I am not big on writing reviews but after not only witnessing Robyn B’s outburst at the studio and now reading her untruthful recantation of the events I feel I must comment. My daughter started dancing at this studio when she was 3. She transferred her from another studio due to it’s laid back atmosphere. The other studio was a competing studio and the pressure was just too much for a 3 year old. This studio while it is not a competing studio is still ran with the same professionalism you would expect. They put on 2 wonderful performances every year. Kelley puts great thought into the placement of each girl in her studio. She looks at their age, abilities, NOT just how long they have been dancing. To say you have been dancing a year doesn’t necessarily mean you have acquired the skills. The girls also want to be placed in a class with their peers and not with girls several years older or younger then them. There are big differences between a 7 year old and a 13 year old. Kelley tried to move those girls into the appropriate classes and they were NOT the baby classes and instead Kelley was the one who was verbally assaulted by her. Whether or not the class was at capacity had no bearing on her daughter being in the class. I truly hope that you take the time out to check out this studio for your daughter(s). It is a warm loving studio. The kids all respect and appreciate one another. You do not see any of the cattyiness you often see with girls here. Everyone has a different personality, style, social interests and yet for the hour they dance they are together as one.

I have never written a bad review before, but I had such an awful experience here. I am still in shock over how my kids and I were treated. The owner, Kelley, is extremely rude, immature, and dishonest. I had put my seven year old in the level one ballet class based on the recommendation of the staff person who returned my phone call. As it turned out the class went over capacity and some parents(not me) were complaining. 4 weeks later the owner who had never met me nor seen daughter dance started yelling at me for putting an inexperienced dancer in the class. She said she belonged in a baby class and needs to change right away. When I politely told her that my daughter has danced for over a year and seemed to me to be at the same level as most of the other 7 year olds, she yelled at me about how she went to Julliard and what do I know about dance, etc… I told her I will take her out as soon as I get a refund for the rest of the month. She did end up writing me a small check, but it was not even half of what she owed me. Other parents who heard her yelling at me told me not to take it personally because she’s like that a lot. I have no idea why anyone would put up with that, but I certainly do not want my kids in that kind of atmosphere. In the end it worked out for the best because I found another place where the teachers are excellent, professional and loving.
