Patio seating was nice and they did have live music, but there weren’t a lot of beer options and a lot of the ones listed were «out». The menus need to be updated to reflect the new name too. Western burger was good and they have great fries!

Really bad etiquette from the owner today. Made us uncomfortable and harassed the waitress while we having our lunch. Other people coming into the establishment for other business matters, were treated unkind and seemed frustrated and annoyed with the service they were receiving also.
Our server was in tears when we left the bar. Not going back Bill… I liked the place during the holidays, but did not like the atmosphere this time we were in for lunch. Our drinks were weak and our soup was gone before the bread came.

Great atmosphere and local place to dine and hang out with friends in Poway plus the owners and staff are really personable and treated us well!!!
We also had a company party here and everyone still talks about what an awesome time they had!

Walking in, Blue Tattoo has the feel of a local neighborhood joint where the place goes quiet when an stranger walks through the doors. Fortunately that was not the case and my perceived notions were completely off base.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly and within moments, made us feels as though very comfortable for trying out this little hangout.
It seems as though they’ve got one thing or another going on pretty much every night, whether it be karaōke, trivia or a live band set up on their stage. Between these and the pool tables, there is pretty much something for everyone.
So the thing that surprised me was the extensive menu options that are provided. I imagined that there would only be your typical «bar type» food however they have everything from breakfast to appetizers to entrees. There didn’t appear to be a lot of options for breakfast (just the basics) but their entrée menu was quite extensive and I will say the Western Chicken was pretty good.
Plenty of outdoor seating available unfortunately with that, you get to sit among the smokers. Not that I mind that, I just don’t want to eat it.
All in all, I was pleased with Blue Tattoo. I was expecting a little more «divey» but not at all bummed out that it wasn’t. Definitely will return given the chance.

I really don’t want to say anything bad about this place because I like the people, but man it could use a Bar Rescue. I think I say that often, but this was definitely one of those places I could picture on the show. It just needs an update, it’s not bad or anything, I’m not saying that at all. It’s just… I don’t know. They could definitely use a sign out on the street to make the place easier to find (though «right next to the DMV» is an adequate description.
Anyway, I do hope this place succeeds, as there aren’t a ton of decent places to shoot pool, grab a drink, etc. in Poway.

I’ve worked in Poway for a year and just found this gem called Blue Tattoo. The menu had an impressive food selection at reasonable prices. Lunch was delicious! The bar setup is cool with the long horseshoe bar in the middle, plenty of tables, lots of TVs, 2 pool tables for billiards fans and good music playing. I’ll be back for lunch and happy hour in the future.

This place used to be called Blue Frog’s but even with the name change nothing else has gone amiss. The fish tacos are great! The atmosphere is nice and the service is always the best! If you are in the mood for something unique in Poway, CA then check it out. Oh, they also have pool tables too!

Great hangout place for lunch with friend or a beer after work! Owner Emilio is a really nice guy. Very personable. Pricing is reasonable for food and booze. I had the chicken sandwitch with house salad. Plain name but awesome taste!
Chill atmosphere not as crazy and noisy as some other sports bars. Gonna come here more often to kick it after work.
