My husband and I decided to try this place out since we’re not big fans of chain restaurants. We hadn’t been here since the new owners bought it. The inside is much brighter with the new paint, which is nice. I had forgotten how small it is inside, but we were able to get a table when we arrived. The low ceilings and small dining area make it really loud, do it’s definitely not the place to go for a quiet, intimate meal. Our waitress was great — very friendly and efficient. On our way out, the two ladies behind the bar were also friendly — gave us some tips about docking if/when we come by boat in warmer weather. The food was a bit disappointing, however. We thought about ordering the shrimp tacos since there are so many positive reviews about them, but they seemed overpriced for 3 tacos. We both ended up getting the vodka pasta with shrimp and scallops and different sides. The bread that came out first was unremarkable and while I was interested in the mango butter, it was rock hard. I did love my Caesar salad… very fresh. The main dish was disappointing. Nothing special about it… was just warm enough… my side of asparagus was JUST warm enough too. Didn’t feel like it was anything I couldn’t have easily made at home for much less money. We may go back… not sure. The nice staff is the big redeeming grace for the place.

Dont let the outside turn you about, the inside is nice, simple and the food is well worth the price. I find myself a calimari snob, and no place could do right by it. This place does it right. Fish tacos are great, the hush puppies are perfect, and the service is fantastic. Would recommend to anyone looking for good sea food.

My first time here. I like that it’s by the water. Outside seating had a fireplace on the deck. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was super good. Their shrimp tacos are their most popular dish and I understand why… they were delicious! I would highly recommend this place.

This place is amazing! Such a hidden gem with the freshest seafood. They aren’t on the menu, but order the raw oysters — They’re HUGE and fresh and go perfectly with horseradish and cocktail sauce. The shrimp tempura tacos are cooked perfectly with large portions of shrimp. The pineapple slaw is a great mix of sweet and tangy. Service was excellent and our waitress was wonderful. Definitely a must if you’re in the area!

I came here based on a personal recommendation to share a tasty, relaxing meal with my husband mid-week. The location is quaint, inviting and very scenic. The restaurant is tucked away from anything but people who know where it is located. It is definitely a spot for locals. Yea! I loved the recent upgrade to the interior dining and bar area. The staff was friendly and helpful in selecting our meal. We had the chowder and it was good. Our crab cakes were full of lump crab meat and the veggies were served al dente. The presentation lacked any flair — the food was just on the plate, juices from one item running into another no garnish just there. The portions are small, nothing to complain about just realize that you are going there for an experience not to fill your stomach. The taste of the chowder — okay. The crab cakes — hmmmm. The veggies — blah! I consider their menu to be healthy without any special taste, flair or homemade restaurant touches. The food is just on the plate you eat it, turn around and love the view, compliment the staff on their excellent service and leave feeling that you supported a local business. That’s cool. I will be back because the food was good but the staff was excellent and the beautiful setting makes it worth returning. You will enjoy your meal and the staff. Please support this local business as the new manager continues to improve the process.

I’m visiting on a work trip, and didn’t have any idea of where to grab dinner. Unilocal led me to this establishment, and you guys certainly don’t disappoint! This place is great! My coworker and I showed up early dinner time on a beautiful late summer evening, and we chose to eat on the deck. Casey was our server and she was awesome. The menu isn’t huge, but everything on it is done to perfection. I had the shrimp tempura tacos, which came with two sides, and there was plenty to take home. My coworker had she-crab soup and some shrimp/pasta thing that was great also. I’m here for a week and would love to come back for dinner every night if I could. I will certainly be back before I leave. HIGHLY recommended.
