My skin is at it’s absolutely best it has EVER been! I’ve had plenty of facials that exfoliate and feel good but Misty goes above and beyond! I didn’t just get a facial, my skin received a therapeutic treatment. Misty set the standard. My skin feels amazing! Thanks again!!!

I have dealt with acne my who life, and in particular, a bad habit of picking that acne. As a teenager my dermatologist made it seem like pharmaceuticals were my option, but antibiotics where harsh on my stomach and compromised my ability to effectively utilize those antibiotics for health needs in the future. Accutane had too many scary side effects to even consider. Topical products were ineffective and often stung or burn. I was told I was out of options.
As a young adult, I was nervous about opening up to a complete stranger about my skin, especially my picking, and letting them near my face for a good look; I never let anyone near my face except family and very close friends. Dermatologists were always quick and somewhat sharp with me, which made me even more nervous.
Misty was wonderful. She helped my skin to heal and was understanding while still educating me and encouraging a healthier lifestyle and skin care techniques that would improve my skin. Unfortunately picking really slowed my progress, but progress was completely evident. Changes in diet and makeup helped, but so did reducing my stress, and especially the peels and products provided by Misty.
To skeptical parents: I did not grow up by any means rich, money was always a consideration, but I so wish misty had been available to me during my teenage years. Yes, there’s a price tag on quality skin care and the products associated with it, but there’s also a HUGE emotional price tag for not doing anything effective about it.
A dermatologist may be covered by your insurance. But consider how little time you spend with a doctor, how much they actually get to know you, and how distracted they tend to be. Expect to pay copays on every visit, as well as for the medications/​creams/​products they recommend, because they all seem to work the same: not at all. And when you add up all the washes and creams you might pick up at the grocery store as well, biweekly trips to Freckle (lessened once your skin clears up) start to pay for themselves, if only in effectiveness, support, and quality advice that you won’t easily find elsewhere.
Misty even shared with me a list of pore-​clogging ingredients to avoid, many of which were in my prescription acne products. Ironic, right?
So to anyone who’s nervous or considering or weighing your options: Misty is a wonderfully talented, kind, and knowledgeable individual. She wants to get to know you and your skin and is excited to see progress. Take advantage of that, and make the most of the treatments by following your Skincare routine and not picking ;-)

Misty was exceptionally accommodating to my schedule. I think she actually stayed much later than normal to fit me in. She was thorough, informative, polite and NOT looking to just sell me on a bunch of products and services. Overall a great experience once I finally made it in and I’ll definitely be visiting her for another facial soon.

Since moving to Kitsap, I’ve been trying to find a place that offers sugaring hair removal. All these hardy NW’ers like waxing but as a delicate Southern flower, my skin only likes sugar.
Freckle’s owner, Misty, is an aesthetician who is knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Having my hair pulled out isn’t exactly my fave, but she seems to make it less painful than it typically can be. Apparently, there are different types of sugar and one needs to have the right match to remove the hair without sticking & to reduce discomfort as well. Not only am I a complete weenie about hair removal, but also have sensitive skin and I really appreciate that Misty determined which type would work best for me. Her attention to detail was spot on.
Besides sugaring, Freckle offers acne skin care, facials and other skin rejuvenation therapies. They carry some high-​end skin care products as well so even if you don’t need a facial or a sugar, stop in and browse their items. The interior is bright, clean and has a great California vibe. I have gone back twice & booked my third appointment already. I love this place and I’m sure you will too.

There is nothing like this in Poulsbo (or maybe even Kitsap County). This darling place is a treat! The owner Misty is the nicest person and incredible at her craft! I’ve had two facials (highly recommend the Epicuren facial. WOW!) and sugaring. Misty and her team and skillful and highly trained and my skin has never looked better! And her sugaring technique is painless. If you want clearer, brighter skin, shaped brows, or a little «landscaping» in time for summer, this is the place to go!
