Drove up from Bridgeport Ct for lunch today. Very classy restaurant with rustic interior. I ordered chicken Marsala, which came with mushrooms and a light brown gravy. Chicken was very tender. Came with a side of sautéed broccoli with garlic. A glass of Chianti and an espresso topped off a great lunch. Service was very professional. Hope to be back with my father.

Clams posillipo Blanca, bruschetta pesto pizza, cheese pizza, salad pizza, special risotto, fried zucchini and calamari, soft shell clams marinara, special wines from Italy by the glass, imported lemon sorbet, and daily delectable specials make this neighborhood restaurant a regular on our schedule. We have been a frequent flyer at this place for 35 years. The quality is high, flavor rich, and service excellent. Go for the specials as they are indeed so. This is not the place for the mundane Italian food although they do offer these dishes. The waiters are knowledgable, attentive, and experienced. Seafood is exceptional. The dipping sauce for bread is strong and delicious. We are routinely wowed by this favorite of ours. The place has an area for children and one for fine dining which is a plus.

Average pizza. Ok décor. Meh. It is the wilds of Westchester so not much pizza choice. Drive

My girlfriend was visiting from Italy and we both absolutely loved this place. It was really authentic. The service was great and the food was amazing. It’s hard to find zucchini flowers and this place stuffed them with mozzarella. It was delicious. We didn’t have a single complaint and at the end of our meal the owner came out to chat in Italian. Loved it!

How could a top calibre Italian Restaraunt in business more than 35 years in Pound Ridge be a disappointment when the cuisine is usually crazy good? A lack of attention from the front line servers and poor positioning of what’s not available. There was a wait for outdoors(perfect for outdoors that night) for a 615 time slot on a Friday night-that is fine for me, it’s worth the wait. After seating, the fabulous homemade bread and anchovy sauce to dip the bread came right over. Then things started going off the pizza train, there were some delays in the server taking our orders but observed their attentiveness with others who may be regulars as I am. I had frittura mista(calamari and zucchini), kale salad w Brussels and almonds, ravioli with shaved sausages and a homemade pink sauce(tasted like vodka sauce), almond crusted chicken scaloppine in a mustard sauce creamy with mushrooms and onions, a pasta with marinara sauce, 2 glasses of wine and a beer. *this was for 2. That dinner services was disjointed mainly bc there were delays between menu and bread until the time we ordered to the extensive delay between ordering a glass of wine until it arrived at the table. My point of contention was wanting to order homemade pasta and sauce with my chicken, the server takes the order then comes back informing me they don’t have any more homemade pasta but can give me a half order. The time delay at getting me this info took 10 min and he said they were slammed in the kitchen. So I ordered the half of pasta which the server proceeded to bring alongside the 2 appetizers. The main course came out too soon afterward. We hadn’t finished the apps. I intended the pasta as the main course. My big problem was the excuse«being slammed» when I counted 50% to capacity at 645 in the entire rest, running out of pasta, and not communicating clearly about alternatives, and too long between ordering and receiving drinks(wine and beer which I would have had more but for the lag). I would have been more inclined to adjust my order had I not received the feeling that the servers themselves weren’t slammed. Since I have been coming here on and of since it open more than 35 years ago and nearly weekly order my pizzas from them, shame on them for not spotting a regular, however, the overall cuisine under the owner of as many years has been nothing short of top notch Italian you’ll find anywhere, I’m chalking this to an off-night. And will follow-up in the future.

The food is incredible. This spot is so cute and quaint. Perfect for date night or family outing. The staff is incredible. After leaving my purse here, they ran out to the parking lot searching for me to return it. Our waiters both time were so sweet.

Echoing what many reviewers have said before, Di Nardos offers average, no fuss Italian food. It’s true the back room has a more fine dining feel than the front, décor wise, however noise travels very easily in this room and it feels as if you’re right in the conversation with the tables next to you. My favorite part of any meal at Di Nardos is the bread and dipping sauce, seriously addicting! They also make a pretty mean cannoli.

We ate dinner on Saturday night and were disappointed. For the prices, the food should be on a different level. I ordered the mussels and clams which were very expensive. Aside from that, the mussels were the smallest I’d ever seen(they looked like dots in their shells) and should not have been served. They clams were chewy. The service was OK. We were surprised at how empty the room was for a Saturday night but perhaps it is a sign that the food needs to be improved and the prices reduced to reflect the quality.

I am so grateful to this establishment. We have been getting take out pizza hand made to order by Eber for almost 20 years. Always delicious. So yummy. When we dine in we are always treated like kings and like family. The sauce is just perfect. The pasta is cooked exactly to perfection. Some of the more complicated dishes are very unique and special. We are never disappointed with DiNardo’s unless they are closed! Please never close!

Great food, very accommodating staff. Can’t wait to come back when I’m hungrier to try the fixed price menu. Excellent value especially for the area.

3 Stars for front 4 Stars for rear Sounds bad & makes no sense but the food served in rear dining area seems to always taste better. They will also make whatever you like-a true Italian ristorante!

Very disappointed, my friend and I drove up from Manhattan to have lunch and explore Ward Pond Reservation. We shared a large pizza and salad. For the salad we asked for the dressing on the side and they didn’t comply and the portion small. The large pizza was indeed large but although we were hungry we didn’t want to eat it. If your used to good Italian Restaurants skip this place.

Average food, good service, overpriced for the quality. Pizza isn’t served on the ‘upscale’ side. A pizza take out in disguise.

Since I share my birthday with Di Nardo’s, I’m somewhat partial to Di Nardo’s, but I can be objective. Always changing their seasonal menu, after 20+ years, never a disappointment. The eggplant parmigiana is still as exquisitely comforting and deep in flavor as it was when I was 4 years old. The pizza still has a beautifully thin crust, wonderful sauce and is one of my all-time favorites. But the formal dining room has evolved and is so exciting — as I’ve gotten older, and more sophisticated, so has the entrée menu! I love it!

This place is great no fuss quality establishment. Having grown up down the street from DiNardo’s I can attest to the quality and consistency. Always on a first name basis, this my parents go-to dinner spot especially during the summer. They have the best pizza around, good for pick up or eat it. The rest of the food is standard fare but made with care. The pizza is my fav along with the LINGUINEALFRUTTIDIMARE(Linguine prepared with assorted seafood in a light tomato sauce)

This is a very nice local Italian eat in and take out restaurant. I’ve had a few veal Parmesan dinners with a glass of Chianti and I’ve enjoyed them. It’s good enough for an enjoyable evening or lunch, but it’s still a take out pizza joint as far as I’m concerned.

Excellent NY style pizza served to us while we enjoyed sitting on the front patio. Service was excellent, the evening air was perfect, and I have no idea where we are :-)

A local favorite, offering different levels of experience in the front and back rooms. The back room is a first class Italian restaurant in an elegant setting and fairly pricey menu: whole grilled fish(sea bream, the last time) risotto with lobster and artichoke, filet mignon, etc. It is quite fantastic but a little stiff. Service is great, but it just is a little bit too sedate. You have to walk through this dining room to get to the bathrooms, and I swear I get more fish eye from the patrons than the poor sea bream. The front room is more to my taste, with a trattoria-like setting and first rate pizza(15 types, along with make your own) and a more modest, but still quite fancy menu: chicken marsala, veal piccata, salads, homemade pastas, shrimp, and nice dessert selections. I’ve been very happy with calamari appetizers and the carpaccio as a dinner. The wine list is extensive, with a pretty incredible selection of wines: by the glass up to the most select bottles, including magnificent barolos and amarones and many Italian bottles and a great collection of California wines(Opus One, Mondavi, etc.) and French(Margaux, Paulliac) and some less expensive South American choices. During the summer, the sidewalk seating is just charming. You get the front room menus and a relaxing perch to take in the toney village. That is my favorite time of year to visit and I’ve enjoyed wonderful early dinners in this setting, certainly worth a drive to enjoy the friendly service and delicious food. One caveat is that the summer evenings seem to bring out the mosquitoes, come prepared with a little spray, to make sure that you are eating and not being eaten. But I won’t end on a negative. I spent several wonderful weekend afternoons at Di Nardo’s this summer and was always remembered and welcomed with homemade ravioli or gnocchi and a wonderful glass of wine. Heartily recommended
