Super rude! Wasn’t greeted and then when we asked if our kids could sit with us with their smoothies from next door, the lady answers very curtly and aggressively that she doesn’t know what we want. Both my wife and I were like, «Whoa!» When we told her she was being very rude, she did nothing to remedy the situation, not even a simple apology. So, we walked out and will never return. Misunderstanding or not her behavior was inexcusable. Ala Turca(the amazing Mediterranean place next door) once again received our business.

Sadly, P&V has gone steadily downhill over the last couple years. I used to really enjoy this place, and was a regular. Finally giving up.

I was thoroughly disappointed by this place. The first time I went, I ordered the veggie lunch special and was not impressed. I decided to change my order and give it another shot — I ordered a pad thai dish — pretty much impossible to do wrong, right? Wrong. It was one of the worst pad thai I’ve ever had. It smelled fishy even though I had ordered a veggie pad thai. Disgusting. I can make a better one at home. The soup also looked and tasted super sketchy, like it had maybe gone bad. I will definitely not be returning here.

Wtf!!! This place is so awful! The service was dreadful, the food was so gross, very dirty inside and the owner didn’t care about anything he said he was moving back to Thailand and can’t wait. It shows he can’t wait. The food and service omg so so so bad. Do not come here you e been warned.

Moved to the area six months ago and stop in from time to time for their Thai iced tea which is pretty good. Unfortunately their food and service is horrible. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was so saucy and vinegary I couldn’t eat it… the chicken looked and tasted like small pieces of cardboard. Yuk :(

I used to LOVE this place. The couple who started it were this adorable young couple. The name is their initials And her Thai mom was always in the kitchen making authentic food. Pat, the husband, was SO chatty. He always remembered your name and came by to catch up. Then they had a baby and sold the business. Now? Nothing bad with the food. Prices are ok. Food is ok. Nothing outstanding. The complimentary«soup» is seriously a cup-o-noodle. I didn’t eat it after the first slurp. The fresh rolls are tasty. The rest? Blah. For the record, though, that bathroom is a cesspool. Check my pictures. I seriously don’t want to eat in a place that can’t wipe the black smudge off the wall around the light switches. Ew.

The Thai tea was extremely watered down and not as flavorful as it could be. The crab fried rice could’ve been better. There a lot of onions and it seems that it needs to be fried a not longer and maybe use a different type of onion to add a little sweetness.

I love P&V Thai! I’ve been going here for a few years now for lunch. I’ve called in for take out and I’ve also ate in the restaurant. The employees are really friendly and provide great service. I highly recommend their Tom Yum soup! All of my coworkers that have ordered food from P&V Thai have also loved it! If you love Thai food you will love this restaurant.

I’ve had lunch here twice. Both times, I got the lunch special with yellow curry and tofu. It is a very satisfying meal. It has a little of everything: soup, salad, wonton and eggroll and the entrée. I know some people say the portions are small, but for me it is the right amount of everything. The current owners are the third owners. I ate here when the original owners were here and never came back. I was told it had new owners, so I decided to try it again and I am glad that I did. The food is very good. The service is adequate. The owner is the server(her husband is the cook) and I think it is a cultural thing that makes her kind of quiet.

My mom and I tried this place out a couple months ago and I was so disappointed with it that I knew I would need to write a review. We went in for lunch and each ordered one of the lunch specials. I got the yellow curry with chicken and my mom ordered a different curry but I don’t remember which exactly. First came out the soup, which was a joke. It was small pieces of ramen(like top ramen, not real ramen) all crushed up and tossed in a watery soup(I think they might just use the top ramen soup packet to make the broth) and a couple pieces of some cabbage floating in it. It was horrible. There was also salad and an egg roll, which I don’t remember anything specific about. Then we got the food, which looked promising. My curry was SO watered down. Yellow curry is my go to order at Thai places. I know what it should taste and this tasted like an incredibly watered down version of what it should be. I think that they did that in an effort if save money, but it also made the quality of the food suffer enormously. My mom had the same problem with her curry. We had some food left over, but we weren’t offered to go boxes, nor would we have wanted it. I typically love to take none my leftovers for a meal later on, I really didn’t want this food for later. It was not a good experience. On top of all this, the customer service was lacking and we were not checked in on often. The table we were seated at was next to where the cash register is and window to kitchen and the floor was so dirty and covered in trash. I expect much more from a restaurant in terms of cleanliness and service. I prefer to go to pattaya in Carmel mt for my Thai food

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in San Diego! Chicken Curries and Tom Ka soup are my top choices. Delightfully fresh ingredients, authentic thai flavor and healthy without all the additives and fillers. The owners are a bit shy but very polite and accommodating. I always make substitutions to my liking and its never a problem. Great ambiance, very small inside eating area and a nice little outdoor patio with heaters.

Wow this unassuming little place will knock your socks off with authentic deep flavors and aromas and real spiciness … a 10 is a 10! The drunken noodles were heavenly and the green curry with its self described«greeny» taste(cute) was another fave I only wished it had more eggplant. Vegetarian heaven!

Tried this place out for the first time and there was really nothing that wowed me. I got the lunch special panang curry which included a vegetable egg roll, potato wonton, salad, rice and soup. I also got the cheesy crab wonton for appetizer. The side soup flavor kind or remind me of instant noodle with added vegetables so it didn’t really sit well with me. both vegetable egg roll and potato wonton lacked flavor and was somewhat good dipped in the sweet and sour sauce. Cheesy crab was also bland and was only better when i dipped it in sauce. I believe finger foods should be good by itself and sauce are just there to take it to another level. The panang curry’s spices didn’t really pack a punch of flavor like most thai currys in other restaurants so it was just ok to me. The staff there are friendly but ill need to dine in to really assess their customer interaction. Lots of parking in the area so no struggle there. Overall the restaurant was ok. Nothing that really stand out. There are other thai restaurant in the area but this I would choose last if i want thai food.

I had better experiences there in the past. After dining there today, I decided not to go back. The servers, a young girl and young boy were not friendly and not welcoming. The soup was cold and not good. The food was just okay. I looked around and especially at the counter area, not very clean. They definitely need to do some improving.

They have an outside patio is nice and sheltered from road noise and the staff is very efficient and friendly. The food was good, fresh and delightful. I highly recommend this if you enough Thai food. Today I enjoyed the vegetable soup with glass noodles and the fresh veggie spring rolls. If you like noodles and your veggie soup request they add a few more.

Delightfully surprised — Love Thai Food & have been wanting to try this place since it’s close to Home for me. Ordered take out: Som Tum(Green Papaya Salad) #5 on the 1⁄10 ratio. Farthong Pad Bai Horapa(Thai Basil with Pumpkin) again a #5. Spot on Delicious food with just enough spice to keep me sniffling & happy! Thank You for a wonderful meal that was very satisfying & pleasing!

Duck Red Curry $ 8.95 First impression: Ambience: chill, cool, gentle, cozy, wonderful décor, small restaurant Time: lunch away from work=lunch special, food came out within 10 minutes. Food: Ordered red curry with duck. You can choose your spice level from 1 being mild to 10 being the hottest. I picked 8 and the flavor was great. My tongue was feeling the spice on a medium level so I wasn’t snorting snot out of my nose. Perfect. It did tasted more of coconut milk. I’ve been here several times already and the curry tastes a tad different each time but it’s not a biggy to a point where it’s a hit or miss. I love how they add tons of vegetables and just the right amount of duck. The crispy roll and wontons is all right though. It’s so so, not my thing. The salad is topped with peanut sauce so beware for those with nut allergies. They are all a cup portion of each: curry, salad and rice with two fried rolls all on one plate.

I ordered the tofu spicy noodle lunch special level 6. And it was pretty good. The portion was a lot smaller than other thai places. The soup it came with was delicious. My friend ordered tofu yellow curry level 2 and the potatoes were super hard(undercooked). This place satisfied my thai food need while I was in poway. Not the best but pretty decent being that there’s not that many other options nearby.

Decided to try this place out the other day regardless of reading some of the bad reviews. My boyfriend and I wanted to find out for ourselves since we love thai food. Also this place is part of rapid rewards dining for Southwest Airlines if you’re signed up for it. I really enjoyed the red curry with chicken & the drunken noodles with beef. Both were very delicious. So if you’re here try them out! :) It is a small restaurant but it’s cozy if you’re into that and you can also sit outside on the patio.
