At first, I was ready to walk out because as we were perusing the menu, every single song being played was Christmas music. While we were there 2 days before Christmas, I really didn’t feel it was appropriate to play non-stop canned Christmas music in a Japanese/Chinese restaurant. Fortunately, a bunch of other people arrived shortly afterward which drowned out the sound of the music. The meal was very odd. Some dishes were good, some not so good. Sushi was very good except that we ordered a sushi appetizer for the table which came with 5 pieces for 3 people. How is that supposed to work? Obviously, the chef should have made 6 pieces. The pieces were quite big so he should have cut them smaller. This indicates thoughtlessness or a disconnect between the front of house and back. I ordered Thai Green Curry. Flavor was good but it was entirely too watery. Even after dumping my entire rice bowl in, the result was still soup. But the worst thing was that flies were buzzing us the entire meal. Completely unacceptable and, considering this was in the winter, the flies weren’t coming in from outside. They could only have been living in the restaurant meaning that there is an issue with cleanliness or food storage. Very bad sign. We will not return.

We got sushi and Chinese take out. Both were really good quality. The sushi was a little expensive A La Cart but we might consider ordering the party platter next time.

Excellent. Great sushi and great Chinese. We have been trying all the Chinese restaurants in a 15 mile radius to Potomac and this one is clearly the best. I am so glad we found them.

A pleasant lunch. Everything was good. Their sushi is great, but their hot foods are even better. The Korean spicy noddle soup was just so good.

This is my first Unilocal review, I don’t really do because I get lazy after all these goodies. But this is a must try. I love sashimi and I’m very picky about what I eat, you know after all it’s raw fish in your belly. The restaurant is kind of small, but very cozy. The tuna was heavenly, as the saying goes, you can taste the sea in your mouth. The rolls are also very tasty. The waiter is very friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a very nice expirence,we’ll definitely come back for more.

First things first, the sushi here is great. Great quality, great price, great presentation. My favorite roll is the Mt. Fuji roll– it melts in your mouth. Definitely try this when you’re here. The kitchen dishes are also quite flavorful. I ordered the Mongolian beef, and the Singapore rice noodles. My friend got the salmon teriyaki and the kung pao chicken. All four dishes were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere in this restaurant is great; the service here is friendly and attentive.

First time here. Got the sushi deluxe, avocado roll, and avocado salmon combo roll. Very good. 4 stars. Will come back for more. Also had house fried rice and vegetable lo mein. Sub standard. 2 stars. Will not get chinese food here again. Average 3 stars. Irony is the people running the joint are chinese. Their sushi chef is hispanic. Based on my experience, and a great number of others the sushi chef is carrying the joint on his back. Hope he’s compensated accordingly.

Love this place. We go all the time because it is easy and good. The service is great, I’m always amazed at how fast the food comes out(we always eat there). Love the sushi, and I highly recommend the pad thai. They don’t serve beer/wine, but hopefully will soon.

Let’s start off with the good things. The sushi was pretty good. The quality of the fish used in the rolls and nigiri was higher than average. I did notice though that the sushi rice did not seem to be actual proper«sushi rice» with vinegar, etc. it seemed like it was the exact same type of rice you’d eat with stir fry. Regardless, the sushi was pretty good mostly because of the great fish quality. The reason I give this place two stars is because of the teriyaki chicken that I ordered. This was bar none the worst teriyaki chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life. The chicken was a very artificial pasty white color and had this rubbery, homogeneous consistency that reminded me of the meat that you’d find in a cheap TV dinner. It simply did not taste like any real chicken that I’ve had. I’d be willing to bet that McDonalds chicken nuggets have more chicken in them than this teriyaki did. Also, the sauce was just plain bad. It literally did not have any sweetness at all. I don’t know if it’s always like this or if the chef just forgot to put sugar in, but it was just this weird black goop that somehow managed to be too bland and too salty at the same time. My father ordered a thai noodle soup dish, which I also wasn’t impressed by. The shrimp in the noodles were weird and tasted like the kind you’d buy in the frozen instant foods section of a grocery store(yes I know I’m using this analogy a lot in this review, but it’s for good reason). The noodles themselves were OK… maybe one step above instant ramen. I suspect that this place dedicates most of its resources to creating good sushi and pretty much neglects all of the other dishes on the menu. For this reason, I cannot recommend this place unless you only want sushi and literally nothing else.

This is by far the BEST place for sushi in the DCMDVA area! The quality of the food is outstanding. The entrée dishes are also exceptional in quality and flavor. If you come here you will not be disappointed. Try the no name roll if you’re a tuna lover!

By far the very best restaurant for Chinese food in the Potomac area the other Chinese food restaurant in the village pales in comparison foodwise. Also it pales in comparison service wise and timewise do not go to the restaurant that is next to Potomac pizza make sure you go to the one that is next to tally-ho restaurant this restaurant is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time. Also make sure you order from the restaurant because if you get sorry waiter on the way they take 90 minutes to deliver your food and they charge you an additional well they charged me an additional $ 8 for delivery in expected to tip for something that came an hour and a half later! Make sure to order from the restaurant they deliver for free and they deliver within an hour never use waiter on the way if you order through Unilocal it’s going to go through winter on the way and they are horrible.

The sashimi was very delectable, and their teriyaki eel was alright, but their udon noodle soup with tempura was excellent.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I came here because of a friends recommendation. I was very impressed with the quality of fish they serve. The sushi chef was very nice and told me they always have Toro available which is my favorite. They also have a great variety of rolls and fresh fish for sashimi. I am from San Francisco and eat sushi once a week. So far this place is the best I have had. I also tried some of there Chinese food options. All were spot on and delicious. I will make this my sushi spot every time I am back in town to Visit.

I have finally found my sushi spot. My friends and I ordered a sashimi platter for a quick lunch before hiking the Billy Goat Trail. Having eaten sushi in LA, New York, and even in Japan, I have to say that the raw quality of the fish was top-notch and by far the best I’ve had in the DMV. Also, great presentation. The pictures here simply do not do it justice. If you’re in the mood for something other than sushi/sashimi, I’ve heard that the Chinese dishes are also delicious. The staff was friendly and quick. They were very good about accommodating my group. The atmosphere was also good. Clean and well-designed. Definitely will come back to try the Chinese food. Highly recommended. Awesome Awesome Awesome!

Let me preface with a disclaimer: I think Potomac, Maryland is where good taste goes to die. Money doesn’t buy class, and this town is filthy rich. Case in point: Potomac is actually Native American for nouveau riche. True story. That said, we were at an estate sale to take advantage of the kind of careless financial decision making that runs rampant in the DC area because, well, who doesn’t like a bargain. Bargain hunting, like other kinds of hunting, is a good way to work up an appetite, so we found ourselves at En Bistro after a brief stop at the bike shop next door. Side note: I asked for a quote on a Scott Comp road bike that was hanging on the wall, and the self entitled little snot acted like I’d just asked him to build me a two bedroom treehouse. It’s not that hard, look it up. But I digress. We eat a lot of sushi. This meal was easily one of the best casual sushi experiences I’ve had in my 30 years. –Attentive but not officious server. –Complimentary amuse bouche. –Best ginger dressing on the app salad I’ve ever had. –Delicious spicy scallop roll, and three others were close behind. –Lunch for two with tip just under $ 45 We’ll be back, and considering the location that’s saying something.

Fresh sushi, friendly staff, very reasonable prices. Definitely worth the drive from D.C. There are a bunch of chinese dishes on the menu also. Will try next time. But in the meantime, the sushi is highly recommended.
