This place is so killer. I’ve never had anything bad here. The fish tacos and the bistro fries are a standard for me. They could def use more parking but what can you do.

Lunch at Lexie’s Joint was very good. C ordered a chicken hamburger and I had the fish tacos. Both were excellent; very flavorful. We also shared a small order or specialty fries with truffle salt. Highly recommended! Everything was fine except that the menu uses code words, so you have to keep asking the server questions like, «What does ‘hush’ mean?» A minute later, «What does ‘carmi’ mean?» Etc. I imagine that some people find this cute; for example, a 6 year old, but I find it annoying. Aside from that rather small matter, I really liked the food. The menu is interesting and I would come back. Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Ambiance: 3.5 stars

When we were stationed in Portsmouth nh we went here, quite often actually each everytime the burgers and Bistro friES were amazing! Now stationed in San Deigo california still no burger compares to you guys. I miss this little joint, thankfully I’m from Connecticut so maybe when I come home to visit I might take the drive to have a burger! keep it up guys your amazing!

I love places like this that serve only what they do best that way anything you order is delicious. Truffle fries were great. Four of us all ordered different burgers and loved each of them. The only downside is the joint is small and hard to get seated dining in. Great for take out.

Wonderful hamburgers and fries at a price that does not break the bank. Personally, I like my burger just with cheese, but some of the combos really hit it out of the ballpark. Quality has improved markedly in the last year, and now has the best burger in the Seacoast.

Yes! Yes! Yes! So good, on point with their toppings. Do NOT skip the fries! Easy on the pocket book as well. Will come back again and again!

On our way from Boston to Portland, we decided to try and eat something fairly close on to our route. I Unilocaled lunch in Portsmouth, and came to find that Lexie’s was the undisputed winner. It was 1:30 when we arrived, so we had no wait and were gestured to seats right away. Unfortunately I had read the reviews concerning the bathrooms(not so pleasant smell), and we were seated right next to them. I would have asked to move tables, but one– I didn’t feel like being a bother, and two– I really couldn’t smell anything. Unfortunately this is the only reason I knocked a star off. The smell kind of comes and goes in waves, and at times t was pretty strong. HOWEVER… The burger, fries and shake more than make up for it! I just had the single 4oz blue angel– blue cheese, caramelized onion, BBQ sauce, and it was more than enough for me and SO so good. The fries were out of this work. We got the doctored up version with the garlic aioli, Parmesan and bacon… Wonderful. My husband and I split the house favorite shake– chocolate, vanilla and PB. Again, amazing! Definitely don’t let a little stench steer you away! And, hey! If you’re super concerned about it, just take it to go!

I don’t eat hamburgers and whenever I go to a new restaurant the only thing I generally order is a grilled cheese. Let’s face it: if you can’t make a grilled cheese, you pretty much suck. Well, my first grilled cheese was great. It was wonderful. The cheese was all melty and the bread was nice and brown. Someone knew how to grill it properly — NOT put it in a toaster oven and call it a day. The problem is that the second time I had one, it was done the other way, NOT the way I expected. So, I’m not sure I feel comfortable ordering a grilled cheese again. I highly suggest someone go to Flight in Dover, NH to see how a grilled cheese is done: probably the best I have ever tasted. In the world. That having been said, I like Lexie’s. It’s like a NY pit-stop where you can get something to eat without being in a restaurant. It’s clean. Someone complained about the bathrooms. I do hope they address that issue, because there is NO friggin’ way I’ll ever visit again if there is ANY stench. The staff are really nice and friendly, and no sandwich and fries cost more than $ 7 from what I can tell. The fries are quite good, too, which compensated for my second grilled cheese that was a bit sub-standard.

A nice overall place for lunch. Burgers were juicy, tasteful and came at decent size. Prices are OK. We tried the«Highway man», «stairway to heaven» and a custom made burger. all of them were pretty good. Tasty fries too. I recommend the place for lunch or a quick snack!

Found this lil gem today at lunch. Enjoyed fish tacos, truffle fries and a cucumber mint melon juice. Will definitely return. Great service too. They seem to have a nice burger selection including a veggie option. Yum!

The burger here was awesome! They have a great selection and tasty sides. The bistro fries are top notch. This is a small venue so you might have to plan your arrive around the off peak hours. I had the farmhouse burger because any burger with egg is eggcellent!!!

What is really left to say about Lexie’s food. I am writing this for the Tuesday menu. I had the Moxy burger … Unbelievable! Perfectly coos burger, pickled onions, blue cheese, short rib and a horseradish sauce. Absolutely my favorite burger here. The fries were with a curried aioli sauce, sriracha sauce, and green onions … Again, my favorite! I had a diet cherry soda … Perfect accompaniment. The one thing that I need to mention is that the service is incredibly spotty in the dining room. They typically deliver the fries long ahead of the burgers and in our case, they were almost gone by the time the burgers arrived. To make this even worse, we did not receive our sodas until after our burgers were gone. This after two separate trips to try and get our drinks! Service 2 stars … Food 5 stars.

Hands down, best burgers I’ve ever eaten! Normally I don’t like burgers but the ones here are perfect! Not only the burgers, but the drinks and fries are always on point and well made EVERYTIME. What my boyfriend and I got– Cucumber Mint Lemonade– Which was something I thought I’d try after hearing so many great things about it. I have to say this isn’t my favorite thing here, but it is very refreshing and delicious! I loved the mint taste in the lemonade! Peanut Butter Oreo Shake– YOUHAVETOGETTHIS! It literally taste like heaven. It is so flavorful, and the peanut butter doesn’t over take the shake, and the crushes oreos was just the cherry on top! This is making me salivate as I’m writing this review! I believe it is just vanilla ice cream, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, and crushed oreo! Stairway to Heaven Burger–(braise short rib, caramel onions, bbq, &I added a runny egg on it!) My boyfriend and I both agree this burger is the best we’ve eaten here. The braise short rib was delicious and was marinated with sweet bbq sauce. I also love egg on anything, so putting a runny egg on, made it not only picture worthy, but delicious! **they have gluten free buns** which is a plus! Bistro Fries– There’s just nothing bad I can say about this place, the fries here are also the best fries I’ve ever eaten. I am a potato lover so I know my fries. They were crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside, and thin! The sauce on this is their special sauce, with cheese, and bacon. This is something you have to try because you definitely won’t regret it. The only downside I would say is that the place is small, and if you get a seat near the bathroom, it probably wouldn’t smell pleasant. Also prices can be pretty pricy for a burger, $ 5 – 8 a burger, but it is well worth it! Never thought I’d like any burger joint, but this is it!

Great food for take out… unless the place is empty I could never eat there The toilets are basically in the middle of the dinning floor and you can smell them from the line waiting to order the food Too many people cramped in a tiny area

We literally don’t eat anywhere else when in the Mouth of Port. And even if you think this is strictly a burger dive, my wife the vegetarian still has an incredible black bean burger to choose from and can get the same toppings as you can for the beef blend they offer. Lexie’s is small and we haven’t waited in line about 75% of the visits. It has never lasted more than like 15 minutes but it does feel cramped inside the doorway as other customers try to sneak by you to leave. There is a counter near the front window as well as about eight tables in the«restaurant» part of the building. Start with the truffle fries and don’t be bashful about wanting a second order. The frappes are on point and the beer I believe, rotates in and out with local delicacies. I usually get a burger with a toppings combo of maybe egg and and caramelized onions or avacado and mushrooms. Tons of toppings to suit anyone’s palate and they cook your meat to order. Service is outstanding and quick. I once had a burger order completely wrong which they rectified about three minutes later with what I had ordered. The only thing I’ve ever been disappointed by is the fact that they no longer have their tater tots(I posted a pic of these years ago). Bring them back! It’s a bit out of town and has the smallest parking lot ever. Look for on-street parking although even that seems to be a struggle at times. Even if you have to park a ¼ mile away, you’ll need a reason to walk off the heavy calories you just consumed as you smile blistfully back to your vehicle.

Delicious, but probably not the healthiest meal. We had The Big Catch Sandwich, Bistro Fries and Fried Pickles. Yep, fried, fried and fried. The Big Catch was great and messy — nice and crispy, with just the right flavors in the condiments. The Bistro Fries were good, but the bacon just reminded me of those fake bacon bits. Fried Pickles were clearly fried in super hot oil… they were not soggy and didn’t soak up the oil. I’d probably try a different place next time for lunch. However, based on the all the reviews, I felt like I had to at least try it out… and it was good!

I have been awaiting my visit to Lexie’s for a couple years now, as each time I’m in Portsmouth we end up either running out of time or find somewhere else we want to eat. This place is A.Maz.Ing. Bf and I gave a lot of thought to what we’d order and ultimately I’m not sure we’d change a thing! We had the milkshake special(vanilla ice cream, pb, Oreos, chocolate sauce) and it was the perfect consistency. I could’ve drank it in one sip if it was possible. We also ordered onion rings and fried pickles. We opted for no fries since we both had some the day before. The onion rings were perfectly breaded and the onions were nice and tender. The fried pickles were super hot and crunchy, we both agreed we didn’t like the sauce(not chipotle fans), but otherwise delish. For burgers, he had the green lantern and liked it a lot. I made my own with american cheese, bacon, grilled onions and hush sauce. I’d probably order the same thing again, if I don’t get tempted by one of the other amazing options! We arrived around noon on a Sunday and had about a 5 minute wait. Service was very fast and I appreciated the free water. Would come back in a heartbeat!
