Best coffee ever. How overexposed, overrated and OVERPRICED Starbucks stays in business with places like this around is beyond me. I’d give GJ’s 20 stars if I could

I got an iced coffee and the milk they gave had turned :(I was too grossed out to ask for another one. If there were any coffee alternative in the mall I would be there ASAP. You’re better off getting a dollar coffee at the McDonald’s in the food court

The coffee tasted like milk, took about 5 – 6 minutes to make. Muffin was decent but extremely extremely small. The girls that waited on us seemed nice enough but the girl that made the coffee’s didn’t give a ‘what’. Probably wouldn’t do again.

The coffee’s OK, as far as it goes. However, don’t expect to go there and get a blend or any information about coffees. These people are sweet, but they know absolutely NOTHING about coffee, nor do they seem to care. I had a gift certificate, and went there expecting to finish it up with a pound of my favorite blend — half Colombian, quarter Kenyan and quarter Mocha Java. The fact that I even asked them to do a blend blew them out of the water. It took me some time to convince them they could actually do that. ANDTHESEWERETHEOWNERS!!! Or so they said. Then when they finally did it, he charged me twice the price listed for the Colombian, because, he said, it was a half-pound, not a pound. Are you kidding? No no no, he said, it’s the corporation, not me, what can I do, I’m only one out of 500 franchises. What an idiotic excuse. That’s just greedy and a rip-off. So this pound of coffee cost me $ 19. Incredible. If I hadn’t had the remainder of my gift certificate to use up, I would have walked. Funny thing is, I’d gone there before when just the workers were there, and actually had gotten my blend without too much trouble. When I said that, he wanted to know who it was who’d done that. Another are you kidding? I’m not going to have this lunatic go after one of the poor schlubs working for him. True story of my visit to Gloria Jean’s, no embellishment. Unless you’re at the mall and just getting some sweet goopy coffee drink, stick to Breaking New Grounds or the other cafes in Portsmouth; They seem to be the only games in Strafford County and the Seacoast. 0 stars for this place. And a big boost for the small places who know their stuff.

I really like all the drinks that I’ve ever ordered from here but for the high prices I expect a little nicer, friendlier service. Always young kids working here and they are not as caring for customers as some of the small local coffee shops that charge similar prices. There are a lot of cool coffee cups, mugs and other gift items in the store but these are also pretty expensive to me. Good for a trip around the mall once in a while but hard to make a habit out of $ 5 cups of coffee.

Ordered one iced coffee and it took 10 minutes to make, swear to god, ok maybe 5 or 6 minutes. The dude was the slowest worker Ive ever seen and served several people behind me in line before me, if only he knew I am the phantom!
