If you see the old man working, turn back! Otherwise, you’re sure to get a great smoothie with great service.

Smoothie King is the best smoothie chain in the world! Stumbling upon this location today made living in California more pleasant! Jamba Juice has nothing on Smoothie King!

I’m typically a Ritas Italian ice or jamba Juice kind of guy but this place is starting to grow on me. You get greater bang for the buck than the other smoothie joints and the only thing I would say that made me give them minus one star is because their smoothies are almost too sweet for some reason and when i came last month, I gave them one of their own coupons and they didnt know what to do with it or how to ring it up. They asked me for a scan code and I told them I don’t know what you need but here’s your coupon. Management needs to train a bit more so that employees know what coupons are out there and how to work with them.
Would I come back? yes I would. There arent many options in Poway and this is one that at least fills the smoothie need when I’m in the area.

This is my new favorite smoothie place! Lately I’ve been going to Robeks cause I thought it was a lot better than Jamba. Now I’ve found Smoothie King to be better than Robeks!
Yes they are a tad on the expensive side, but you’re paying a premium price for a premium smoothie. Even the small is 20 oz which is a lot of smoothie, for just under $ 5. Whether you’re looking for a sweet and healthy treat, or a post workout shake, you’ll find something perfect because they have a ton of options. My girlfriend and I decided to share a king size green tea tango w/​mango, and we loved it! So much green tea flavor, so creamy, and the mango is the perfect accent flavor. We split the king size, which is 40 oz, into 2 smalls which are 20 oz each.
This is a premium smoothie place and I’d recommend it to anybody. Awesome customer service too. I’ll be back soon and I suggest you try this place out!

Smoothie King by my house closed so my son and I were very excited to find this one. When we came in today the staff was friendly & didn’t mind giving suggestions when I asked what was best for my 2 year old. We got 2 smoothies and a pack of gummy bears. The cashier even included my son on the purchasing process. We went to sit outside and my son dropped his smoothie & broke the cup! However the manager/​owner (not sure) saw it and came out took the broken cup and made him a brand new one! Turned his frown upside down real quick! We will definitely be back! I’m excited about our move to Poway now that we have found our new mommy & baby date place!

I’ve been coming to this location since 2005. Never fails. Much better smoothies than weak jamba (yuck) and overpriced robeks in utc (gross). Gingers rule!

But for seriously though, this smoothie king be the bomb. You think it be that way, but it do.

Located fairly close to the LA Fitness I go to on Poway… so it’s the perfect post-​workout treat. I ordered:
Angel Food (recommended) minus the turbolina. FYI turbolina is their natural sugar… so if you don’t care for your smoothie to be extra sweet, you can eliminate the turbolina… which eliminates 100 cals.
You can add random extras for 99 cents each. I added their fiber mix and multivitamin. They also have an antioxidant mix, diet mix?, and a few others! Delicious, healthy treat.
My only complaint… slightly pricey.

This place puts Jamba Juice and Robeks to shame. If you want a real nutritious smoothie, the King is it. Being a fitness enthusiast, I can definitely appreciate that they use a good quality protein and offer all the the essential supplements. You might be paying more, but you are also getting quality ingredients and a cleaner product than you would from any of the chain smoothie shops. I love smoothies more than anything, but I can’t bring myself to frequent a Jamba Juice or Robeks because pretty much their entire menu is just a big sugar/​carb fail. I first tried Smoothie King in Jacksonville Florida and fell in love. Imagine my surprise when I found out there is one in Poway. Now if only we could get one closer to downtown SD, I would be a very happy gal.

Delicious and fresh, great service, what’s not to love? And they have a wonderful selection of healthy snacks and really cool energy supplements I’ve never seen anywhere else before. The variety of smoothies to choose from is perfect. Nice variety without being overwhelming. I ordered the mango island or something like that. it was great! I will definitely be coming back!

Lean chocolate shake is thing to order. I order the small and it fills me up and gives me energy.

Jamba, Robeks, then SK comes last…

Medium for $ 6.49?! I know it’s huge, but still.
My blueberry heaven didn’t have a strong blueberry taste, and it tasted powdery instead of fruity.
I was lucky because nobody was in line and i was out of there in less than 2 minutes.
They get an extra star because they have friendly service.

I love this place… I’ll say it again. I LOVE THIS PLACE. My wife and I got off from work and called. They took our order over the phone and stayed open till minutes to closing. We literally walked in, got out smoothies, paid and left. It was great. The people are very nice and courteous.
Their shakes are a whole different shade of awesome. People waste time with yuppie fruit drinks but these are real smoothies. You can customize it to what you want. I’ve been building muscle so the Hulk is perfect for me after a long hike or a good gym workout.
This place rocks.

Pretty weak, I arrived there at 7:10 this morning (they are supposed to open at 7) and they were closed. I was walked back to my truck and some guy pulled up blaming his lateness on something-​I couldn’t quite understand. Being the nice guy I am, I said «it’s cool» while thinking hey-​this isn’t cool. I actually went out of my way to go there instead of my usual at Jamba Juice. Well it looks like Jamba will keep getting my business for the time being because they are always open in the morning when I arrive. Sorry Smoothie King-​it looks like you haven’t earned that crown, not in my eyes. Maybe some other day I will give you a chance. But not anytime soon.

First off, I’d like to say that I love Smoothie King. it’s my favorite amongst all the competing smoothie chains around. They carry a variety of flavors including exotic ones like Mangosteen and acai berry. I live in the SGV area where there are no Smoothie Kings, so I used to go out of my way to grab one whenever I’m down in the OC.
With that said, this location in SD is horrible. After a strenuous workout and bracing my friend to prepare herself for the best smoothies ever, we both ended up walking out of this Smoothie King empty handed and irritated beyond belief.
When we first arrived, there were a few customers ahead of us and at first I didn’t understand why they all were wearing sour faces… everyone just seemed so annoyed for some reason. I quickly learned why. There was only one employee working and she was probably the most incompetent worker I’ve ever seen (and I’ve had my share of incompetency). She had this one chatterbox customer who placed a large order (8 – 10 smoothies) and apparently had a word quota to hit that day because she kept talking and talking and talking and talking! She’d ask the girl about school-​her major-​the weather-​pigs flying… and whenever the woman would have a new random question, the girl would stop whatever she was doing to answer, as if she was incapable of doing two things at once. (God forbid if she had to chew and walk at the same time or something.)
This poor man was so close to leaving, but right as he was about to get his change, the girl retracted back and started chatting with chatterbox again! The man ended up just leaving his change behind and just furiously left. In fact, everyone was furious because there was still at least 5 – 6 orders left to be filled, plus Chatterbox’s large order! Meanwhile, my friend and I still hadn’t even ordered.
Finally, after standing around for so long, the girl took our order… and we thought it couldn’t be that much longer now. What was I thinking when chatterbox was still hovering around? We waited patiently for the first 15 minutes after we ordered… but after waiting almost half an hour, we turned into one of those sour faces I initially saw and gave up on these smoothies. Now my friend will never know how yummy Smoothie King is…
I won’t be back.

The smoothies were a little pricier than Jamba Juice and they were just alright but good lord were the mediums big. It took me an hour to finish it.
The good part about this place is it isn’t as hectic as Jamba Juice and you get served quick.

Another morning with a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant for breakfast, then needing to detox for lunch.
I work up the hill from this place so I’ve driven by it many many times. It sells itself as a performance smoothie place. Lots of performance enhancing add ons and mix-​ins. The shelves are stocked like a health food store and lots of running magazines laying around.
As for the taste, it was very light in flavor. Hopefully it also meant lighter calories.
If you’re a health nut, and not just looking for a fruit smoothie this is your place.
They take plastic.

Last week was my first time tasting this and before I ordered I read the reviews… a lot of them said this place was a lot better than JAMBA but for some reason I didn’t believe them… boy was I wrong.
THIS PLACE IS SO DELICIOUS! IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TASTIER AND HEALTHIER GET SMOOTHIE KING.
It maybe a little more expensive but it’s worth it.

I can’t believe this one has not been reviewed yet. Though not as well known in California, Smoothie King has a big presence on the East Coast. I like their shakes much better than Jamba or Roebek: in fact there is no comparison. There are no fillers in SK smoothies and that sets it apart. Also far more fruity selection. I used to go frequently to a SK after my workouts and the owner told me how SK franchise owners meet at least once a year to share their experiences, which I think is great even though it smacks a bit of Amway.
This particular store is tucked away in a sprawling Poway strip mall close to Henry’s (where our stuff has been stolen once [Yep, that’s Poway for you]) just off Poway Road.
Try from their extensive menu. I love their Grape Expectations and I don’t even like grapes. The Caribbean-​inspired smoothies are nice as well. The shakes here are substantial. The menu is protein and workout friendly: you can ask for extra protein (at a charge) and make a smoothie literally your meal. That’s what I used to do a few years ago.
